I always seem to have a Midori A6 and B6 slim on the go. Lol. Whatever else is happening in my planner world, those two really bring me joy. So now I am using an A6 for all my financial data for the year and the B6 slim is for morning pages. I'll find any excuse to have them in my planner arsenal 😁
I love that you are using what you love and despite whatever is going on you have your A6 and B6. I feel like I always have to continue using a constant in my life, so I understand. Thanks so much for sharing with us. 🤎
Imho commonplacing shouldn’t be in a planner. Yes there are times you might capture some commonplace info in your planner (like a quote you love the inspires you) because it’s what you had with you at the time but just until you move it to your commonplace book. A commonplace book is very different than a planner or a journal. And commonplacing isn’t date specific and not bound by dates - but rather volumes. You could fill a full thick commonplace book in a month or over three years. I’ll be sharing my commonplace system soon - some other videos have to go up first but finally found a system that I think is very good for organizing all the commonplace info.
I was 🤣 at myself because I have a commonplace system in place but I find myself wanting to write “commonplace “ notes everywhere so that is what my A6 is for now. I can’t wait to see how you use your system. I use dot stickers to categorize subjects and topics of interest. I have 2 so far that are chunky but I got carried away in this planner. 🤣
I’m chaotic so I put everything in my planner, but I have a blank notebook as a ‘planner’. 😅 but I can see the appeal for separating the two.
I truly can go either way however for simplicity and archiving purposes I need to keep my planner as a planner.
@@ghostyplans I’ve found that not having a dedicated commonplace means I don’t go back to it and rely on it as it’s intended. The info gets lots and rarely referred to - and in my planner appears to relate to that year when it really doesn’t. But I do capture stuff in my planner because I write all sorts of stuff down but if it’s commonplace it gets moved to there for long term. If that makes sense. I’m hoping when I film I can articulate it all 😝
@@JustScribble I think it's possible to commonplace in a planner, but then you have to be really clear on what you're commonplacing. I don't have time to commonplace stuff I won't ever look up again, so I don't record song lyrics or tip in concert tickets or copy info from articles or books that don't have a direct link to my current life. I do common place in the back pages of my planner but it's mostly recording important info that's directly relevant to my life or that of our family. 🤷🏼♀️ I'm just putting this out there because many people seem to think commonplacing is like scrapbooking, a whole project in itself, and get intimidated. But commonplacing is really just recording info that you think you might want to look up later. My planner is my brain replacement 😆, so it's THE place for this stuff too.
I can't find the stickers. Are they from the Asian amazon?
Thanks for asking where these are from. Here is the link (Not an Affiliate) Maxleaf 12Sheets Vintage Adhesive... www.amazon.com/dp/B0C33QKDP2 Thanks for watching. 🤎
OMG, What in the heck is commonplacing????
It's basically writing information, quotes, research, memories, etc and categorizing them based on topics. I shared a video discussing it here ua-cam.com/video/v45ZtyT20Co/v-deo.htmlsi=S_X7ci3G-yoKX96Y
