Roatan Animal Sanctuary Tour January 2024

This is our stop in Roatan, Honduras while on our Norwegian cruise on the NCL Breakaway. We wanted to go to an animal sanctuary to get to hold a sloth. We didn't like any of the cruise excursion offerings so we looked online and found Victor Bodden Tours. We emailed them and reserved a private tour for 5 people for our own driver for the day. We didn't have to give any money up front. Just pay when you arrive. We found the Bodden tours booth outside of the port where the owner, Victor, matched us up with our driver. It was a short walk from there to get to our air conditioned van. We went straight to the animal sanctuary so we would be able to hold a sloth before they nap. The sanctuary was great. How often do you get a chance to hold a sloth? After the sanctuary we went to a chocolate factory and then a rum factory. We had our private driver for as long as we wanted for the day. He would recommend places for us to see. We had a great time on the tour. I highly recommend checking this place out if you ever make it to the island.

I was there in Jan too. If you go back I highly recommend staying at the Kimpton Grand Roatan Resort in West Bay. Great hotel and on one of the best beaches in the Caribbean.
