I really don't understand the first obstacle of this race ! It's a genuine question : What's the point ? The candidates just run and suddenly for no reason they get ejected out of the way. How can you succeed at this if these things hit you without any warning ? Should they wait between each of these ? I'm not being sarcastic it's a genuine question.

But I think that to have a good laugh, a minimum of logic in the obstacle is good, so if the candidate fails you can actually know what he was supposed to do. Here it looks like it makes no sense at all.
