I'm doing the same thing! My kitchen was decorated in a Tuscan style. Now I'm going back to the primitive country style. I'm so glad I saved all my antiques and country decor. That is where my love is. You found some great treasures! TFS

The cupcake pan looks like the one. My mom gave me, the bottom of the cups have that lined design for lack of a better description on it as well, but hers is the 12. One time when I was making cupcakes for my grandson for something and I borrowed hers and she said I never use it go ahead and keep it. So if my memory is correct, it was one of their wedding presents and so it’s over 70 years old.
Hi Anne 🙋♀️the pieces that are passed down to us from our moms are priceless aren’t they❤️ it’s wonderful to know that it was her wedding gift. There have been a few times when my mom has gave me something that she had for a long time but she saw it as nothing important….. but when she gave it to me it was like she gave me the best gift ever. I’m so thankful for all of the things that my mom has handed down to me over the years. My mom giving me something that was hers means more to me then anything she could ever buy for me. Even the sister that lives in Texas, and one brother that lives in Washington she gives them little things as well. And I know we all love it. Now that she’s gone, it’s even more special to us. You brought back memories of how everybody was decorating in the cutsey country look in the 1980's !! Going to craft shows with friends . It was so much fun . If you want to see more antiques and primitive decorating there are a few UA-cam channels bringing great home tours !
Hi Ann🙋♀️oh those were the good old days ❤️ I was young in the 80s and I can still remember my mom and sister loving the craft shows. I don’t know if you are familiar with the Goose berry patch books?? They were very popular back then. I remember loving to look through the craft ideas back then. My mom gave me all of there cookbooks that she had and I still enjoy looking through the craft ideas. I’m so happy I decided to go back to my roots and decorate this way again, this is home❤️thanks for the info, hope you have a wonderful week ❤️🌻🐑
@@melaniethompson6353 I have some Goose Berry Patch cook books ! They are very collectable . The older I got the earlier I wanted my antiques to be so I'm more into 1800's antiques and treen , crocks old lighting pieces . old leather bound books antique baskets etc. Keep you eye out for some earlier things to add to your look.
Absolutely, I love digging at country malls and antique shops. Some of the items you’ve mentioned are definitely on my wish list. My uncle was really into antiques and I had a cousin who had a antique shop for many years, sadly they both passed away before I developed a love and interest for old pieces.

I just found your channel and I am thrilled with your new content! I have always loved country decorating in the more traditional style, but in the last few years I have shifted to a more primitive country farmhouse style! We live in a hundred years old home and it definitely lends itself to this style! I am excited to find more trends seeming to go back to the more primitive styles of decorating! I love watching you tube decorating channels, but have been disappointed to not find as many primitive country styles. Now it seems there is more of that making a come back and it is so fun to watch and get more inspiration! I am looking forward to more content you will have in the future! Hi Donalyn🙋♀️welcome to my channel, I’m so happy you found me. I’m so thrilled to be decorating in prim country again. I loved decorating in Tuscan but country and prim just feel like home to me. Growing up that’s what my mom and sister decorated in so I guess it came naturally that I would follow in there footsteps. I do the mass majority of my décor shopping at country malls and thrift shops. I like to think of the story that all of my pieces I buy have to tell. I was very lucky that there was a cabinet available at the country mall I love so much. There is a waiting list with two people ahead of me for a larger area. But I’m thankful that I was at least able to get the cabinet. I hope you are able to get a spot soon, it sounds like we have a lot in common and I look forward to getting to chat with you. Hi Melanie, I am new to your channel. I am a mixture of some styles, I love antiques and replicas. I like rustic and farmhouse. But recently I am wanting to add some primitive as well. When I look at video's of just one style it looks nice but not me, I like to find a way to combine these and still look like a style (if that makes sense!) I liked how you used the scoop light in the birdcage. Something unique.

Oh my what great treasures you’ve found!! I love how you’ve decorated your foyer, the rug beater is such a wonderful primitive piece and I really like how you added a natural touch with the dried flowers (I can’t remove what they are exactly lol) I can’t wait to see what treasures you find next! ❤
Thanks so much Joann! I really like my rug beater, I’m so thankful for modern inventions and seeing things like this really makes me have a greater appreciation for my vacuum🤗 the dried flowers were from my astilbe plant. Blessings ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Melanie! I love that little light and your dry sink turned out perfect! I love quilts too! My husband is not a fan of quilts, but I still use them :) I have all of my Granny's quilts and a couple Christmas ones that my dad bought me! Loved your video and I am looking forward to your next one!!!
Hi T🙋♀️ Thank you dear friend. I think we have so much in common. I also have a very old quilt that belonged to my grandma. It’s very old. She used it when my mom was a little girl and my mom is 84 years old. I will be sharing it in a future video. I love that you also have a sentimental attachment to precious treasures. You are so fortunate to have your granny’s quilts. They are a family heirloom to pass on to the next generation. I bet the Christmas ones are beautiful. I’m not sure if my husband really likes them either 😂Lol. Have a great week 😘Xx
