I love the idea of option 1. I think you could still do what others are saying by talking with Cleetus about using the Ford F150 awd drive train. It will give you the looks, the power, and the sound the car asks for. But you have to put in a plush comfy interior for cruising with the fam. Name it Undertaker.
One other power option to consider is from down under. The Ford Barra is a 4.0L straight six that has a huge aftermarket support system in Australia. Can be built to the levels you’re taking as well. Haltech has a stand alone for it and it couples to the ZF6hp26 transmissions if you want auto. It would truly make this build stand out. Too many LS and modern V8 swaps, just think it’s time for something different. As for AWD/4WD, the 2007-8 Lincoln Navigator ran that ZF6hp26 coupled to a transfer case in the 4WD versions.
I would second option 4 for the barra. I would then talk to Rob Dahm about his setup using the RB26 trans. I would push for luxury race interior, but use composites instead of tin. Keep the body you have for plugs and molds and build a cheaper car. Upgrading window regulators and such to more modern spec would save weight. Possibly strip a newer junk car for the wiring, using things like EPAS and Electric AC pumps from it as well
Option 2 was going to be my pick. I'd love to see that thing sideways at speed! It would be crazy for sure. But all the hate on option 4 is even crazier lol. Please do option 4! Do what you do best and put that DeBerti touch on that bad girl 🤌
I'd look into contacting Midnight Performance. They do a lot of Ford AWD truck stuff and you could ask them what they're using for a drivetrain. Pretty sure they build transmissions and t-cases to handle pretty close to the hp numbers you're thinking.
I gotta admit. I love the idea of option 1. I would love to see you build something you can drive everyday with a nice comfy interior, yet still be fast as hell and usable. But im for any of the engine choices.
Cleetus can give you transfer case and transmission for AWD, that will easily hold 1500 or more, new f150 stuff with coyote. but dual whipple and dual turbo, will not last.... Duel one or the other will. Suspension, some kind of air ride lift. So it can raise and lower to be used where ever, and ALSO be thrown around with heavy truck offroad suspension components, but for on road. Drive sporty, and feel like a Bentley ... Totally smooth as you throw it around.
Option 1 for sure! Make it something you could participate in an event like PowerTour which would be sick. Wild but still relatable, comfortable, and usable on the street.
cad was founded off of us older builders using our cardboard cutouts and some tape to make our shapes for templates back n the day.. well then if ur 40 yrs or older then i think we should be able to get a free cad setup, u know to bring us up into todays technology and thank us for inspiring someone to invent something better
Boys Put in a Aussie Bara in line 6 engine turbo it Easy 1-2000 hp Use a Aussie made Ford territory awd car use the AWD system and transfer case very easy to find in Australia cheap A mate of mine had done this conversion in a station wagon and the car is absolutely mental If you want to find out more reach out I can send you pics and vids of my mates car
Man I told my fiancee I love watching you and your father planning these build reminds me of my 24 yr old son and I but he passed away in an accident so right now I stop doing what I love fabricating and doing things we did and watching you guys it's starting to get me to get back doing it again since I know that 1 way or another my son is here with me love you guys u guys have a great relationship you guys remind me of us so much the crap talking to each other and laugh and keep going ❤
Option 4 for the win. I understand why lots of folks are interested in the V8, but the 2JZ will put down plenty of power and be lighter to boot. Will be amazing whatever direction you end up going! Not opposed to the idea of it being 2wd either!
YES! I'm new to the channel... this is the first of your uploads that I'm watching. I absolutely LOVE the 60 Lincoln's... with the suicide doors. Salvage to Savage just did a custom Lincoln... and it looked GREAT. I'm so glad to know there is another team out there working on a Lincoln Resto-Mod..,. or whatever you want to call it. It's kind of my dream car... so you definitely got MY attention. I'm going to have to go back now and watch the first 6 episodes of this. Coingrats on your sale... and THANK YOU for sharing this project with us.
