😂😂😂 Do you have others from the series? Absolutely hilarious walk-through, thank you, it will certainly give me new thoughts to each card. Each deck depicts one of the 8 seasons of the year in the Witches & wiccan calendars. The samhain & Beltane decks are my favourite, this one is pretty cool too.
I’m still on the fence about this deck. I don’t much like the new artist they’ve switched to for this series. The creators also don’t seem to have much feel for the season. Many cards are more fitting for Halloween, the Fawn says Spring to me, cards like Wool are confusing because you don’t sheer sheep at Mabon nor do you have time to sit and knit at harvest time. I get the feeling they didn’t want to put much thought into creating this, just instead were pushed to have it out ASAP. Often the title or key phrase don’t seem to match the card. Like why draw strawberry syrup and label the card elderberry? I have one issue after another. I do have some, not all, of the other decks in the series though. So the completist part of me wants it. It’s a good thing the price is low or I wouldn’t even consider it.
I agree, this doesn't give me the harvest-time/ food abundance vibes I hoped for. More Halloween, with some other things.... I don't "complete" series just for completions sakes. Because that tendency of people is exactly why the publishers/ creators can get lazy after deck number 3of 8, and still know that numbers 4-8 sell automatically, just because they are massmarket and "part of a complete series". If I needed one dedicated deck for each of 8 seasons, I'd rather look around and choose from unrelated ones the very best for each season from my personal seasonal understanding.

@@khan7459 So it’s not just me! I wonder if the artist is Wiccan or a traditional witch? Or even the deck creators? I can see why someone from a different background might have trouble understanding what the autumn equinox represents within the paradigm of the 8 sabbats. While the decks may be very appealing to others, I think the rest of the decks will suffer if they come from some random background looking for easy money on the set. The more I think about it, I don’t think I’ll get this, which makes me sad.
