@@justanotherbob69 10-1 too. My most irrational fear is that we'll one day see a game where that score shows up, only for the trailing team to kick a field goal and give us a non-Scorigami 10-4 final.

In American Samoa's defense, their regular team had some snafu getting their visas to enter Australia, and their U-21 team had final exams, so that was a bunch of high schoolers they sent to lose 31-0.
Also, 12 years later, the goalie on that team was also their goalie in their first-ever international win.

I always think of Game 3 of the 1998 NBA Finals in which the Chicago Bulls beat the Utah Jazz 96-54. The 54 points at the time was the lowest score by an NBA team since the shot clock had been introduced in 1954. The Bulls won the series 4 games to 2. What made Game 3 particularly weird was that every other game in the series was close. The Bulls' three other wins were by five, four, and one points respectively.

Another weird score was the Chicago Bulls had their fewest points in a game versus the Heat on April 10, 1999, with 49 points vs. Miami Heat's 82. 49 points? In a NBA game? Or probably the more recent Dolphins winning 70-20 vs. Denver Broncos. Ugh...That stung for me.

Was hoping to see the 74-72 7OT Texas A&M LSU game, or the 77-63 SMU Houston game from last year for NCAAF.
For NCAAM the 7OT 75-73 Cincy-Bradley game or the more recent 6OT 127-117 Top-20 Jim battle of Boheim's 'Cuse and Calhoun's Huskies.
For more NFL you could cover the worst (only a safety) loss of 45-2 form 1953, the highest coring total of 72-41, the only 4 point final of 10-4 from almost exactly 100 years ago, the highest scoring NFL ties 43-43 before the rule change and 37-37 after. Or of course the 3rd-highest scoring game ever, the 54-51 Rams Chiefs game of 2018 (same year as LSU/A&M).

Out in the Australian country in 1990, a local Australian rules match featured Campbell's Creek beating Primrose. Typically, a good team averages somewhere between 13 and 20 goals in a game. Well, Primrose were the American Samoa of their competition and were copping sound 50 to 70 goal defeats, sometimes without even scoring. On this particular day, Campbell's Creek put up 100 goals and 34 behinds for a total of 634 points. The previous record score anywhere in the country was a measly 499 set in 1986.
By halftime, the Creek had put up 45 goals, and Primrose's players, many of whom had already played a full reserves game earlier, and some who had already played an under 17's game BEFORE that one, reportedly had to be convinced to continue playing. And who would blame them, when a few of their players were literal teenagers playing in their third match that Saturday?
Early into the last quarter, the scoring record had easily been beaten and the only thing the locals cared about by that time was whether their club would reach the legendary 100 goal mark. The game had run on so long that the sun was quite literally on the verge of disappearing in the final quarter, so the viewers got into their cars and put on the headlights in lieu of floodlights. The Creek managed to reach 100 goals with just 6 seconds left.
Legend says that when the result was telephoned to the state newspaper, the guy there had to call the club back and ask them if that was a legitimate score.
The result was briefly positive for Primrose because people saw the headlines and actually came down to play for the club. Don't get me wrong though, they were still being pummelled weekly. Primrose ultimately folded four years later when they couldn't get more players.
Ironically, Campbell's Creek today are now the American Samoa of their competition and frequently lose by 30 to 40 goals.
Since that day in 1990, the 634 score is far and away the highest recorded in a game (some will mention a certain 687 from 1983, but that was a junior game), with the next highest being 535 set on two occasions, then a 515, then 499 twice. Yeah, a 499 score was recorded again...by Campbell's Creek...against Primrose...in 1993.

That Rangers vs Red Wings game is more absurd than you might realize:
The Rangers managed 9 shots the entire game - that’s 3 shots per period. The Rangers Goaltender Ken Mccauly made 53 saves along with the fifteen goals allowed. If you want more ridiculous hockey scores Five Points Videos made a video about this game and four others in the worst beat downs in hockey history.
For the low scorers out there here is one legendary contest:

Fun fact about American Samoa’s team, in Samoan culture there is a recognized third gender called Fa’afafine, which is similar to being trans feminine, and one of their players for AS’s first FIFA recognized win is Fa’afafine.
Her name is Jaliyah Saelua and she actually stars in the documentary Next Goal Wins that is being adapted into a movie directed by Taika Waititi.

My old one had died and I had missed a weekend of football, so i was really anxious to see a game. 2 nephews had helped me carry it into the house and it had almost got dropped. I missed the first part of the game, but was listening on the radio on the way home. The radio announcers had mentioned "flurries." As I turned my new TV on and sat down, my first reaction was WHATS WRONG WITH MY NEW TV because the screen was white. Then I realized that that was how Foxboro looked that day.

The professional box lacrosse records are actually ridiculous though:
Most goals: Nov. 21 2001 Calgary Roughnecks vs Montreal Express 32 - 17 road win for Montreal
Least goals: Jan. 11 2001 Toronto Rock vs Albany Attack 7-4 home win for Toronto (I think this is bullshit because there’s just no way two teams didn’t combine for less than 11 goals in a league that’s existed since 1989). Apparently nobody has ever got a shutout either, not even a 1er on the board; as the lowest goal tally ever recorded in pro box lacrosse has been 2 goals by one team (tied multiple). I also think that one is bogus as well.

So in cricket, a score like "260-6" is actually just one team's score (read verbally as "two sixty for six"). The first number is their runs, the second number is how many wickets they've lost (batsmen dismissed). At the end of a cricket match, you say how many runs the winning team won by, if the team batting first wins. If the team batting second wins, the match is over the moment they have 1 run more than the team batting first, so their margin of victory is stated in terms of how many wickets they still had before being all out.

I once heard in a 2011 game the Flyers played Winnipeg I believe and won 10-8 and if you adjusted for era it was the highest scoring NHL game ever.

There was a Kraken/Kings game last year where the final score was 9-8. The Kraken had eight goals in the first two periods then let the Kings score twice in the third period to tie before scoring the game winner in overtime. I think it might have been the highest scoring game to go to sudden death.

@@johnnypoker46 Yeah but that was a high scoring era. Adjusted for era the 2011 game is higher.

My sophomore year of hs, our baseball team went to a Mizzou game. They were playing Texas and beat them a final score of 31-12 (yes baseball😂) I always remember one player Jacob Priday going 5-5 with 4 homers