Option square root of 36 : Name : Wincoln Conceptional. (W - is for wide body) Use 2 Ford 300 inline 6 motors mounted side by side to one transmission. Then supercharge and twin turbo each motor
Coming from someone who daily drives a 65 with a Gen 4 6.0 and a 6L80, option 2 is ideal. These cars feel great when you can push them like a sports car because they are so big. If you end up going all wheel drive the NP149 holds up.
I’ve always wanted to build one of those with a compound turbo 12v mated to a G56 air ride 4comfy bucket seats full custom interior all suede all black with custom made JTX forged wheels. What I have in my head is so badass and definitely a show cruiser. Can’t wait to see this car completely finished. 👊🏼🤙🏼
Ya'ah'teeh from Navajo Nation!! Father and Son team always have the best ideas ......like, "left&right".......keep those ideas coming and looks like alot of fun!!.......justed subscribed, but I've seen you 2 on tv building some badass rides!!!
I think you need an option 5 where you do an option 4 but do not gut the car since you looked high and low for a car that nice. Do not do a race car but use the new motors and put in the race seats etc since the wide body is already not going to go with the luxery option. Make it a car that you can do the Tacoma drifting and then can take passengers for that type of a ride. Love what you guys do.
Sounds like this would be a great build Brad! I like the idea of the Godzilla motor. How about the Raptor R motor with about 1500-2000lbs removed and keep it fun for the family? I’m cool with whatever you guys do with it as long as you have me come out to detail it up and ceramic coat it for you guys!!
8hp90 setup can handle crazy power, and is currently the most awesome setup with TurboLamik you can even run a clutch to pop for drifting, and the stock 8hp90 can handle 900 torque so if you get a built one you'll have the sweetest combo ever!
Option 1 with this car. The wide body Lincoln concept that’s luxury, but has a lot of performance. Only thing I’d change is make option 1 AWD to be able to plant the power, or unlock the hubs to do burn out like Cleetus has done with the dale truck.
Well what ever you guys do, I'll be happy with it. An as I will surely be supporting U both, I'll do so while holding my recliner down 😁. TKS for sharing 😊.
I lean more to option 2 but with potentials from 3 or 4. - If you go full tube chassis, just get reproduction panes to cover the frame instead of cutting that body up. - You could look into a Texas speed engine that’s built if you feel like staying v8, or potentially a PRP motor that’s the RB26 (or other variant). - Seeing that it’s a Lincoln, you could go the built Coyote motor and drivetrain like Cleetus is running in his F150’s that are AWD In all honesty, just make it cool/fast looking and sounding with inspiration from the C10 and the Toyota. No matter what, I’m in it 100% to see what you do!
I think y’all should build two to be honest. Because I would love to see a widebody Lincoln, but it would also be awesome to see it drifting with the best.
Option 4 definitely. You save a true survivor iconic car. Build the chassis with the engine how you need it to perform. Get a body with all the mods you have in cad from the same place Cletus McFarland got the body for Leroy. Put it all together and you have your light weight Lincoln race car. Without destroying a classic.
Option 1 definitely, the wide body looks amazing, a fresh modernized restomod interior, roll cage to handle the power, RWD and I personally would go for a nice NA V8 with like 800HP, not overkill but definitely powerful enough, manual transmission. And you have an amazing daily. Track car sounds great but you would drive it a lot less, I would choose a different platform for that project or as some suggested make mold of the body, get a carbon body of the mold, build the tube chassis for it and then full on race car. But this car looks to nice and it's to heavy for that
Option 5. Crazy diesel setup . Cheaper more horse power ,nitrous or meth injection and drive train capability . Plus the truck company's can sponsor more of the build
Option 2 and option 4 Build #2 with the Lincoln then build #4 full tube chassis based off the Lincoln body and style , with fiber glass body parts. Then you get 2 cars with one ideal. one for the street and one for racing. And enjoy the ride.
If you did want to go 2jz an rb26 trans will actually bolt to it. I love both of them. I'd love to see either one in it. LS would be cool too, but what hasn't been LS swapped🤷🏼♂️. My motto is I don't think outside the box I light it on fire🔥
You guys are great i own all your vehicles except the mustang on Forza they are badass couldn't imagine driving one in person. Thanks for great vehicles and going for it .
