Both of Muru's songs are the main reason I watch this movie.
I watched the movie before and I almost cried because of these 2 reasons:
1: Muru sings the most beautiful song I have ever heard.
2: aleu leaves her dad to lead some wolf pack.
Praise for the high tide Praise for the seaside Praise for the sun at high noon Praise for the lightning Praise for the singing Praise the father sun And sister moon Praise for the red dawn, Grass that we walk upon, Praise for the river's whispered tune. Praise for the wind brother, Praise for the earth mother. Praise the father sun, And sister moon. Hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya Hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya
He for sure isn't saying praise for the seaside. It sounds like he's saying praise for the riverbed. Not sure but it definitely isn't seaside
The irony for me is I loved the first Balto movie and never saw the full second movie but when it came on tv once this is the EXACT spot I came in at...really great song just wish there was a version where Muru's opening chants were louder instead of seeming to be ripped right from the movie itself.
This song is a hidden gem in a VERY mediocre film (imo), this chant hypnotized me upon this scene! Bless you, Rob Paulsen!
That's Rob Paulson?! I had no idea! Dang, he has a nice singing voice!
I saw this film when I was an adolescent and I’ve never forgotten it in all my years, I’m almost 30. Just revisiting it for the first time in decades, just as touching as I fondly recalled.
And yeah the film is extremely mediocre even for a straight to vhs animated film haha
This was my sons lullaby since he was born, he's now 3 and just stays quiet whenever he hears it.
After all these years, I still haven't forgotten muru's chant. I still hum it to myself every now and then, with lyrics of deep wisdom. Always there, just out of reach. The truth, barely hidden, but always there. Every part of this song raises my spirit, but for me it's "Mother Moon, and Brother Sun". That's just me, though.
This song is Muru singing about the Native American Spirits. I like the voice of Muru.
anyone knew the muru's singing voice was actually done by a guy who did 80s raphael which is Rob Paulsen! He has an amazing voice!
This music is majestic. One second of this opens my eyes. Trees swaying. Stars sparkling and hearts dancing. Natures melody. That is what I picture with this tune!! :)
I remember I used to legit watch this movie every morning in the summer. Ahh that was back in the good old days :')
Why do I like his song so much
I wish aleu hadn't made so much racket in the beginning. :(
This is my favorite song in Balto too :-)
They shouldve had a soundtrack for this movie, with a full version of this song first on the playlist :)
Who’s watching in 2024 😩
i wish this was made into a full song :o
This song does things to me, I've always loved the wolf spirit and I can't explain why but I have to fight the urge to howl when singing/hearing this
Argggg!!!! If there is a full version of this song!!! I been looking high and low for one...
I converted this song to mp3 now I listen and relax to murus words of wisdom
I wish there was a full version of this song
Aleu's howl sends chills down my spine
Especially her last howl
It feels like home. I could just howl out to the sky and be heard for miles
Praise for the high tide
Praise for the seaside
Praise for the sun at high noon
Praise for the lightning
Praise for the singing
Praise for Father Sun & Sister Moon.
Praise for the breath of dawn
Grass that we walk upon
Praise for the river's whispered tune
Praise for the Wind Brother
Praise for the Earth Mother
Praise for Father Sun & Sister Moon,
Praise for Father Sun & Sister Moon
Hey-ya- hey-ya -hey-ya
Hey -ya-hey-ya -hey-ya.
I am a strong man.
But this song makes me cry bc it is so beautiful.
Even after all these years later I still come back to this song...
I still listen to this in 2013, I love it! The music is awesome!
Praise for the high tide,
Praise for the seaside,
Praise for the sun and high noon.
Praise for the lightning,
Praise for the singing,
Praise for the father sun and sister moon.
Praise for the red dawn
Grass that we walk upon,
Praise for the rivers whisper too.
Praise for the wind brother,
Praise for the earth mother,
Praise for the father sun and sister moon.
Praise for the father sun and sister moon.
Hey ya, hey ya, hey ya...
still listening to this in 2016...
this song sends chill and calmness throughout my body...
You cannot even begin to comprehend how much I would watch this when I was little
I'm glad you feel the same. It takes those of a rare mold to remember: nature is beautiful. We take it for granted every day, but the world around us is thrumming with life. The same force that makes you and I live is the same force that gave birth to a seedling, which became a sapling, and grew up after many years to become a magnificent tree. In this way, humanity and the tree are brothers. We are all one. And out of one we are born. Good luck, I hope you find your answers. I have mine.
God......a true masterpiece, huh? I love it. It is as if it speaks to your heart. And, oh, I love her howl. Well any wolf's howl. They're beautiful creatures, like all animals......
I'm a Pagan/reform Jew/otherkin who wears a tail all the time to feel complete.
This is such a spiritual chant, it's so beautiful! ;)
this song always relaxes me.
this is soooo beautiful!!
