Well.......... after the disastrous first attempt (see video below) I thought I'd give the return to home and land feature of betaflight another shot ........ what's the saying about repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of madness.......anyway .

Can we have a part 3 please with a forward facing cam instead of being behind you. Also you was quite low when you activated the Return to home feature, maybe go a bit higher. 😊

i know nothing about 7" mine kept bursting into smoke so i took it apart, but i noticed your last few attempts where it dropped heading back to you, i think its set to RTH point everytime you arm, you can change to first arm only. I think it was too close to home to try so just dropped maybe? however why it ditched before that i got no idea, have you un-ticked the Ukraine landing mode?

Ah yeah , i think your definitely right about it setting a new homepoint on the arm on attempt 3 . Looking over my footage on attempt 2 I've got some ideas , I think maybe my rth speed is to high and my max angle isn't enough to stop or slow it down enough and possibly my decent distance is to close to the home point (currently set to 20m)

I wonder how the iNav guys have this so dialed in, but Betaflight is renouned for being so bad with GPS. It seems to want to come back far too quickly too, then trying to slam the anchors on. Odd.

Yeah some strange issues with this quad . I've altered some setting now like approch speed and decent distance , hopefully will be OK now so will cross my fingers and gonna go for attempt 3 🤣

Really great video, multi cam suck to edit, takes so much time - fair play! I need to try this on my 7" next, so will be a future video for me! Have to reference this!

Thanks dude . Yeah took a bit of time to edit this one but worth it . I've made some more tweeks to the settings now and need to try them . I think I may have it .
