    Glad you caught that suspension! Good checking and knowing your truck, reminds me to check mine! Lol. Ive been watching a few of your older videos, your exactly right about the 66 inch side traieler, i dont really know why people even buy em? They are easier for grain carts to load in the field. But it really limits what you can do with a hopper. Ageee ive got 1 84T in 98w tripple axle cornhusker, i can put 1 pile in each hopper and get almost over 80K. Just cutious. Have you looked into tag axles and hauling more tonnage or do you find it to be to much red tape for crossing state lines commercial, you rin a totally diff area than i do. Stay safe, dig what you do. Good vids. Keep er rubber side down.

    • @thedirtytrucker9633
      @thedirtytrucker9633  9 місяців тому +1

      Yeah man. 66” has its place. Mostly for east of the Mississippi farm work. Wheat, corn, milk and beans. Tags aren’t really relevant where I run with weight laws. I rarely go anywhere where running a tag or a 3 axle trailer helps out

    • @growthefarmup2606
      @growthefarmup2606 9 місяців тому +1

      @thedirtytrucker9633 that's interesting, I run on somthing called Map 21, it applies to about 80-90% of what I do. It makes permitting overloads easier. Not easy still a pain to cross state lines commercial, but if you got the axles out west it's usually all good, that Said I have hauled more than a few 80K gross loads on my 8 axle rig. It was a back haul. Sometimes you take what you can get. To me it seems bulk hauling is all about who you know, and putting the pieces together, I also have a couple walking floor trailers with tags, walking floors are great for the wet stuff but it's really hard to find back hauls so it's alot of dead head. So I built what we call the super air system hopper with axles and air systems and its been a much more profitable rig and life got way easier... so I built a couple more hoppers. Question, what do you think about cornhusker trailers? I got 1, am on the fence about its quality, its sure light. But built like it.

    • @thedirtytrucker9633
      @thedirtytrucker9633  9 місяців тому

      Yes sir. Out west is a different animal. Than out east. As far as Cornhusker they are a great trailer. Light and strong. My biggest deal with them is the exposed ribs and the air drag for fuel mileage. It’s kind of a catch 22 between weight and fuel mileage.

    Hey Gerald, really enjoy the videos! Question: I'm considering getting back into trucking. I started out in my teens working as a diesel mechanic for 7 years. My Dad was an OTR with a reefer.
    I've been back and forth on whether to haul hopper bottom or aluminum end dump. I lean towards hopper bottom just because of simplicity and a new hopper is cheaper than ED. But it seems like on a lot of your videos you have to deal with very slow load and unload times? Have you ever hauled end dump? Do you think the load and unload times are faster with end dump? Appreciate any input you have!
