This was so insanely entertaining! You are so adorably fun to watch Helene! I love the way that you talk to the camera! "Are you comfortable over there?" - to the camera
S’mores pop tarts are the best ones! We do have a huge problem with all our snacks being really sugary or salty. Unfortunately anything good for you in the USA is really expensive.
"Is this pure sugar?" Yep! ;) Haha! I loved your reactions! I'm canadian and we have a few of the same snacks, I love oreos and all the salty snacks but Pop tarts and cap'n crunch are way too sugary and processed for me. Your apron is perfect, by the way. I laughed out loud to your comment about milking cows :) Keep doing these vlogs, very entertaining.
This was such a fun video! I haven't tried the ketchup chips (I hadn't even heard of them before this video!) but I think I'm going to have to get my hands on some soon!
Haha - Helene, this video was a crack up to watch. I used to LOVE brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts when I was a kid - they were my favorite. Never cared much for twinkies, though. As far as super processed sugary little debbie kinds of treats, I always liked Oatmeal Cream Pies the best. I haven't had anything like that in years! Are chocolate chip cookies not made much in Denmark? I guess I never thought of them as an American treat! Also, Hershey's is not really a very good chocolate (although I will eat and enjoy a Hershey's cookies n cream chocolate bar once in a blue moon). I never use Hershey's chocolate chips anymore, though, or Nestle for that matter. Ghiradelli chocolate chips are the best you can find here. But European chocolate in general is infinitely better than the chocolate in the States! I remember my parents bringing me back some chocolate when they visited England and having my mind blown. The chocolate here is so waxy and without much flavor (unless you go to a independent chocolatier, then it's really good. And Ghiradelli, which I believe is out of San Francisco, that's pretty good, too). POTATO CHIPS though, chips are always my weakness over anything sweet. Any kind of chips. Yum.
Hehe, Helene you can definitely get garlic salt in Denmark :P For instance Santa Maria make some ;);) We always had it at home growing up :) Great video! :)
I love your apron , I always wear one or I'm covered in flour or dust. I don't bake too often because I can't resist eating what I bake . Be careful with all the sugar! I want you to stay healthy! I enjoyed watching ❤️
This was so fun to watch! I never tried any of those treats either - european as well :)- and always hearing and reading about them growing up i always wanted to taste some of those as well, especially Pop Tarts and twinkies after getting addicted to Gilmore girls ;) So it was wonderful to watch you try those :) Thank so much for sharing :)
I love brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts. And when I was young I watched the show who's the boss and the father in the show toasted and then buttered the pop tart and I love it that way.
Helene, with the rest of the chocolate chips you can add them in your pancake batter for something sweet for breakfast. I do this with a bunch of strawberries on top. And you certainly CAN eat them right out of the bag! I loved this video!
You picked some good snacks to try. I love pop tarts myself. Also a big frito and Cheeto fan. Next time you should try Doritos. They also come in ranch flavor which are the best. Do you have M&M ‘s over there? If not you should try those as well. Great video
I’ve lived in America my whole life and never had a Twinkie and rarely toasted a poptart! Haha I love that garlic salt though. I sauté zucchini and carrots and put a little of that on there and it’s amazing. This vlog was so fun! -Mel
This was highly entertaining. Helene, you are so adorable trying your treats from the US. I live in Canada where we have a much smaller variety of treats than in the USA. However, we do have a few treats which I believe are uniquely Canadian such as Coffee Crisp bars, Aero bars, Wunderbars, Smarties candies and the original (and delicious) ketchup chips. If you send me your address I'll send you a boxful! My favourite "American" treat is the Birthday Cake Oreo which have been available in Canada for a little while now.
ZEUSSSSSS :D I bet he loved the packaging it came in haha I've never been much of a fan of pop tarts although I think I've only ever had like British imitations rather than the real thing. Hersheys and Reeses are great though :D We don't get much American stuff over here either but when we do I always like to look at it even if I don't buy anything
S’mores pop tarts are the best pop tarts. The strawberry ones are the “regular” pop tarts. But yeah they were great as a kid because it was like dessert for breakfast. Now I eat the s’mores ones as a treat.
Hi helene love watching a blogger who doesnt read ya yeee, can you tell me where your glasses are from i love them also can you do more vlogging out and about
Did you want to try Pop Tarts because of Gilmore Girls? As a kid, I wanted to try Twinkies because of the Macaulay Culkin movie Richie Rich. I didn't try them until years later. I've never liked Pop Tarts. They smell good when they're done in the toaster, but they taste sickly sweet
I like Cap'n Crunch Peanut butter cereal more then the regular. Have a mild love for Pop Tarts, but much prefer Toaster Strudel, my favorite is the Cinnamon. (It also comes with icing but it's way to sugary for me.) Havn't tried the ketchup chips, but I love the Southern Biscuits and gravy flavor, it actually tastes like biscuits and gravy, kind of crazy! Agreed about how many foods in the US is either to sugary and/or too salty and expensive, it actually kind of drives me batty that healthier foods are more expensive, which makes it difficult for shoppers on a strict budget to do their regular shopping.
I am from the U.S. but I have never had ketchup potato chips, garlic salt, Captain Crunch, or chocolate chip cookie dough pop tarts. Very interesting that you've had more snacks than I have. Oh the sadness that comes with living with a diabetic health nut. :'(
I suggest trying the dark chocolate, the bittersweet, or the mint chips next time. I’m not a fan of too sweet things but chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven is something I cannot help but eat.
