Home Fire Safety with Laura Hodgson

Join Laura for a session on Home Fire Safety.
Laura will highlight some of the reasons why the Fire Service are called to accidental home fires and explain steps that can be taken to reduce the risk in our homes. Sharing details of how every Fire & Rescue Service offer a free online Home Fire Safety Check which will provide you with a personalised fire safety action plan to keep you and your household safe from fire. You might even qualify for a visit from your local Fire Service!
Laura has worked for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service for seven years within their Prevention Team, initially as a Community Safety Officer in the rural Yorkshire Dales before moving to her current role as Partnerships Manager. They work closely with partners including the NHS, Councils and voluntary sector organisations to reduce fires, deaths and accidents resulting from fire and to promote road safety and water safety messages too which enables them to identify those who are most vulnerable within our communities.
