This was a game changer for my growing ducklings. They are 5 weeks and getting big and messy. Their brooder box was soaking wet after 10 minutes of fresh water (we were using the same red and white waterer). This box with holes allows them to get their whole head wet without spilling water everywhere. I'm so glad I found this video! Thanks!

This looks so simple! They look like they love it!
They do enjoy it and it stays much cleaner. Much better than the prior waterer that was not deep enough for them to dip there nares in the water.
What size tote did you use?
How would you heat that in the winter
very good project
Thanks!
Thanks!
My almost adult ducks are able to make the water super messy and dirty in one day I am amazed how messy they can be even with small holes like these 😂
Would have never thought of that
Gotta give all the credit to homestead on the Hill channel!
They have to be able to get there eyes as well.
What kind and size of tote is this???
I bought it at Walmart or similar. I recommend one that is a little deeper. That one was 6” tall(about)
Dont they need to swim also? Or are these just babies?
They have a pool, check that video out. They live on the 1 acre pond now
Why you make 4 openings if they culdnot use 🙏🤫move against the face it’s going be okay 👍 thanks
They use all four holes. They crowd around and each use one. I would have cut 6 holes but the design of the lid did not really allow that.
ducks are a pain!
