So, Aviation mechanic here. With that little bit that you were using the helicopter blades, that's an interesting tidbit of information. There's a sweet spot in your angle of attack, (The angle between the direction your relative air is moving and the airfoil [the blade]) around... 2-3 degrees where you'll produce the most thrust, though since those lego parts aren't the best aerodynamics-wise, you might have to seek it out.
Remember kids, steeper angles won't always make more push, the thinner you slice the air, the more efficient you get.

I feel a lot of people don’t get this, an example for how important the angle is is, look at the blue knobs in a baron-58, they are for angling the blades, if the knobs are there they are important, these LEGO helicopters aren’t getting more lift because they should start with no angle and then the angle should rise with speed but go to normal angle when at max speed

Love this, my father paid the price of my experimental 10 year old self. One afternoon after building and making several attempts to get a lego helicopter off the ground, I had decided i just needed more rpms from the motor. First doubling my voltage and the tripling it. The prop exploded when I used a motor from a dremel tool... just as I was getting excited and said dad look... the helicopter was unstable but coming off the ground...... a huge piece of the prop flew hitting my father just above the eye, blood and cussing abound. The prop hit him with the sound notably similar to the sound a golfball might make..... the flying ninja sword of terror was not done.. as it flew across the room hitting my mother.... her response was heyyyyyy what was that.... she was engrossed in a TV show and unaware my father needed stitches. My dad half crying, half laughing, and bleeding so badly says son that needs work!!!! 2" scar above his left eye and a story he talked about often. I am now 35 and my father is gone, the torch has been passed to my 5 year old..... with more safety guidance.

I'm sure if you used some lubricant you could get the gears spinning even faster. Lego gears have a lot of friction and overheat very quickly at high RPMs. I learned first hand while making a propelled, controllable blimp for a NXT programming class back in high school.

Sure but he still has a horrible power to weight ratio. Its still a brushed dc motor and a low power one too. If it were a 775 things would be different. I wonder if anyone has ever made a high power lego motor with a 3D printer. It doesnt look too hard to adapt.

It woudl still be lego, the mechanisms would be the same and would be completely compatible, the only difference is that the motor module would be DIY instead of by lego. If Lego were to release a high power motor tomorrow it would be the same, only diference being that it was made by lego.
So by your logic you cant make a functional lego helicopter only because legoo says so (because they havent made a more powerful motor)
If you were to make the UP house in legos and attach some helium baloons to it so it could float, it would still be the lego version of it, it doesnt matter the baloons werent made by lego, same goes for the motor imo.
