- Here is a short clip of our visit to the 'Valle de Guadalupe', Mexico's wine country this year. We toured thru "La Ruta del Vino", about 40 minutes away from downtown Ensenada and 70 miles from the San Diego border.
There are over 100 wineries in Valle de Guadalupe. Our favorite wineries were "Las Nubes" and "El Corcho Rosa/Valley Girl wines', their wines were superb! A must visit when in Baja California. Cool, I never knew Mexico had a wine industry. Normally when you think of Mexican alcoholic beverages you think of Corona or tequila.

@@SeekingParadiseBugs I always pictured Baja (and most of Mexico, for that matter) to be brown and barren. It's actually a pleasant surprise for me to see greenery in a place where I don't expect it. Granted, in a dry climate like Baja, this was probably only possible by diverting water from the Colorado River, which rarely reaches the Gulf of California nowadays.
