With 4 kids, Sundays were always very stressful for me for years. I learned that laying out the children's clothes and shoes the night before was very helpful. There is 10 years between my oldest and youngest so my oldest son was a huge help with the littles. I tried to make a crockpot meal that would be ready for dinner. Breakfast was oatmeal or cereal. I took "me" time at night after everyone went to bed. Reading or watching a show I liked. I also took that time to do anything I needed to do to prepare the kids for school the next day and finish any dishes or laundry that didn't get done during the day. Over the years I came to realize that a messy ( Not dirty) home will still be there in the morning so I tried not to stress too much about a few toys still out or pillows on the floor. Figuring out what battels really need fighting is a struggle most mothers of multiple kids have. We feel like it reflects a defect in ourselves to have a mess but in reality it is not us it is normal family life with littles. Have a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🥧🍂
Sundays are the busiest day of the week for those who have families and are serving in various ministries of our churches. Teaching a class, singing in the choir, potluck meals, keeping the nursery, and caring for your own young children. A Sunday afternoon time to recharge before the evening service was always a must!
Andrea, You have set a beautiful example for all of us to take stress out of our busy lives by setting aside a day of grateful worship, simple meals, and sweet rest💖 The Lord happily restores our souls !
Thank you for sharing I love all your videos especially videos like this moms need time to rest and recharge please keep doing more of these videos they are so inspiring ❤
Beeswax wraps are so great! I stopped using plastic wrap, plastic bags, and and ziplocks a few years ago to reduce the plastic in our lives and for the planet as well. Also, thank you for sharing that you take time for yourself. You are inspiring me to give myself permission to do so.
Those wonderful, simple things in life are just as important. Walking home with your family, taking time to care for yourself, and of course, those delightful little things that bring you joy. What is it about lovely items for our home, plus the simplicity of pretty oven mitts that make us satisfied and grounded? Whatever it may be, it is a blessing.
Angela, what a beautiful video. Your boys are all so precious....they are being brought up to know the Lord, what a blessing. I loved seeing your routines for Sunday. Your home is so quaint and cozy. Wow your hydrangeas are beautiful. I live in New England and somehow the hydrangeas in my area are not producing many flowers. Thank you for the video. Many blessings .
Sundays are busy for my family too with church. I always love a Sunday afternoon nap. Your hydrangeas in the front of your house are beautiful they have so many flowers on them! Do you do anything special to them to make them have so many blooms? I always look forward to your videos!
I like the idea of tidying for the week on Sunday afternoon. Setting out clothes the night before is always a must for us! And if I've made a breakfast casserole ahead of time, that's even better! Do you make sourdough? If so, can you make a video on that? Love your videos!
My father is a pastor (42 years.) I'm 46 and he started the church when I was 4. He pastored 2 churches, so as a child I was in church twice on Sundays, also on Wednesday nights and Friday nights. And then there were Bible Studies on other nights that I was brought to. When we raised our children (now 19,16, and 11) we brought them to church Sundays and Wednesdays too. It's just part of who we are. Infants, babies, and young school ages were a sacrifice on Wednesday nights ... sometimes I honestly was so tired (I'm a working mom so that was difficult too,) that I wished my father wasn't a pastor and I could just not be there when I didn't feel like it. But being in the ministry, I really didn't have that option. My family was always the rule, not the exception. =) I currently still serve in our church and sometimes I wish I could lay down the mantle, but my father is 68 and has not yet, nor my mother who is 66 ... so on I go ... But I will say, my children grew up to be the best versions of what I could have ever hoped for them ... this solid raising was not in vain. =) Your Sunday traditions are lovely ...
Awww... this was so fun to see ! Makes me want to grab my favorite girls and go do the same. What a great group of gals ! I loved the anticipation of waiting to see what you would show next 😂 you are too funny ! Cracked me up ! Oh, and Michigan ❤😍 what a beautiful spot to meet. I have vacationed there many many times . So refreshing to watch. Proverbs 27:9
This brought back memories of my own time raising 7 children, and taking them to church every Saturday. My kids are grown now and I miss those days with them so much. It was truly the best time of my life. Not perfect by any means, but still my favorite time.