If I were voting... it would be for a "hot wheels" version of the Lincoln kind of like the C10 Slayer. I want to see a car that resembles a Lincoln, but with everything exaggerated and bigger and better. The "CAD" version you had before was a great start.
Okay guys... 2nd comment (sorry) - if you are going to do all wheel drive, you are going to need to lift it... and I think that takes away from the cool cat sleek look of the Lincoln. IF... IF... you do that, you're going to want to bag it so it can get low to the ground and STILL look sleek. I love the idea of like a sleepere luxury that could do all-terrain when necessary.... and I'd love to see some, IDK, hidden spy-type stuff if you can work out... a flipping license plate... a hidden spot or flood light... SOMETHING to make it just a bit more mysterious AND capable. BUT... this is the first video of yours I'm watching... so where do I get off saying anything? I'll be enjoying this whatever you come up with.
I would say option 4 but do a Barra straight 6. That way it's keeping it ford engine and those motors can easily make the power. The next one I would say talk to RTR since they built the Hoonicorn and how to keep it alive. It would be really cool to keep it ford V8 and go AWD!
You guys could do a new coyote and a ten speed trans, there’s parts out there that can support the power and do a transfer case so you could do badass burnouts RWD or 4WD, but a jdm AWD would be awesome! But I say option 1 or 3. Keep it a street rod not a full race car, that car is supposed to have a little luxury.
I think 2wd should be good with a Godzilla v8 with a supercharger with a roll cage but tucked so the 2 people can get in and out off the back wide body or if you do awd I heard gear star is good with 4x4 or ask Cletetus and Cody(whistlindiesel) about there billet transfer case
Call it ‘The Black Betty’ and go with option 3 in my opinion. Full luxury “prerunner” style without the offroad would be badass to see. Full chromoly chassis hidden from the interior and then go all carbon panels for weight loss and then you have bucks for any accident purposes. Maybe you could run the drivetrain out of the Cadillac Blackwing, it’s AWD and a v8 with 10-speed auto trans. The curb weight on that car is about 4,400lbs so close to the Lincoln already. Then you could add turbos or superchargers for extra torque/hp for desired outcome
Have a father/son build off. Option 1 for dad, use that body. Then option 4 for son starting with a different body so your not cutting up an already nice body and can cut as much weight as you want from it.
I like option 1. Call it the CONTIMENTAL!
Damn that’s what I was thinking but I just seen this video. That’s a great name!
Option 1 - Keep that awesome body, but spice it up! By all means do option 4 but with a crazy different car.
Option 1, Option 4 with a different car
Option 1&4. Laser map out car build option one. Use laser to build bodypanels in carbon, plastic and build your racer.
I love the idea of option 1. I think you could still do what others are saying by talking with Cleetus about using the Ford F150 awd drive train. It will give you the looks, the power, and the sound the car asks for. But you have to put in a plush comfy interior for cruising with the fam. Name it Undertaker.
Yes his ford and GM builds are insane.
agreed those 10speeds are taking the abuse like nothing anymore. there monsters 9 second full trucks full interior and everything
What cleets suppose to part out one of his brand new f150s? Why would he do that?
Use the one you have for molds etc. and fix up a bit for pops. Then go for option 4 and make an absolute animal for Brad!
Option 1 can have my heart!
Check out cleetus's f-150 coyote inspired Nascar drag truck. awd monster truck transfer case. sounds doable & it's a Lincoln.. Ford product 🤔
The car is not right for that combo, too much weight. That car weighs 4500lbs to 5000lbs. You can't get it light enough and make it look cool.
I just found out that a 62 yr old boat of a car weights almost the same as a standard cab truck built now. Now that's bad for everyone.
V12 twin superscharger and quad turbo RWD or 4x4 would be awsome to
I’ve been subscribed to your channel for ages, love your work!
Option 5 pull molds off the lincoln continental. Build a carbon body off the molds. Full race 2J awd.
