I was just sorting thru a batch of marbles and came across one with that bright lipstick red, some blue threads on a gray base. It glows lime green under UV. I think I have a Kokomo.

I live about 20 minutes from Kokomo.. I knew about the stained glass factory, but I didn't know they used to make marbles also.. When I was a kid, my grandad had a five gallon bucket full of marbles that we used as slingshot ammunition.. After watching both of your videos about the Kokomo marbles.. I'm pretty sure my brother and I shot an entire five gallon bucket of Kokomo marbles into a corn field behind my grandparents house..

@stephenbahrmarbles I've been researching the Kokomo marbles more since watching your videos last night.. I'm confident that every marble in that bucket came from the KOG factory.. That robin egg blue color, the yellow color, and the bright red color are seared into my memory from childhood.. I've never seen anything even remotely close to those colors anywhere else.. The property the house was on is still in the family.. We no longer own the field, but I know who does, and I can probably get permission to dig around a little bit.. Do you think the marbles could have survived 30+ years of plowing and discing? It would have been mid 80s thru the early 90s when the majority of them where shot.. I can't believe what some of them are selling for on Ebay.. There had to be thousands of marbles in that bucket..

I think I have a great, unpublished collection of some marbles you might want to look at. After watching this video. I’m a longtime introverted collector of vintage anything’s. Just discovering the marble community on UA-cam as I stopped collecting just as I got started, met Chuck from Chucks Marbles in Pasadena at his shop, then a few flea market finds, and a recent estate auction find… 1k marbles maybe.
Fun for a hardcore collector to peruse!? Know anyone in Southern Michigan/Northern Ohio, who wants to follow a video of content like this?

    • @stephenbahrmarbles

Kokomo wanted to make use of thier extra colorful stained glass scrap glass, so they tried marbles for a few years. Allegedly the marbles didn’t sell well so they stopped producing them.

Can anyone tell me what all marble companies produced the 1" deep dark translucent red (see thru) shooter marbles? They are highly florescent and have really cool patterns that can only be seen under a black light.... They look like a red clearie until that black light comes on, strong lines and patterns.... Glow orange under the black light. The cut lines look like cac or master with the 2 flat seams.

No sir marble buyer, they don’t all have an opalescent glow. That is not a blanket statement that I made, or would make. Yes both Pelt, Koko and many others has opalescent glass. Yes Koko certainly used a lot of it for their base glass . Thank you for watching and asking.