My mother and father adopted my siblings and i from all walks of life. We had many wonderful traditions before and adter church. So grateful for all their efforts and genius ideas. Church and wonderful Sunday breakfast and Sunday dinners were fabulous. Yardwork was fun, gardening was special......it was such a diffident world back then ❤ I have six siblings and we are all successful today because of my parents ❤
Every comment I read was so nice and complimentary. And it was a very sweet video, your toddler is beautiful, and the older boys are handsome. Your day seemed both restful and productive. Inspiring! So why do I concentrate on your washing your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and overloading it? I am going to try to take a good look at myself.
How inspiring to see this video! This is the firts time ever that I realise that there is fellowship, brothers and sisters, motivating and supporting each other on a platform like UA-cam(I'm pretty old school sometimes or a little bit behind). May your video's inspire and motivate those, like me, who sometimes feels overwhelmed or alone. God gave us a job as daughters, women, wives and mothers..and He equips us for every good work❤ may we give Him praise in everything that we do, even in our daily lives
.I remember Sundays being so busy for us as well when our children were young. It seemed we were always in a rush trying to get our 3 children fed, dressed and out the door for church. My husband didn’t go into the ministry until our daughter was in middle school and our 2 boys were in 4th and 5th grade. We attended church on Sunday mornings when they were younger as well, my husband and I both taught Sunday school classes at the time before going into full time ministry. So when we came home after church and ate dinner. We established a routine of nap time for all before heading back for evening service. The busyness of those days are behind us now. We enjoy when our children and Grandchildren come over for Sunday Dinner. Life changes so fast. Continue to cherish these special days. Before you know it, you’ll be reliving those precious memories in your heart and mind. Hold them close to your heart. Praying for you and your sweet family. Your friend, Debbie …..also a Michigan girl! Blessings
Happy Birthday! Thank you for allowing us into your beautiful home. I love watching your videos and can appreciate the work that goes into keeping it so lovely and clean. Your husband and boys will remember this as they grow older. Cudos to you for maintaining your faith and traditional values! ❤
Less decorative pillows especially for young boys to mean would be less cleanup. Not judging just a suggestion. Your family and home is beautiful. Love you are serving the Lord🙏🏻♥️
What a beautiful day. ☺️ We never had any children, so I’m sure our Sunday’s are much more simple. Up, make the bed, get dressed, Sunday School, church, lunch, nap, back to choir practice and the evening service. Rest is as crucial as the lessons and sermons. We love Sundays! Recharges our body and soul.
This is my first time watching your video I really enjoyed it even though I am a lot holder that you (60….but don’t tell anyone 😊) You have a very calming voice I will be watching more You are doing a great job, but don’t wear yourself out A little everyday, goes a long way Teach your boys to help you They looked old enough and i5 will teach them to be good husbands and fathers Beautiful family Blessings to you 🌺
You remind me of my mom so much... She was born in Michigan and raised us 3 kids there until I was 6, then we moved to Florida. She lives there again now and is currently up at her UP cabin in Manistique enjoying the peace and beauty. She is the best mother. For a long time she seemed to never age past 35 to me. I love these videos, thank you for sharing with all of us. I feel more calm and grounded after watching. 🤗
Happy Belated Birthday! Sweet Andrea. After church, is spent enjoying the simple things in life. After the last year, I take down time as much as I can. The last year has be a test of faith and endurance for sure. My husband of 57 years has been my first priority, he had brain surgery last May and this July, major aneurysm surgery. It’s been 5 weeks now and he is coming along but slowly. I never complain, just so blessed I can take care of him but at the end day I am very tired. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. My saying, I am all things with God, nothing without him. 💕
Hi Andrea. I love the video. Sundays are definitely a day for Church and rest for me and my Husband in the Season of life we are in. Thank you for sharing your day with us ❤️
What a beautiful soul you are, Andrea! I hope you know how much you bless so many of your viewers! God bless you and your precious family a hundred times over❣️🙏🏼 Linda Ohh, and belated Happy Birthday! 🎉❤
I only had three children and didn't juggle it as well as you do with your four. Getting everyone dressed and off to church, was a hectic time. I have to admit that there were Sundays, not many, when I was so tired from a busy week, that we skipped church. I made it a point to only entertain on Saturdays and not put a "dinner for company" on the agenda on Sundays. The commandment, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work:" Is not always possible to keep.
