You didn't get it completely wrong. It's a traditional music genre in Morocco that Saad took and gave it a modern touch, the clothes are also traditional Moroccan clothing with a futuristic style. He merged the past and the future in this music video. He also sang a part in Tamazight which is the language of indigenous north African people (with many varieties of course). The part I love the most about this song is when he paid tribute to his mother ❤❤ It's a wholesome culturally rich song, which is why I love it.