This was so great....Fun facts: (1) Most of these are the foods kids ate from late 60s to early 80s....when you grow up on them..its ingrained : (2) a Twinkie can live forever...leave one on a counter for years..it will not go bad...which is scary...Where did you order the food from?? Also make the entire cookie recipe and take the extras to work for coworkers...very US thing to do....have you ever been to the channel FACTS? it's Irish people tasting gfood from all over the world and can be very funny.
Oh, your chocolate chip cookies made me want to bake! Here is a classic American cookie recipe (the Snickerdoodle). I bet you will love Snickerdoodles, as you enjoyed the cinnamon roll Oreos. 😊 www.geniuskitchen.com/amp/recipe/soft-snickerdoodle-cookies-97496
Oh my - a box of what we call junk food. You can't eat that sort of thing all of the time, but as a treat now and then, it's OK. The Pop Tarts, Cap'n Crunch and Twinkies are things that were treats when we were children. I have fond memories of them but I can't say I eat them much as an adult. Though I suggest putting the Twinkies in the freezer - they're good frozen. And if you get the chocolate Pop Tarts and lightly toast them, they're a good dessert - they taste like a brownie. It's funny - I'm American and haven't tried all of these items or even heard of some of them. The ketchup chips for example - I've never seen them before. I haven't tried the 2 flavors of Oreos - I stick with the classic. I don't like white chocolate - too sweet so I would pass on that as well. I don't particularly like potato chips (I'm definitely in the minority on this) but Fritos are a guilty pleasure. They're great with chili or for dipping especially if you get the Scoops Fritos. Oh, and making chocolate chip cookies from scratch is absolutely the best! Warm from the oven with a glass of milk - delicious! You get a very different texture when you melt the butter though so I would just try softened butter next time. So there's a tutorial on American junk food! ;-) BTW - Zeus is absolutely gorgeous! I'm glad he got a treat too. My cats absolutely love tuna.
Helene, just want you to know that a lot of the food from America is made with genetically modified ingredients. Most people probably are not aware of this or don't care but I just don't believe it is healthy. I try to eat more non GMO foods when I can now. With that said, I have never eaten twinkles or pop tarts but I loved capt crunch when I was a kid.
GMO is the least of the problems with the unhealthy snacks Helene tried but it's interesting you pointed out the GMO aspect. I'm glad she doesn't indulge in America snacks/sweets often, it's all bad on the health scale. Both GMO and non-GMO chips, highly processed food and candy are not good for anyone.
Hershey's chocolate is horrible! European chocolate is the best! Love pop tarts though. I like whit frosting with strawberry filling. You should try Froot Loops next time. Most American kids' cereal is mostly sugar. I enjoyed watching your video.
Oh gosh! This made me laugh! It’s a box of unhealthy foods popular with children. Everything there is highly processed and high in sugar and or sodium. I would never buy a box of poptarts for my daughter as they have no nutritional value. It is the same with the Captain Crunch. They were marketed for children for years because only in recent decades did parents discover the high sugar content. Companies are now forced to put the sugar and ingredient contents on labels. Most people l know would not eat these or give them to their children, except as a very rare treat if at all. Obesity is a huge problem here. Processed sugary foods appear in movies and books because they are things conscientious parents would rarely buy if ever-This makes them a guilty pleasure for some adults. Now chips, healthy or not, l don’t know a person who does not eat them every now and then! Those are a true American treat! I have to admit, watching you open that box made me think, oh dear! You have ordered our worst treats! Twinkies, many of us ate as children, but again this was before people knew how filled with preservatives and sugar these foods are. Home baked chocolate chip cookies most Americans eat every now and then. We have countless recipes for them. I wondered if you were being polite as you ate the poptarts and cereal and twinkies. Were you shocked at how sugary they are? They taste way too sweet for many of us!
She Writes I will say that as I was filming, I didn’t mind the sugar too much. I was after all filming my first bites. But gradually, the sugar really got to me, and especially the pop tarts, cap’n crunch and the twinkies were too much for me! I feel kind of bad for this but I actually threw some of it out because I couldn’t have it in the house anymore 🙊 I know that’s such a waste and I rarely do that! But all that sugar really got to me 🙃 Thank you for your elaborate and interesting comment!
Who doesn't LOVE Helene!!! Great video! I can watch you for hours 😊😊😊
You are adorable! I never realized how lucky we are to have these in every supermarket! Sorry, we have tempted you this way! I loved this video!
This was so insanely entertaining! You are so adorably fun to watch Helene! I love the way that you talk to the camera! "Are you comfortable over there?" - to the camera
What a fun video Helene.
Just seeing your face as you try out all our American treats put a smile on my face.
HELENE, you have such an adorable personality, enjoy the treats.❤️
I am American, and you have made me so proud! The chocolate chip cookies are best when eaten while still warm and soft. Melt in your mouth!!
I adore watching your vlogs! Your life looks so cozy and inviting!! Plus Zeus is beautiful!! :)
S’mores pop tarts are the best ones! We do have a huge problem with all our snacks being really sugary or salty. Unfortunately anything good for you in the USA is really expensive.
You talking to Zeus made my day! This was such a fun vlog :)
I think pop tarts are best right out of the package. 😊
"Is this pure sugar?" Yep! ;) Haha! I loved your reactions! I live in the US and have tasted most of these but your excitement is wonderful to watch! haha, Great video as always!
What a great idea! my mouth is still watering, the cookies looked delicious :)
All right enough of watching time for eating! 😁
This was super fun!!

