Only the western edge of the Sky Island region is in the Sonoran Desert. The majority of the sky Island region is actually in the Chihuahuan Desert or at least more Chihuahuan Desert like semi desert grass lands depending on what climate map your looking at.

Yes but it's more extraordinary in Southern Arizona. Where it goes from hot desert to dry forest

Thanks, appealing video and good info. Watching this in 2022 with poignancy and alarm over the great reduction in rain.

The Mountains actually inhibit most of the rain from reaching here, especially the mountains in Northern Mexico, if it werent for the mountains, Southern Arizona would likely still be marshlands.

Always got to sneak in at least a tiny little bit of left wing propaganda into everything you do, don't you? Great video otherwise.

its a hard left wing scientific theory, that most of the right doesnt support holmes..

@@tysonadams6744 you misunderstand the word "theory" -- that means there's a s* ton of evidence supporting the fact. It's not up to politics -- it's hard science that nearly 100% of climate scientists understand, agree on and continue to build on in greater and greater levels of depth and understanding.

I was thinking the same thing as I watched the video. There is another video about the Edwards plateau/Texas Hill country video on UA-cam I watched not to long ago that was just as bad or worse.
