All of these stats are from '06-'08 so I don't wanna hear "Romo sat on the bench for 2 yrs..." Ik that. That's what makes my argument even stronger its sad actually.
Accurate ball placement % 2018--step/closing targets-min 50 targets T-1. D. Brees 71.2% T-1. R. Tannehill 71.2% 3. D. Carr 67.5% 4. T. Brady 67.4% 5. D. Prescott 66.4% “step/closing” is best described as a receiver having up to two steps of separation, either running away from a defender (step) or with a defender closing on a play (closing). Since “step” and “closing” are similar in terms of the level of separation, they have been placed in the same bucket. Rounding out the top five is Dallas’ fourth-year quarterback Dak Prescott. The former Mississippi State Bulldog completed 96-of-129 step/closing attempts for 943 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions last year, while 66.4% of his throws earned the accurate mark in our system.
Romo individually wasn't average with sub par support. In fact, he's the reason sub par teams he was on ended up having real chances to make the playoffs every year. Dak absolutely has a low Alex Smith ceiling.
Thanks for standing up Dak because Jerry Jones could have helped the man out by giving him replacement weapons to win. 13-3 as a rookie was no accident.
Dak wasn't a 4th rd pick by accident. When ppl were calling Goff a bust and Dak a star I told everyone to watch it play out. He's more of a game manager
@@DaGreat52 Rams would be better than Cowboys, but Goff would be playing better than Dak right now. Hes just a better player. Has better anticipation, pocket presence, arm strength, accuracy, etc. This Cowboys receiving core is trash..no denying that. Its not like I hate Dak either. I think he's deserving of being a starter. I just think he should be utilized as a game manager vs being the centerpiece of the offense
@@benjaminpeters6729 That's not true at all. One of Goff's strengths is how accurately he throws the deep ball. He made a throw last wk on a deep out that was arguably the best throw of the year so far. He does have more at his disposal than Dak, but he isn't just a system qb. He's been thriving and justifying being the #1 pick. I would still give a slight edge to Mahomes and Wentz as the best young qbs, but hes in that conversation no doubt. Dak is more middle of the pack.
As a sports fan in St Louis Joe Buck said everything that we feel. We are a town that loves sports as long as we can see the effort being put into it. I have liked Joe Buck for years and this interview just makes me like him more.

Dak doesn't have time because he is blitzed a lot. He can't make on time throws and doesn't trust his own arm. Teams figured that out and Dak doesn't scare them.
You are absolutely correct, I don't expect him to throw a back shoulder pass or a laser in to double coverage any time soon to any of his receivers, he is also not very accurate with the rock, if he doesn't see at least 10 yards of green around a wide receiver, he is not going there...and coaches like it, they call it....ball protection...yea right!!
@@dansimmonds9463 He has been sacked a ton by holding on to the ball too long. Guys get open, but you also have to throw them open and make them better.

His 2nd playoff game...18/36 for 201 a td and a pick(64.7) aint gone cut it, the running game was there with Barber goin 27/129, he did have a fumble, but Romo recovered it, Romo threw a late int sealing the fate of the game. He aint Dagoata Prescott🐐
@@txbaca4861 Romo Tds thru his 1st 3yrs: 19+38+26=83😬

am i the only one who gets a little excited when i realize that Joe Buck & Aikman are commentating my favorite football team's game??
You know it’s bad when Joe Buck is the most likable guy in the room.
Colin acting like Aaron's lack of SB appearances are somewhat on him and his coachability. Cmon man. If you watch football you know damn well the majority of his career he has had bad defenses and has always had an overrated coach
I don’t think McCarthy the problem it’s just litterally everything else on the team that’s a problem
Colin downplays Manning n Rodgers because he knows there better than Brady
Tre Roulhac true.. he mentions teammates criticizing rodgers, but never mentions teammates calling out brady and his attitude..
Rohit Var I’m a packers fan. McCartney is outdated. He needs to go
The Packers haven’t spent a premium draft pick on a pass rusher since 2012.
Their front office is garbage.
Rodgers is the only reason they come close to bring contenders and this year he’s doing it on one leg.
Very good conversation.
Pay Dak! 💰
Parity in the league is creating more exciting games than ever.
You’d never think Buck thinks like that of Dak if he never got out of the booth. Gained some respect
“That was disgusting!”
thtasa when i started not liking him... hes alright here
that is a disgusting act by Randy moss
Great interview.
YOU CAN'T GET NO BETTER THAN JOE BUCK, HE'S NOT A HATER HES A ANALYST IT'S A DIFFERENCE
Joe buck...voice is so unique he made me watch baseball.. Even when i am not a fan of MLB.
1st 3 playoff games:
Tom Brady: 61.86 comp%
572 yds 1td 1 int record 3-0.
