Thank you for sharing your Cousin Becky's book collection. It so much fun to see another Diana Waynes Jones fan! I love reading her stories too. I hope Becky joins us for the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe discussion! 🐘
Thank you both ! 📚 that was a wonderful tour and down memory lane of Becky's literary childhood 🎒 🤓. One whole hour plus ! Perfect way to spend this damp but cozy Friday night. It inspired me to review my barrister 💕
She has a lovely collection! So many of my favorites! One question - have either of you read further into the life of Laura after they left for Missouri. There are several books. One is On the Way Home, which is a diary of the move to Missouri. West from Home is letters Laura wrote to Almanzo from San Fransisco when she visited Rose there during the World's Fair in 1915. There are also several biographies and three other series - a series about Rose, a series about Caroline (Ma), and a series called the Days of Laura Ingalls Wilder. There's a Little House Cookbook, which gives recipes of the food including Laura's wedding cake. There's also a Little House on the Prairie Songbook - a rarity in hardback! If you ever wanted to learn to play Ole' Dan Tucker - it's in there! I live in Missouri and have been to the Laura Ingalls Wilder home and Museum here several times to see Pa's Fiddle! If you ever need any travel advice about coming here to see it and other things to see here, I would be more than happy to help!
What lovely books! I have the same two Tasha Tudor editions of A Little Princess and the Secret Garden and sadly they suffered the same fading issue, so I wonder if there's something about the particular paper or ink they used that makes them so susceptible to that? Also, I love Everard's Ride by Diana Wynne Jones--it's such an underrated story by her!
New subscriber here! Your channel popped up today, and I'm so glad it did. I'm a book lover as well! I look forward to reading some of the books you recommend.
I'm also not a fan of Wendall Berry even though I understand the landscape of where he sets his books, Kentucky. Because that's were he's from and it's also where I live. I think it's safe to say he's not for everyone.

Becky… I love, love, love your sweet cousin.
This was an absolute pleasure to watch on this Fall, rainy day. I now have many ideas of new books to add to my own library.
Your cousin has such a lovely size book collection. God bless you both 📚☕🍂🍁🎃🥧
🐘 I love how carefully her collection is curated, unlike mine, which is a random hot mess of things I've picked up here and there and everywhere.
Lol same. But I think there’s a certain beauty in a chaotic hot mess bookshelf, even if it’s not like super fancy or pretty lol
I did not know that about elephants lol 🐘 and I just returned from Disney lol
They should include that fact 😝

🐘❤love this seeing Becky books!!
Oh my goodness! I haven’t watched your video yet (I’m going to wait to watch while I’m having dinner) but I’m sooo happy it’s over an hour long. 😊
Becky! What a gorgeous collection! Thank you for sharing!
Loved seeing so many of my childhood favorites!

Loved seeing your bookshelves😊
A hint about your lupin seeds. They are hard and would sprout better if soaked in water for a day before planting. Loved this video!

🐘 I added The Diddakoi to my Goodreads TBR.
I read that book as a young girl, it was made into a TV series in UK.

Seriously?! I’m nearly 70 and didn’t know elephants sleep standing up.
