Out of here. I’m don’t watching you flop your hands around.
Probably best thing I came across, I rarely comment on youtube, but you deserve much more subscribers and views!
Thank you very much, friend!
Hi Orbit, thanks for the video. FYI: It has been a while ago, since you published it, so maybe, that time this option didn't exist in Siril, but with the current version 1.2.4 it is possible in the RGB composition tool, to select beside/instead of colors also filters e.g. Ha, OIII or other. I made a quick test, and for my eyes it gave me the same result to use Ha + OIII as input channels as when I used R (Ha) + G (OIII) + B (OIII).
Very interesting, and very good explanation. Keep going!
Nice technique! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, hope it was useful
useful trick. Thanks!
This is very interesting ty
Great tip! You mention background extraction, color calibration, and starless as your starting point, however it appears the data is stretched as well. Any other processing before you start?
Just color calibration, starless, and stretching which I forgot to mention.
Nice addition tools in Siril, thanks! I assume this is M1.... What equipment did you use to capture this image? Guessing maybe a C8 and a small sensor. Thanks, Michael
It's actually NGC 6888. And I used a 6 inch newtonian, more specifically the Skywatcher Qattro 150p, and yes I used a small sensor (IMX 585) ZWO ASI 585 camera. Sorry for the late reply.
The naming of the files should be made clearer. All a little incomprehensible but will try to figure it out because it's a useful thing to want to do.
So theoretically this could work with Infrared filters
Great trick! Does adding (B+G)/2 gives the same over all result?
I'm pretty sure it does
Hello. You convert only green+blue in BW?