I spent countless hours rinsing my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher until my sister told me that all dishwashers automatically pre rinse before the wash cycle so you don't have to. Give it a try. I took me 3 months to break the habit of pre rinsing but once I did I saved so much on my water bill and time;)
Back when my children were small they wore the white high top shoes. And later a Mary Jane style of shoe for our daughter. So one of the things was to polish the shoes and pick out an outfit for church Saturday night. It does help for Sunday mornings. I always thought when we were having a rough Sunday morning getting around that the evil one was doing his best to hinder us. Have enjoyed your latest videos alot. Blessings to you and your little family.
Your opener had me in tears... thank you sister, so encouraging. We are raising 5 children 6 and under and hoping for more babies down the road even though most days I'm overwhelmed by the 5 we have. But God is bigger, and He's ready to fill my cup the moment I ask. Motherhood is such sanctifying work that I am so thankful for.
You have a beautiful family and home. Cherish these sweet times with your family on Sundays. I sure do miss spending time with my children on Sundays. God bless you and your family
Thank you for sharing! Our children are adults but we still try to keep Sundays as a day of rest and refueling for the week. We also have morning and evening services. A slower day and family time is so important!
Nice of you to share your Sunday routine. I know it’s not easy. Like you said if you focus inward it could be hard but when you focus upward it’s easier. I would tell my family “if you’re not going to help me clean, help me maintain “. Most of the time they would put things back where they got it from. ❤
I work in retail so I usually am at work. But I always listen to David Jeremiah's on TV! He warms my heart and gives me so much hope!! By the way, I love your dress and I hope you had a blessed Birthday!!
Andrea, I loved this… and you looked especially beautiful in this one, that dress was perfection. I love the color brown. Thx for filming this , it’s nice to know how others spend their time, especially on Sundays. So fun to see!! 🏡 Watching from Michigan…Kim
Happy Birthday, sweet Andrea. Our Sundays are primarily church. We all serve and my hubby on the worship team, so we're there early morning until after lunch. We indulge in an afternoon nap and have a late lunch/early dinner. Then it's getting prepped for Monday and the week ahead. On those rare Sundays hubby is not playing, we stay home in our PJs and have a big breakfast. Eventually we get something checked off the to do list. God rested on Sundays and He wants us to join him. 😊❤
I'm oly a few minutes into this video and I am already LOVING it! There can be a so much beauty and satisfaction in keeping a home and caring for one's family. It's a sobering reminder for each of us to be grateful we HAVE a HOME to keep at all. Thank you Andrea for this beautiful video with a real sneak peach into your daily life.
My husband is a minister at our church. About a year ago, I started making pancakes or french toast in big batches on Saturday mornings and saving the leftovers for Sunday breakfast. I just pop them in the toaster and breakfast is done. ❤️
What a peaceful video and so real. You are in a very busy season of life with your little ones and I must say handling it better than I did. I am a grandma now ( time goes too fast) . Things do get out of balance when focused only on daily circumstances and not having an eternal perspective. I was inspired by your video.🥰
What do you mean…your life IS PERFECT!!! You’re on top of everything with your boys and you and your hubby are the perfect team🎉!!! You’re putting God first and then everything else falls into place. Love you! ❤🍁🌻And let me just say that your dress is amazing on you!!! ❤ Walking home and taking in Gods glory is a beautiful gift!!! ❤ You bring me great joy! ❤
I just love your newer content! You really have a knack for relaxing people… and even through the chaos of life I think you and your family make it look so beautiful. I also think HGTV should hire you ☺️
We took our sons to church from an early age. We both worked so it was a commitment of time and preparation. But so worth it! They are good men and wonderful dads to our 7 grandchildren. Sunday naps are the best!
I loved this voice over video with soft music and beautiful pictures. Sundays at our house is a day of rest and relaxation, going to church in the morning, simple lunch and supper and maybe visiting with family or friends.
Can’t believe Isaiah will be two in a couple of days! I’d like to think that ice cream scoop is my old one that made its way to you. I paid a small fortune for one many years ago at an antiques show. I loved the look of it and did try using it, but it was hard to actually scoop ice cream with and I could never figure out a good way to display it, so as my collections grew and my amount of room for display and storage shrunk I finally parted with it.
You’re such a good mom. I have two grand children, a girl, and a boy. I’ve had each of them three days and of course at different times. We bake together and do movies and events and shopping with a 12-year-old granddaughter priceless moments for me and my husband. I love watching your channel you inspire me so much.
