Thank you for sharing your insecurities about your job! I’m just starting out in public at b4 later this year and my anxiety levels have really increased knowing that I have no experience outside of my past tax internships. I also feel like there’s a bit of a divide with my personality and the other interns I’ve met. I’m not much of a party person and prefer to be low key. I’m trying to remind myself to just be myself and be open to learning

Same! I have decided that this upcoming January will be my LAST month in big 4. Longest three years of my life. One full year of senior experience and I'm peacing out haha. Best of luck to you with your career moves!
Best of luck with your transition. There are so many avenues to venture into within accounting and I feel like public is such a great start and provides good experience but it's not the only path. I'm so grateful that I was able to move into different roles and do not miss tax season at all!😅

So many developers and owners of large-scale software companies were created by MS and/or MBA in Accounting. LLM and JD in Tax Law, CFA, CPA, and perhaps post doctorate in neural networks and AI. These experts created AI and/or enterprise expert system so yes sometimes. They are slightly arrogant.