With these stats his TEAM still got Wins. His 1st playoff game was against a 36yr old Rich Gannon. In his 10 career playoff games he never got a TD. Brady went 32/52 312yds 0 tds 1 rushing td(6 yds).Easy win. In Brady's 2nd playoff game, he didn't even finish. He got taken out with 1:59 left in the 2nd(12/18 115 yds 0tds). Bledsoe came in and scored that same drive. The defense helped them out ALOT with 4 turnovers😱. Stewart went 24-42 for 255 yds, 3 ints(top defense). Easy Work. 3rd playoff game...his defense got another 3 turnovers, the run game mustered 133 yds on the ground. Brady only went 16/27 145 yds, 1 td. The key here is Brady didn't turn the ball over. His stats weren't winning games.
Russell Wilson:63.24 comp%
524 yards 3 tds 0 ints record 3-0
1st playoff game vs. RGIII...Wilson-15/26 187yds 1 td, 67 yds rushing. Seattle had 224 total rushing yds. They had Marshawn Lynch. They had L.O.B. Wilson didn't win in his own
[Game 2] 445 pass/rush 3tds. Wasn't clutch to get the W. Great performance though. L 28-30 vs. Falcons
[Game 3] vs. Brees. W 23-15
9/18 103 yds 0tds😬
Lynch even went off for 140 on 28 carries & 2 tds. Thomas & Chancellor had 25 combined tackles and 4 pass deflections. Bennett rec a fumble. Defense won that game with Wilson only competing 9 passes🚮. If it was Dak smh...
Dak Prescott: 64.1 comp%
794 yards 5tds 2 ints record 1-2
[Game 1] vs. Green Bay
Dak-24/38 302 3 tds, 1 int
Rodg- 28/43 355 2tds, 1int. We all know we gave up a 36 yarder to seal the fate of this 1 but Dak outdueled Arod in his 1st playoff game and his performance was worthy of a W.
[Game 2]
Dak-22/33 226, 1td, 1 rushtd 1 int
Rus-18/27 233, 1td, 1 rushtd
W for Dak
[Game 3]
Dak-20-32 266yds, 1td
Goff-15/28 186yds🚮 0 tds
We all know the Rams rushing attack won the game for them and our defense lost it for us. Dak outplayed the QB in each of his 1st 3 playoff games. Period. He would be 3-0 if it weren't for his defense meaning he could've possibly made it his rookie year. If you still hating after this then u just lame asf
I like Joe Buck's attitude
Wow!! Joe Buck outside of the booth..... dare I say it..... is actually kinda cool!
Joe Buck is one of the best color commentators ever
“Ive got to pretend like I watch this stuff.”
You’re not doing a great job
If Colin couldn’t make it even more clear that he never watches the games
The conversation about Dak starts at about 9:45
Russel Wilson has a bum oline and weak group of WRs because Doug Baldwin has been out he is still playing well.... Romo got chased around for most of his career and he didn't always have good receivers but he was always competitive... Why so many people make excuses for Dak is beyond me....
Romo had a better coach as a rookie in Bill Parcells, he also had 7 pro bowlers on his rookie team including Julius Jones(1,000 yd rusher)...bottom tier?, Terry Glen & T.O.(both 1,000 yd receivers), Jason Witten(24 yrs old, 754 yds pro bowl), 2 pro bowl lineman Flozell Adams & Andre Gurode(even our Oline coach now, Marc Columbo), Chris Canty, Marcus Spears, Bradie James, and D-Ware(pro-bowl) all under 25, Roy Williams(pro bowl). Sounds like a great start for a rookie to me...
His 2nd yr they went 13-3, he had an even better QB coach to teach him the game in Wade Wilson, Marion Barber rushed for 975 off 204 attempts and had 10 TDs!!! Oh & Julius Jones still had 588 and 2 TDs to help out just a lil bit lol😂
T.O(1,355 yds) & J Wit(1,145 yds) made 1st team All pro & the Pro Bowl, both having over 1000 yds, 3 pro bowlers on his Oline(Adams, Gurode, Davis)...Bottom tier😕, his "bottom tier" defense had 19 ints for 331 yards and 2 TDs along with 18 FF with 26 recovered and 46 sacks, D Ware made 1st team All-Pro giving Dallas 3 1st team all pro players around Romo with 11 total making the Pro-Bowl, Tony Romo had 36 Tds that year, but he threw 19 ints.
His 3rd year was 26 tds, 14 ints.... 1000 yd receiver again in T.O.(1,052) and J Wit(952), his rbs put up 1600+ yards, although the defense only had 8ints, they had 17FF with 27 Fumbles recovered & 59 sacks. All of these stats are from '06-'08 so I don't wanna hear "Romo sat on the bench for 2 yrs..." Ik that. That's what makes my argument even stronger its sad actually.
Joe Buck is in love with Aikman, I swear lol
I’ve always enjoyed listening/watching Joe Buck.
Have more joe buck
Thanks Joe for seeing the big picture
More Silicon Valley analogies
Accurate ball placement %
2018--step/closing targets-min 50 targets
T-1. D. Brees 71.2%
T-1. R. Tannehill 71.2%
3. D. Carr 67.5%
4. T. Brady 67.4%
5. D. Prescott 66.4%
“step/closing” is best described as a receiver having up to two steps of separation, either running away from a defender (step) or with a defender closing on a play (closing).
