I still love the CARBON 80' Sunreef I love having the master on 1st level. But I do love the ROOM in this yacht. THE CARBON 80' is also made of light carbon so it will sail a lot faster

This is the first cat interior i like!! Im a mono hull man but i do like this interior its well layout! I would just have the tv drop down from the roof and be able to spin it to face the saloon seating or the dining seating!!! But nice overall!

@@CatamaranChannel he probably doesn't know how little heeling cats have. which makes for smooth ride, and the width of the boat gives a great living space. overall cats are better than monohulls imo for travelling the world. but that's my small opinion.

What a work of art. And the interior design and furnishing is so classy. The design and the colors are so peaceful, belying its true power.
What a desecration it would be if the owners hung dingly balls, added fax gold decorations and ornate (read gaudy) statues, like is seen on so many of these expensive toys.
Its crazy.

I'm amazed at a lot of these comments.... some on fuel consumption, others on how many crew should be on board assuming it is an owner operator sailing couple, and others... My guess is all of you are just like me; unable to afford this vessel. The truth of the matter is the people who can actually afford this will not be sailing it themselves full time. There will be a small crew most likely. The owner may take the helm on occasion just to be able to call himself a sailor. I doubt he will ever pull a line. Fuel endurance is not a concern either. A boat like this will live its life in the Mediterranean or Caribbean, and not ever be far from the comforts of cities.
That's about right. My wife and I are purchasing this model boat by the end of the year. We are planning to live in it in the Caribbean very close to the shore. There will be a small crew.

Of course it's meant to be stilish but the 2 hulls could be wider obove the surface. That isn't gonna create much drag but it creates a lot more storage

the sun reef 80 needs 3 modifications one upper deck needs hard cover with solar on roof It needs to be protected from weather for the pilot and instruments ...possibly another birth for captain pulling a night shift . the trams in the front need to be smaller and the lockers bigger for solar mounted panels and water collection cells. This ship a cruiser for long passages...a true live aboard boat...

Big beautiful floating home. I'm guessing about 10 knots max speed due to a significant hit on displacement and wide hulls. I prefer the Carbon 80, but the salon on this one has 360 views. Very nice Caribbean cruiser.

1rst, it would need to be a White or Cream exterior, since black would hold intolerable heat in the tropics. Interior definately would not look like a hotel; bank; business lobby; or museum motif. Light colors inside saloon, galley up. Cherry or Maple wood borders and trim along with breathable fabic chairs lounge couches pillows. Wood with interior helm nav station. Heads with showers, again with light bright elevating color interiors. Dual gen-sets and lithium batt. combo for the house., and mechanical. Dual diesels and full Solar set up for 3500 kw.minimum. A live aboard arrangement, for circum-navigation. All stairs lit underneath with LED so one can see footing at all times. Enclosed Top Helm, and Screens. 🖐

20 years ago I sailed on then the biggest cat in the world: the 25 m. Magic Cat. The Sunreef 80 shows 20 years of progress... A pity the interior design didn't follow...

I've been watching these videos for two days now. And the same question remains. The hulls do not seem that large from the outside. But when inside the can put king size beds in it. Are the hulls about 2,50 meters large by the middle explaining how they can input large beds inside ?
Good question. The aisle part of the births is down in the hulls, but the beds are built up on a raised-floor section inboard above the hull tunnel, which bridges across, so the rooms are sort of upside-down L shapes pointing inboard.
In this boat, it's not super-pronounced since the hulls are ~2.5m wide at midline, only about like a deep nightstand depth along the full length of the room needed to be cut out near the head end of the beds. But in another tour by this same youtuber, you can see ones where the hulls are a bit narrower, so the entire area under the bed is raised over the hull tunnel about a meter, with about a meter and a half above the bed left, similar to how the low-ceiling lazarette / dingy-storage locker is, aft of the births, opening at the transom.
I like the interior. Not too flashy. It's very masculine as well.

Its a crewcabin, about as big as the galley, with 2 bunkbeds in it and a shower

Stupid questions do exist. I'll be the first one to say. But this question is ok if you dont have a clue about these boats. To answer your question, yes its possible. And its very easy to do with this yacht.

Gorgeous boat. My only observation is that the galley looks pretty small compared to the number of passengers, not to mention guests just visiting, the boat can accommodate. Not much counter space.
Agreed. I bet the owner has the stern cabin ripped out to accommodate a properly sized galley within a year...

Looks like a mix of motorboat with a little bit of sail on top. If you get into a storm with this all chairs will fly around too.
In heavy weather the crew would pack any furniture not floor affixed into the designated storage compartments for them. The galley has special drawers for cuttlery and plates that holds them in place. This was at a boat show and displayed for fanciness with plants decorations and the sort but out at sea, the boat owner would go for a more minimalistic approach (chairs put away nothing on tables no plant pots and so forth)
Moreover the boat is category a approved which means it is fit for transatlantic crossing, doesn't get any better than that

I think it would be pretty difficult to run an 80 catamaran of this size without at least 3 people. If you were just an owner-operator couple I'd probably recommend going with a smaller catamaran. I'd probably say the Sunreef 60 is the biggest owner-operator size that you could operate comfortably with just 2 people.