I LOVE this movie thanks for uploading
Ah, I really feel like howling right now... I'll just have to wait for tomorrow, when I'm alone in the house *sigh*.
Thank you for this!!
Hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya Hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-y
I agree but I was a little boy when I saw this movie and all I new was that u liked it very much a nod I would lob to see it again and actually watch it but Balto was the best movie in 90s that was right their in the heart and can watch that movie all the time if i could I

happy earth day 2017, everyone ^^
praise for the wind brother praise for the earth mother i love that chant
The lyrics remind me of Saint Francesco's Praise of the Creatures.
I have no idea why this song makes me so happy but it just does:)
ever since i first heard this years ago, its had a haunting effect on me, but in a good way. its absolutely beautiful. i want to find an mp3 of that!
I forgot how much I love this song.
This song is so beatiful. It can go with anything too. Plus it's sung by a cute mousie! What more can you want?
couldn't agree more
I have a mood disorder and it helps to listen to this song, and I figured out a way to put this song on my ipod.
DUDE I never was able to hear the lyrics and I've always wanted to know what they were. Thanks for posting that :D
I will always love this song
Nice.
little hard to hear the beginning so hear are the lyrics
Praise for the high tide
Praise for the seaside
Praise for the sun at high noon
Praise for the lightning
Praise for the singing
Praise the father sun
And sister moon
Praise for the red dawn,
Grass that we walk upon,
Praise for the river's whispered tune.
Praise for the wind brother,
Praise for the earth mother.
Praise the father sun,
And sister moon.
Hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya (Aleu howls)
(howling continues) Hey-ya, hey-ya, hey-ya
Just watched this film about half an hour ago. It brings back few memories and the nostalgia isn't great, but the part I do remember is right after this scene where Alue looks at the spots on the bear. Even now I don't know a great deal of what she means, I can only guess.
Just so everyone knows that this is Peter macnicol who plays muru ^^
I really wish someone would make a cover of this song
in the movie she is walking in a tight tunnel and then falls down a hole.
If you have heard this then did you mysteriously cry after (cause I did)
I wished there was :(
Its a beautiful tune...
:)
thank you very much for the lyrics!
it mustve taken you ages, well done!
)0(
Busby voice is beautiful melody
i found that scene so cute. he sure has a voice for a little mouse lol
I love it I was singing in class
love the song
Amazing chant=)
*howls along with Aleu*
This my favorite song from this movie. I don't know what was going through Aleu's head, but I would love to be a wolf!
awesome song ^^
Praise father sun and sister moon
oh thanks ^^
I would really like it if someone put the song that played when the moon phases occurred to show time passing in the film. I really liked it for it had a nice symbolic tune to it with the whole story.
Man I wish they had used to original voices for balto and the bears and the goose and all the previous characters from the first one, but after watching it you kinda get used to it. But the first one to me just seemed way better produced as far as audio goes.
I'm sure this how animals feels every early morning specially birds
dude this song makes me wish I was 5 again
yes! they dont have a version with the whole thing, tho they do have the lyrics
1:13, "AWOOOOOO!!!!!"
the music sounds a bit higher then the movie, anyways thanks for uploading
I have to howl every time i hear this lol :3
why should i be afraid of someone who dosen´t know who is
Does anyone know the song that is played when they show the moon phases to show the time passing? I really liked that part. So far I haven't found anyone putting that piece of music up anywhere.
damn. Not alone yet. Must. Resist. Urge.
Alright just gonna throw my two cents in here. Look at it however you want honestly. Part of it is you have to look at the context of the movie. Muru is meant to be Alue's spirit guide. I see him as a shaman type character but each their own.
This also happens to be my favorite song in the movie, I wish there was a full version of it.
@Rainstarhasastick Because she's crawling through a cave and making grunts
@Eagle1Division2 I choose to interpret it more as being thankful for these things which god has given us, as they are part of him for being his creation. I grew up with this movie, and never went to church because of my parents disagreements regarding beliefs. I don't think, therefore, that this movie really endorses pantheistic or polytheistic religions. If it did, I probably would have turned out differently.
manifique !
this is so deep and old it couldve been sung by pagans centuries ago!
im a wiccan and i use this in my devotions, you wouldnt believe the power it raises!
This is a native american praise song to give praise to nature. While I agree with you in the powers it can raise, it bothers me that you would actually say pagans could've sang this. Native Americans have had enough stolen from them. Why not just say its a beautiful and deep song and keep the credit to the native ppl?
Yeah, I know... but that doesn't mean she has to be moaning to herself while she does it. =P
2019?
@PrinceSephiroth
yh thanks someone agrees
You could try Baltosource, that website has a lot of Balto stuff on it.
Can anyone tell me where I can get a download of this soundtrack?
