The cats were up on the counter where you were preparing the food for your guests!!! After they step on their own poop to go poop!!! Seriously??? Too bad your guests didn't watch this vlog before eating at your place, or I believe they would have made other dinner arrangements. Disgusting!!!
we wipe our counters super frequently because of that reason 🥲 unfortunately the kitties will do what they want and theres only so much we can do to stop them from jumping on our counters 😭 if any cat parents have tips im all ears!!
Anyone who lives with cats totally understands this and can find ways to disinfect and keep their house and cats hygienic. It’s not like the cats stepped on the food and how do you even know they stepped on their poop right before? Such a dumbass rude comment.
That said Esther, there’s really little you can do to prevent them from jumping up on the countertops but perhaps you could try to keep them away or out of the kitchen at least just while you’re preparing food. Jackson Galaxy has shared some tips like using an automatic motion sensor diffuser to gently repel the cat whenever they jump on the counter. Please Never use a spray bottle as this does nothing to train them or make them trust you (cats are not dogs so don’t mind the dog-centric advice that cats need to be trained) Daiso/Japan stores also have this plastic spiky mat for this very purpose (it has worked for me so far; the cats are deterred by it because they see/sense it, no cat is harmed by it) Hope one of these will be helpful for you and your lovely kitties.
Does not matter how many times you clean your counter,it’s nasty to have any animal on the counter when there is food involved.it’s disgusting,no matter cat lover,dog lover,bird lover..etc..
@@chiaradc5637 It's really not a dumbass comment. Any vet will tell you that kitty paws track what's in their litter box all over the house, including kitchen counters. I get some people allow their cats on counters and that's fine, but when having guests over, extra precautions should be taken so no one gets sick.