Ok this is a rad idea.
BUILD TWO!
Option 1 & Option 4! 🔥
Option 4, absolutely mental, cool, different
Option 4 with a carbon fiber body. Done!
And the US dollar will go a lot further buying the barra and aftermarket from Aust.
@@taylormkct shipping on the otherside haha
and how much torque you put out of this engine, thats a heavy car !
This is truly the best option!
The way you explain things is unmatched!
Option 4. But use the ford barra.straight 6 dohc turbo 4.0 barras make huge power easily.
I'd look into contacting Midnight Performance. They do a lot of Ford AWD truck stuff and you could ask them what they're using for a drivetrain. Pretty sure they build transmissions and t-cases to handle pretty close to the hp numbers you're thinking.

Yessir let's go 💯 option two without💡 superchargers just turbos 💯🔥🏁🏆🦅🇺🇲
Option 5. Get star creations and usa body to make a fiberglass shell of the car, then build a tube chassis awd race car out of it.
Dude, Brad’s funny and he keeps his Dad in check, lol! Role reversal, love it!
I’m 56 love the v-8s and ls motors but would love to see the option 4 build
Dude, option 2 is the way to go! Men your dad is super cool! God bless you guy's
Reference Cleetus dale truck for drivetrain
Option 1 for sure! Make it something you could participate in an event like PowerTour which would be sick. Wild but still relatable, comfortable, and usable on the street.
OPTION 3
cad was founded off of us older builders using our cardboard cutouts and some tape to make our shapes for templates back n the day.. well then if ur 40 yrs or older then i think we should be able to get a free cad setup, u know to bring us up into todays technology and thank us for inspiring someone to invent something better
Boys
Put in a Aussie Bara in line 6 engine turbo it
Easy 1-2000 hp
Use a Aussie made Ford territory awd car use the AWD system and transfer case very easy to find in Australia cheap
A mate of mine had done this conversion in a station wagon and the car is absolutely mental
If you want to find out more reach out I can send you pics and vids of my mates car
And think about the 1 finding said vehicle 2 buying and shipping from down under to the states
Option 4 as for you to do something different from your norm.Quality as usual end product.👌👍
Option 1 with such a solid chassis to start with
Man I told my fiancee I love watching you and your father planning these build reminds me of my 24 yr old son and I but he passed away in an accident so right now I stop doing what I love fabricating and doing things we did and watching you guys it's starting to get me to get back doing it again since I know that 1 way or another my son is here with me love you guys u guys have a great relationship you guys remind me of us so much the crap talking to each other and laugh and keep going ❤

Talk to cleetus he built an all wheel Dale truck
YES! I'm new to the channel... this is the first of your uploads that I'm watching. I absolutely LOVE the 60 Lincoln's... with the suicide doors. Barra the world
Love the car.., love the project, im in aaand subscribed ! 🤙🏻🔥let’s GO !!!!!
Awd f150 5.0 coyote whipple charged drive train all day any day
Hit up cleet and midnight performance
Option square root of 36 :
Name : Wincoln Conceptional. (W - is for wide body)
Use 2 Ford 300 inline 6 motors mounted side by side to one transmission.
Then supercharge and twin turbo each motor
The dale truck uses a monster truck transfer case, talk to cleetus.
I was going to suggest Monster Trucks.
Love the video guys much love and respect thanks for sharing
I would say option 2 but if you go option 4 what about a ford barra engie ? Its an Australian 2jz so think about it
Coming from someone who daily drives a 65 with a Gen 4 6.0 and a 6L80, option 2 is ideal. These cars feel great when you can push them like a sports car because they are so big.
If you end up going all wheel drive the NP149 holds up.
i had a 62. loved that car.
needs proline hemi. build the drive train like how cleetus did the dale truck
I think option #5
Banks duramax supercharged and turbo
Rwd
A/C and Heat luxury
Full tube chassis
Or option 4
Definitely go wild!!!
There’s an OR there!! Lmfao. Love your dad! I can only imagine what kind supercharger the turkey has on thanksgiving!