Out of ur food haul iv tryed most. Dislike pop tarts - hershes-twinkies and cheetos. LOVE REESES 😍
Hehe, Helene you can definitely get garlic salt in Denmark :P For instance Santa Maria make some ;);) We always had it at home growing up :) Great video! :)

But did you eat some of the cookie dough before you put it into the oven? 'Cause, yum!
Great video Helene; I really enjoyed it!!! :)))
you are so frickin adorable in this
great video, your reactions to these treats make me wanna go out and buy them though i hardly eat them. zeus is gorgeous. how old is he?
I love brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts. And when I was young I watched the show who's the boss and the father in the show toasted and then buttered the pop tart and I love it that way.
Also nutty bars are a favorite of mine if you like chocolate and peanut butter. And really any little Debbie snacks.
I'm American and some of these I've never heard of, like ketchup chips 😂. I absolutely adore you! You're too funny.
If you still have any cookie dough pop tarts left, they're the best after they've been in the freezer for a bit!

Can't believe Denmark doesnt have garlic salt 😮i use it on everything haha.
S’mores pop tarts are the best pop tarts. The strawberry ones are the “regular” pop tarts. But yeah they were great as a kid because it was like dessert for breakfast. Now I eat the s’mores ones as a treat.
Growing up in Texas, Fritos are a basic food group. :-)
Hi helene love watching a blogger who doesnt read ya yeee, can you tell me where your glasses are from i love them also can you do more vlogging out and about
I'm in California, I'll be happy to send you more American snacks!
Ugh I'm having cravings soooo bad now 😂
Great video. You are my idea of Hygge.
I love the garlic salt 💖😂

You had to start eating Pop-Tarts as a child to appreciate their sugary sweetness. We make fun of Twinkies in America, but people do buy and eat them.
Twinkies, I seriously think they changed the recipe from when I was a kid, because now the filling tastes kind of weird and chemically, to me.
Damn, and am on a diet...i always am!!
I like the chocolate pop tart
Hello, Helene. Here in Brazil We like eating brigadeiro. In my case, of course.
This was so great....Fun facts: (1) Most of these are the foods kids ate from late 60s to early 80s....when you grow up on them..its ingrained : (2) a Twinkie can live forever...leave one on a counter for years..it will not go bad...which is scary...Where did you order the food from?? Garlic powder is better than garlic salt, you can use more of it without making the food too salty.
Oh, your chocolate chip cookies made me want to bake! Here is a classic American cookie recipe (the Snickerdoodle). I bet you will love Snickerdoodles, as you enjoyed the cinnamon roll Oreos. 😊

Crunchberry captain crunch are better! and strawberry poptars, or even smores...mmmmm!
Twinkies stopped being available for some years, then they came back but don’t taste as good.
you should try some indian snacks too
I’m American and I’ve never shown interest in eating Captain Crunch; never tasted it.
Hershey's chocolate is horrible! European chocolate is the best! Love pop tarts though. I like whit frosting with strawberry filling. You should try Froot Loops next time. Most American kids' cereal is mostly sugar. I enjoyed watching your video.
Try some Chocolate from the Caribbean and trust mr your opinion will instantly change.
If you need advice about diabetes soon, I can help you out ;-)
I came here for your voice. your voice's no1 fan from India. 😊😍
Red Vines! So bad. They even say they are GMO now. :/ Have a good fruit salad. :)

Don't understand why anyone would want to put processed garbage in their bodies
American treats are overrated. Hershey's chocolate is garbage. Also, KitKat is a British treat.
