i knew who the "killer" was in the first few chapters even with all the "plot twist" it is not difficult to know that the only person that "REALLY" knew what her abilities could do was the killer. that is why they shared a "link" .... for those idiots that are complaining that Mary is written badly have not actually read what the person has / is living thru... she was stabbed many times at 6 yo, and she has to live with "visions" of people getting killed... how is she being written "badly"... she would be very very unsecured and on the verge of insanity

After `Phantoms´, this is on my formerly beloved list of genres done well by Dean Koontz, yet that woman is one part a so called psychic, but twenty parts an effing self-pitying loony in denial. Well, those Seventies were like another life in a much less wrecked environment anyway. Thanks for failing us all, Hippies!

I totally agree. She is so whiney and kind of dumb, too.

Very good / Excellent story but she needs work. One more "I don't know"...... No offence she is a bit over the top, or her "voice" is. But love the story.

Good story, but Mary's voice is just too annoying. Mousy comes to mind. Can't finish. Too bad.