Aikman is lucky there isn't a scoreboard for announcing.
I'm over the Dak hype and excuses. Face it people, he's average at best.
yep, and when they try to make him a pocket passer it only makes this more obvious
Mickey James let the sheep stay on that wagon. I find it funny.
Remember when people put him in the same class as CJ Wentz ?
Correction he SUCKS....
I've been saying he sucks since his rookie year but apparently no one wants to listen
Who is he better then? Maybe the rookies? Maybe ... Bortles and tribisky.
Did Buck forget the Rams were originally from L.A? They were just going home.
They never won a Super Bowl in LA
Colin: “I’ve gotta pretend like I watch this stuff.”
Well that explains a lot sir.
How do you compare A-Rod to KD? Aaron has way more leadership than KD would have in a million years.
Thanks for standing up Dak because Jerry Jones could have helped the man out by giving him replacement weapons to win. 13-3 as a rookie was no accident.
Joe praised St. Louis for having fair weather fans like that’s a good thing 🤦🏻♂️
That was fun. I want more Joe Buck interviews and stories
Dak wasn't a 4th rd pick by accident. When ppl were calling Goff a bust and Dak a star I told everyone to watch it play out. He's more of a game manager
But wat if Dak and Goff switch teams wat u think would happen?
@@DaGreat52 Rams would be better than Cowboys, but Goff would be playing better than Dak right now. Hes just a better player. Has better anticipation, pocket presence, arm strength, accuracy, etc. This Cowboys receiving core is trash..no denying that. Its not like I hate Dak either. I think he's deserving of being a starter. I just think he should be utilized as a game manager vs being the centerpiece of the offense
You should take your own advice and continue watching it play out. Both those QBs have played 2 years in the NFL.
Goff doesnt even do anything special. They take the easy check downs and turn them into long gains.
Joe Buck and Aaron Rodgers? Sounds about right
Joe Buck was 100% correct! Football is a team sport and it takes a lot of good players to win. Quarterbacks get too much credit for wins and losses.
Anybody else catching a little daniel tosh in joe bucks voice at the end there?
It’s crazy how you can tell that every guest that Collin has just shows they dislike him lmao
Joe Buck is a class act.
I’m surprised no baseball talk with Joe Buck...
I enjoy when people from the same profession are able to be candid about what really goes on
I love joe buck he's the best announcer. he makes games way more hype. I loved him in the world series as well
Needs to do some NBA
Joe Buck was terrible for about 15 years, but in the past 3 years he's actually been decent. He's been showing a lot more energy and has been playing down his biases a lot more. When I heard him call the Minneapolis Miracle, I thought to myself: "Who's this guy?"
“A disgusting act by Randy Moss”
Dak doesn't have time because he is blitzed a lot. He can't make on time throws and doesn't trust his own arm.
Teams figured that out and Dak doesn't scare them.
Rob Jarrett Yup
There is truth to this
You are absolutely correct, I don't expect him to throw a back shoulder pass or a laser in to double coverage any time soon to any of his receivers, he is also not very accurate with the rock, if he doesn't see at least 10 yards of green around a wide receiver, he is not going there...and coaches like it, they call it....ball protection...yea right!!
Doesnt help he has no WRs that can seperate in 2-3 seconds he has before hes running for his life...being sacked 6x a game
@@dansimmonds9463 He has been sacked a ton by holding on to the ball too long. Guys get open, but you also have to throw them open and make them better.
Lol what's this man obsession with silicon Valley??
Colin makes the Joe Buck talking easier to listen to.
The Herd is on the mooooooooove
I’m glad they admit they don’t watch every game. The world is a better place for that.
You don't quite understand the post office. The way Amazon and delivery services have changed the post office and the added tech; no a lot of older people have issues in the newer settings.
Joe Buck;
Dak gets all the credit when things are going good.
Dak gets None of the blame when they are struggling.
Wow. I can't believe I'm hearing Joe buck hype up Dak...or the cowboys at all
That time joe buck went OFF on Artie Land on HBO is the funniest moment in TV history
Why doesn't Joe Buck sound like Joe Buck, who is this guy. He should always be using his announcer voice so we recognize him.
Joe Buck is keeping it Brockmire.
That was really good. Like I enjoyed the the whole thing.
I dont know why people hate joe buck...i think hes a great announcer!
The comments at the end explain a lot
Joe Buck and Colin get along now.
Troy is a cool dude. Love hearing his commentary
LOL Colin is such an old cranky man, still holding some college silliness against Baker...change with the times Colin...it's over!
"Hey bud. I got a hot new tech startup for you to check out............Google."
-Colin Cowherd
Joe Buck looks like a Disney Pixar character
Shout out St. Louis
I like how when Joe was talking about Baker. He came out and won that game l. He won that game. collin- well i wanna shift here
Joe Buck living his best life Colin!
They kept it 💯 this entire segment
I really don't understand why Joe gets all this amount of hatred I actually enjoy watch games commentated by him