Option 4 / 2wd.
❤ the creativity you guys have!
We know it will turn heads whatever you do!
🔦🏁💰🤑🇺🇸
Call it “ The Lincolnator” That’s my vote
Ya'ah'teeh from Navajo Nation!!
Father and Son team always have the best ideas ......like, "left&right".......keep those ideas coming and looks like alot of fun!!.......justed subscribed, but I've seen you 2 on tv building some badass rides!!!

That cars to nice to chop up, although its an awsome idea.. i wouldnt do it though😅.
Man that cars a beauty, black with red interior👌
Sounds like this would be a great build Brad! I like the idea of the Godzilla motor.
How about the Raptor R motor with about 1500-2000lbs removed and keep it fun for the family?
I’m cool with whatever you guys do with it as long as you have me come out to detail it up and ceramic coat it for you guys!!

Option 4. Do some crazy out the box stuff. You guys are the ones to be able to do it. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼👍🏻
Go with option 4 with an LS8 With twin turbos.
This is going to be another great design that’s going to slay!
Finally! You guys figured out your audio so I can watch your videos again.
Old T-Birds and Continental's are a couple of my favorite designs.
The new Continental is actually pretty good looking.
- Seeing that it’s a Lincoln, you could go the built Coyote motor and drivetrain like Cleetus is running in his F150’s that are AWD
In all honesty, just make it cool/fast looking and sounding with inspiration from the C10 and the Toyota. No matter what, I’m in it 100% to see what you do!
I would say jeep trackhawk based drivetrain for option 3. Option 4 is my personal favorite though!
Cleetus built the Dale truck with monster truck awd......maybe ask him where he got it
Option 4 sounds a lot more appealing plus more fun 🤪
I am pumped for this build!!!😂
This AMERICAN ICON has to have a RADICAL V-8!!!!!!!!!
Agreed
Option 1 with this car . Option 4 with something different ,but 2jz or Rb been done alot. Use an Aussie Barra Turbo 💪. Adam LZ can help you with it
Option 4 widebody looks great.
But this car looks to nice and it's to heavy for that
Name option. Sinistered Executive... 2jz compound turbo, Looking forward to seeing this come together
Option 4 .. make it like the Toyota drift truck/ hoonicorn /c10 slayer Lincoln .. I can’t wait to see this car build
Let’s get down to business pops and son killin it!
Option 1, keep it classy but with power!
Option 2. Sliding in a boat would be cool
Build two 💥 option 1 and option 4 with a carbon fibre body 🔥
option one to keep that icon of a car complete, option 4 with a other big rare muscle car but maybe more incomplete to begin with. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Keep it DeBerti 💯 👌
I would say option 4 but do a Barra straight 6. That way it's keeping it ford engine and those motors can easily make the power. The next one I would say talk to RTR since they built the Hoonicorn and how to keep it alive. It would be really cool to keep it ford V8 and go AWD!
Option 3 or 4!!!! ( AWD) I wish I could do this with my Lincoln as well. I have a rare 1960
Option 3, best of both worlds
Options 4 would be so cool
You guys could do a new coyote and a ten speed trans, there’s parts out there that can support the power and do a transfer case so you could do badass burnouts RWD or 4WD, but a jdm AWD would be awesome! But I say option 1 or 3. Keep it a street rod not a full race car, that car is supposed to have a little luxury.
The car is not right for that combo, too much weight. That car weighs 4500lbs to 5000lbs. You can't get it light enough and make it look cool.
I think a dodge viper V10 would suit this build😍
They are so characterful and underrated engines 😎
I think the best option for awd would be to drop the body on to an escalade chassis. You can find them with awd or the awd skyline setup
Finally. Been waiting for this for so long. Lol.
Deffinately option 1 but I think you need to do a 2JZ build!! 😊, keep the luxury and don't ruin car too much!! 😜
Have a father/son build off. Option 1 for dad, use that body. Then option 4 for son starting with a different body so your not cutting up an already nice body and can cut as much weight as you want from it.
