Great instructional video, thanks! I just rented my reamer and bushings (and forcing cone reamer) from 4D rentals. Good prices, great communication, and he gives you 7 days to perform your work before sending the stuff back. Renting the tools seems to cost less than 1/4 of buying them.
My gunsmith told me Ruger quality control leaves a lot to be desired on throat diameters & he proved it to me with a micrometer. An increase in accuracy was notable after reaming the chambers to the exact same diameter. It’s sad Ruger doesn’t do this before their revolvers leave the factory. I check all recover chambers now.
I have reamed my cylinders, including .22 revolvers, for about 15yrs. I originally had a machinist/gunsmith ream my early model S&W 45 Colt Mtn Gun. When he handed me the finished cylinder, the chambers were oblong. So, I bought a machinist set of pins and Manson Reamers and started doing my own. I never looked back. You forgot one added advantage. Reduces leading.
Ream the forcing cone and lap the bore as well on rugers as they used to be inconsistent from throat to muzzle. FromLead bullet technologies . Something us fuds have been doing since the 70s.
The throats in my 45 Colt Vaqeuro and my Blackhawk Bisley measured at .443..." I've reamed the throats in my Vaqueuro to .4515" but haven't done my Blackhawk yet.
Yes reaming cylinder to proper size is very important. I have a Ruger new model Blackhawk in 45 long Colt. Shoots poorly. When I slugged the barrel. The bullets fit tight at both ends but freefall in the center. Only tight at front sight area. And where barrel is threaded into frame ! Has anyone else found that out ?
LBT advised lapping the bore on ruger revolvers. If the dimensions are too big in the center of the barrel, lapping the bore makes it uniform. You then cast bullets and use a bullet sizing die that matches your bore dimensions. My answer was smith and wesson. But I wish that they made a single action revolver.

I never understood why Ruger seemed to get the 357 and 44 mag right but can't figure out classics like 45 Colt, 44-40 etc.

All my Vaquero chambers were tight too. My 4 cheaper .45 Colt Uberti clones were all perfect on the other hand.

“ uniforming “ the cylinders will “uniform” the point of impact on paper.
I've got a couple 22 and 22 mag revolvers that are difficult to eject.spent casings. Do you think this would help with that as well?
Yes, I do it all the time. Some of my .22 revolver were both hard to load and eject. Now the casings fall out and the accuracy has improved.
Thanks man. Good to know.@@jimv.661

Most revolver cylinders have 6 chambers, not 6 cylinders.
