Glad the boys enjoyed going to the movies with their mom. Nice to get out and enjoy the movies. The scenery was beautiful going and coming back. Dinner looked amazing.
You’re looking GREAT! Would love to hear your new routine ❤ Movies with the kids is a great memory, especially while they are young enough to see more the more innocent type.
Took 2 of my grandchildren to see Paddington movie last week here in Australia. Senior concession plus 2 under 8yo was $46. I made up lolly packs & took bottles of water. All seats recline, we had a great time.
I live in a smallish town in Oregon. We have one older theater with 10 screens. We have $5 Tuesdays where all seats are $5 and a kid snack pack (includes small drink, small popcorn and candy for $6. Not very fancy but a pretty good deal to take the family out for a treat.
Good morning it is Sunday morning here in Kentucky January 26. Movies here are $8.00 no matter what you go to watch. We take our own snacks that we can afford ❤
Just make precious memories with your kids that’s all make precious memories. You don’t have to go all the time once in a while is good.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
From Southern Illinois here we have a local movie theater our city owns . Adults $9 Children $8 (under 11) Seniors $7 (55 and up ) We take our own snacks ( candy , hotdogs , ect. ) Drinks we take our own plastic bottles only ( no cans or glass bottles allowed ) But we always buy popcorn . Our theater also closed down during Covid but to keep from going totally under They sold popcorn on Fri and Sat. with lines going down the block . POPCORN large bucket $10 with one free refill ( so you got 2 buckets ) to take home . But being city owned they have different specials throughout the year . Girls Scouts had a food drive bring 4 cans get in free Senior Group $1 Thurs. in the afternoon Police had a toy drive bring in a toy get in free . They also show old movies for a $1 They call it come in from the cold during the winter and get out of the heat during the summer .
In Grand Rapids, MI we can go to a movie for about $10/person for a senior ticket. If we go to a movie, we go in the late afternoon so $9 for a matinee and $15 for popcorn/drink. I love the wide variety of foods your kiddos will eat. Good job on introducing things early.
My husband and I love going to the movies. Our nearest theatre is a 5 minute walk but its currently under repairs. The one we go to the most now is about 30 minutes away down lovely back roads. We do matinees, good chance I will fall asleep if we go in the evening. It’s an expensive outing, but we are able to buy passes for about $35.00 (Canadian) and that includes 2 adults, 2 medium drinks and a medium popcorn. Yesterday we saw Flight Risk, in AVX, so there was a $12 up charge, plus $2 booking charge and we upsized our drinks and popcorn for $1.50. Luckily it’s just the two of us and we use the coupon. We couldn’t go as much as we like otherwise.
Going to the see a movie is so fun !! But it can be really expensive when you add up the snacks and drinks too unfortunately. It is, what it is. I just go less often nowadays as a result. Glad you had fun !! ❤
Thanks for sharing your outing with the kids. The theater was so nice. The food looked delicious. It's good that your kids eat different foods. Violet is so adorable. She looks like she's going to try different foods also. Have a great day. ❤
Thanks for sharing Lauren I have to tell you I got my parents a Skylight frame for Christmas on your suggestion and they LOVE IT!! It was the best gift for them as their kids/ grandkids all live far away so it brings them so much happiness! Thanks for the idea ❤

Lauren your clam chowder looked so good! Aww...sweet Westie saying good bye, adorable! Our IMAX theater here in Maine is $19.00 for adults and $17.75 for children for the afternoon showing. 🎟 The Regal Cinema is $11.99 for adults and $10.99 for children, just like your theater but the concession prices are little cheaper...lol 🎭
Thank you for giving Evetet lots of hugs.....and your other boys too. Sometimes the bigger boys don't come to you for hugs but I know you purposefully go to them to give them their hugs. Bot, if i had to do it over again. I have so muchcto repent for. Lord Jesus heal my boys cuz I did not hug them enough. ❤❤❤❤
Hello Lauren, my small town theater in Nor Cal has general admission $12, movies before 5:30pm $8:50, seniors $8:50, children $6:00 and tightwad Tuesday $6:00. Small popcorn $3, Med $4, Large $10 and all popcorn free refills. We generally buy our own candy at the dollar store. We have luxury loungers for same price but only in the 21 and up area. I'm looking forward to the Paddington Bear movie which starts Feb. 14. Thank you for all your research on Alaskan movie theaters it was very interesting to see what's available there in your area.
In our small town we recently got a renovated theater that was previously closed. It has heated reclining seats. I love them! $5 matinee and $8.75 for evenings for adults.
It's the same prices here in Michigan for movies unless like you showed signing up for the movie club. I used to have a movie club membership when my baby brother was alive, but now it's just my daughter, son and granddaughter that goes once or twice a month. I can say our two theaters we do have are very nice and have all reclining chairs. We have one other theater thats much older and offer $1 movies on Sundays, but they get you at the concession. Thank you for sharing.
