Thanks for the video. I made it to Chin state Nov 2016 in the hope of going to Falam but a chest infection and a fall put an end to my plans. Chin state was great even in bad shape I managed to get to Mt Victoria. Burma is great!

I'm from Mizoram, a state in Northeast India. Many of our fellow Mizo speaking brothers and sisters reside in the Chin state of Myanmar. Even if you cross International borders beyond the Tiau river, you would still feel as if you are in the Lushai Hills. Respect to our Mizo brethren of the Chin Hills of Myanmar. God willing, one day we will reunite.

Beautiful video. I born in Myanmar at PAGO district in 1952. I never seen hill stations in Myanmar. Came to India in 1968, studied, worked in Indian central govt. Job and retired now. Myanmar is very beautiful country. That govt. should develop tourism and earn. With that wealthy nature it should be one of the developed country. Bad luck. When we were there in 2013 I looked in vain for traditional music CD's and for original art. Perhaps it will come later. The traditional dances were there--there are groups keeping them alive. We saw them in Hakha at the Baptist headquarters and we thank them for that. At one time the traditional music was grounds for excommunication but thank goodness, they are valued now. Chin State is a very beautiful and peaceful place. & the people too. The towns are currently under attack by the brutal military. It is so sad to see that many houses and churches are burnt down. Thousands of people are forced to flee their homes. It is winter now and the weather is cold there. They are living in the jungle without the shelter. There is no enough daily food supplies. I can't believe to see what is happening to the innocent people. They need help from the international bodies. Please come & help them.

After the British colonized us We were divided into 3 countries India,Myanmar and Bangladesh. In Myanmar we are called Chin and in India we are called Kuki-Mizo.

Wow! Just found this after returning yesterday from Kanpanlet to Mindat. I was told I was the first foreigner they've seen in almost a year! Sadly, the views were oscured by smoke from burning season which ironically, resembled the current mood of the wonderful people in this amazing country. Love the narration. Still trying to work out the accent, although there seems to be a Welsh tinge!