Oh Andrea, this is such a beautiful and peaceful video ❤ Thank you so so much for encouraging us fellow homemakers! It truly means so so much 💕 Sending you blessings and love
What a beautiful message Andrea, the real life of a woman, wife, mother and daughter of God. Really it's a chaos but it's wonderful and blessed. God bless you and your beautiful family always. Thanks for sharing this. Much love 💕 🥰🌹
Lovely calm video. God does tell us to rest on Sunday's so good for you to allow yourself time to refuel and rest. I am retired but my husband still works 6 days a week at our retail store here in the middle of Nebraska. Prior to C-19 he was open for business on Sundays. Although he didn't usually work on Sundays he took a lot of phone calls from his employees with questions, concerns etc. So he didn't always get that mental break that was needed. During C-19 he made the decision to remain closed on Sundays and it was the best decision ever. He needs that day to unwind and be away from the store. We enjoy the day together without any interruptions. We don't plan anything special on Sunday so we don't have any commitments. We generally attend mass on Saturday evenings. Thank you for sharing your lovely Sunday with us!!
Sundays are rest days but so busy for moms ...I tries to make it a special day by making a few special foods the day before so its prepared ahead...also think of something special like dad reading a book aloud to the whole family or going outside and having a campfire to toast s'mores on...or taking a hike or games or singing in nursing home or having a family over
With 4 kids, Sundays were always very stressful for me for years. I learned that laying out the children's clothes and shoes the night before was very helpful. Angela, what a beautiful video. Your boys are all so precious....they are being brought up to know the Lord, what a blessing. I loved seeing your routines for Sunday. Your home is so quaint and cozy. Wow your hydrangeas are beautiful.

I like the idea of tidying for the week on Sunday afternoon. Setting out clothes the night before is always a must for us! And if I've made a breakfast casserole ahead of time, that's even better! Do you make sourdough? If so, can you make a video on that? Love your videos!
Enjoyed
How lovely! Happy birthday! Love the birthday shopping finds!

On those rare Sundays hubby is not playing, we stay home in our PJs and have a big breakfast. Eventually we get something checked off the to do list. God rested on Sundays and He wants us to join him. 😊❤
You have your hands full. Taking time for yourself is perfect and well deserved. Enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing your Sunday with us.
Thank you so much for your sweet words!
It is so good that you are taking the time to rest and refresh. Moms need that time and don't always give it to themselves. A very nice video
OH how wonderful! I am only 2.12 minutes into your video and I love your new way of sharing your day with us. God Bless you all.
Thank you so much, I am so happy you enjoyed it! ❤
Sundays were always a quiet day when I was growing up Mornings were busy with Church.
Give yourself grace you are doing a wonderful job.
My husband is a minister at our church. About a year ago, I started making pancakes or french toast in big batches on Saturday mornings and saving the leftovers for Sunday breakfast. I just pop them in the toaster and breakfast is done. ❤️
Enjoyable video, I didn't realize your husband was a preacher (haha) I missed that somehow along the way
What a peaceful video and so real.
You are way too incredibly kind - I promise you so far from perfect, it's all God's grace, He is so so good ❤❤
@@PineandProspectHome Oh yes honey you are the epitome of a class act. And God is good all the time!
Aww, that would be so special if it was! ❤
You’re such a good mom. I have two grand children, a girl, and a boy. I’ve had each of them three days and of course at different times. We bake together and do movies and events and shopping with a 12-year-old granddaughter priceless moments for me and my husband. I love watching your channel you inspire me so much.
I love the sheet pan meals you and Lisa Bass show on your channels. Great way to feed kids who usually eat smaller portions.
Oh Andrea, this is such a beautiful and peaceful video ❤ Thank you so so much for encouraging us fellow homemakers! It truly means so so much 💕 Sending you blessings and love
We also have the yellow design dishes and I think that's really sweet. They were handed down to us
Aw! That is so special! ❤
I am so happy to read you both can enjoy your Sundays together now, they truly are so special ❤
Oh my goodness three little toe headed angels! So cute!
Happy belated Birthday! Enjoyed your Sunday afternoon. So relaxing.
Aw, thank you so much and I am so happy you enjoyed!
Sundays are rest days but so busy for moms ...I tries to make it a special day by making a few special foods the day before so its prepared ahead...also think of something special like dad reading a book aloud to the whole family or going outside and having a campfire to toast s'mores on...or taking a hike or games or singing in nursing home or having a family over
Happy belated birthday. Beautiful finds. Love the pie plate.
Aw, thank you so much ❤
