Brian great video, there are various qualities of CDC going from the Swiss CDC down to the wapsi bulk packs. The puffs are a lower quality feather they are great for midges or even a collar on a nymph. There is also CDC dubbing that makes great bodies on dry flies. You can also sort your cdc and leave your trimmings in a bag to chop up into dubbing. The "carrot" fly your friend showed you is the soft hackle carrot tied by Devin Olsen of Tactical Fly Fisher and member of Team USA. You should do a no rules streamer pattern using CDC as the material.
I ordered a ton of Trout Hunter CDC. I have about 25 grams of CDC now. They accidentally sent my order twice and told me to just keep it. I think I have enough for a lifetime now. I would recommend their CDC though. Get it from their website. I thought it was unavailable until I found their website.

Really enjoy your spotlight videos. I’ve used cdc for years in every way possible. It really is a great natural material.
Nice flies Brian.
Love the pliers.
Perfect timing on info on the CDC. I just got my first few packs. Thanks.
Brian, I don't who you are anymore. 🙂 Love those tweezers.
The 14 year old locked inside my 40 year old body laughed at “shuttlecock” 😂. Awesome video and ties Brian!
😂🤣😅
Now I have to get some orange cdc. Nice tie, and thanks.
I like that carrot nymph! Very cool description of ways to use CDC! Thanks!
Brian thank you again for another great tie, Happy New Year and have a great day!
Good info Brian! Definitely will have to tie up a few of these and give them a try! Thanks!!!
Thanks for the CDC product spotlight - looks like I might need a little to tie up some nymphs for the trout stocking here in Texas during winter time
Another wicked episode!
Ideas....never used that stuff but will give it a try.
Cool!! Was looking for something new to try and tie. Have to give it a try.
Thanks for the information and the video...see ya joe😎
Thanks Brian! I have a ton of cdc in many colors gifted to me. I never had time to play with them but I will now. Love the carrot!

Awesome Video
Another great video thanks for sharing.
New idea for my nymphs
For me, especially lately, out of a pack of Hareline CDC, I get about a third usable feathers.
Those little tiny drys are so frustrating sometimes. You make it look too easy...LOL
Very nice job. CDC staple feather to many tiers.
Great video thank you
Hello Brian! Very interesting video! I may just have to try to make this "Carrot " fly!
@@RollinRollinReelin It is SO good.

Will they catch a walleye here in North Bay, Ontario Canada? They look yummy
Love dry fly fishing. Wish Bass Pro carried CDC.
I need to give the synthetic quills a shot, because the real ones are PITA!
They are SO GOOD! They can taper a lot smaller than what I showed in the video, too.
I could use some veggies in my collection [carrot]...lol
Like that nymph but not much of a dry fly guy either
I love CDC on nymphs.
I have bags of this that I'll never use
Leave it to Loon to figure out how to take more of my money...
Please me I am 8 and I'm a beginner of tying flies
