Very very interesting. I listen the commentary and it’s amazing because some times a company invent something that it’s like no way to improve it. Sensotronics were never a substitute to this machines they had their own market. So may be market works in a way that demand for this machines keep until recently (Panasonic sold his manufacturing facilities in Americas years ago) but they sold to some other company that sure it’s still producing this machine that created a clone market for machines like this.
Nice first gen Jet Flo, I have the later MC-62xx series, and that was a pretty decent great design that did offer some improvements over the MC-6xx series (particularly moving the airpath to the right side rather than the left, and the brush roll using 4 brush strips rather than the 2 strip with beater bars like this design). Sounds like yours may have a replacement motor in it (possibly Ametek by the sound of it), it seems to sound a little bit different than how these normally sound. It's such a shame that Panasonic no longer makes vacuum in the US market, which is a shame because they really had a significant hallmark in the vacuum industry (though Hoover may have started the concept of clean air vacuums, Panasonic definitely improved the design).
My mom had the exact same model, funny thing is a vac repair guy did an airflow test on that and our then new Fantom Fury, and the Panasonic had more airflow
Konnichiwa sir loved your bakyumu kirina i did thought to speak a little Japanese of how much i love your vacuum cleaner
I love Panasonic vacuums!!!! Very classic!!
Thank you so much for watching!