Almost 20 years ago, my husband (now ex) took a cruise to Alaska, then a train from Anchorage to Fairbanks. While in Anchorage we took in a movie at the theater in the mall. We stayed in a room near the mall. It was a great visit.
Morning Hamm Fam, years ago when our son was young, we only have one, I use to do a bag of popcorn at home and bring a couple drinks in my large purse with a little candy to keep prices down. 😂
We have a Cinema 8 in our neighborhood, $6 movies on Tuesdays, prices went up about a year ago, then all the prices went up, so I don’t go as often as I used to 😢, I can’t remember our prices on snacks, but our popcorn is unlimited, as well as drinks!!
We live in a small town and have a movie theater in Huntingdon Tn (very nice)and it is cheap for tickets $6 for adults and $5 for children and Seniors..and the concessions are very reasonable because who can resist the popcorn! They serve pizza nachos shakes pretzels candy! We also stop in and get concessions without watching the movie ( they get a lot of business from this) great video!
The cost of movie theater tickets is ridiculous anywhere but we have my childhood theater " The Crest" in Shoreline Wa. Where their tickets are $4.00 and they have very up to date movies. When I was a kid ( the 60s ) you could walk in with a brown bag of homemade popcorn, two movies and cartoon between.
When I was young, also in the 60's, my mom would fill a large grocery paper sack with popcorn (there are 4 kids in my family) and take sodas for us too. Now that movies are so expensive, maybe theaters should allow that again on certain days.
I have had movies ruined from the people walking out of the movie giving a spoiler, so I am so happy you corrected Everett about not giving spoilers! lol even talking about it around the theater is a faux pas. Great video!
I like the idea of having a theater that shows "older" movies. I haven't been to a movie since before Covid. Here there are two theaters, one with twelve screens, one with six but both are owned by the same company and show the same movies. I grew up reading the Paddington books and have seen the first of the movies.
Goodness gracious, I haven't been to the movies in a very, VERY long time, I guess It will be a very long time till I go back! Its so sad that such a fun family activity has gotten that expensive. A $12.00 bucket of popcorn...free refill, and a $9.00 drink, 😭. Im so glad you and the boys enjoyed yourselves, spending time together doing things as a family is the important thing!! Your clam chowder looked so delicious, I love that yummy soup!! Great to hear from you on Sundays! I love the Hamm Family!! 🫶
Our theater is owned by our small town and is vintage! It’s 5 dollars a person to get I and if we bring our popcorn bucket back (ice cream bucket size) it’s 3 dollars to fill it . We love it!
It was gd to see u go to the movie with the boys. Looks like they had fun . Never had a clam chowder before. I probably would like it I love my see food. Lots of love from helen in England xxx
I was taught to always take a big purse with a water bottle or two and sandwich baggies of snacks as the food and drink is way too expensive. And to do matinees to save on tickets. Glad you all had a great time. Enjoyed the video content as usual. God bless!
We haven't gone to see a movie since my oldest grandson was a little boy. I took him to see the first Transformer movie lol. And I havent missed it. Its way too costly now a days. I've checked on prices lately, I nearly fainted lol. My youngest grandson is a Sonic The Hedgehog fan but I saw that the new movie is streaming on I believe Netflix so we will have a movie night in our home lol.
I live in Chatsworth Ga and about an hour where I live in Blue Ridge GA is a drive in theater. So fun in the summer. You can watch 2 movies for one price.
I hadn't been to a movie in years until last summer. The theater where I live is $10 for adults, but the greatest draw for me is they play Angel Studios films. Thank you for another great video!
In our small town we have a theater which has been open since I was a child and I am now 73. It has had maybe 3 different owners. The people whovrun it now are fantastic. A few years ago they were going to close because they couldn't run the newer movies because of the sound system and projectorvbeing outdated. The town took it upon itself to hold different events and raised enough money to pay for the new equipment. The theater holds first run movies, and the cost is 10 which includes popcorn and a drink. The theater is a beautiful old theater with tiered rows of seats and down toward the front are several sofas and coffee tables. It is really a wonderful experience. I took my grandsons there when they were younger and it truly was a wonderful experience.
Im in Western NY, were i live, we have the "chain" theaters, slightly less expensive, but we also have 2 "old fashion" locally own single screen theaters, that are cheaper than the big theater and they have so much more character . I generally go to thise theaters, so i can support local business and its cheaper. Laughed when i saw your sons shorts, living just outside of Buffalo, we have die hard short wearers too, all winter long.
Here in southwest Ohio we usually only go to Cinemark theaters but our prices are very similar, but all of our theaters have the reclining seats. We do have a discount theater in another town, but it shows one movie only on the weekend at specific times, and shows for a couple weekends in a row. That's a more traditional type of theater with their seating. But it's a good way to see movies for 5.00 a person, if you get there and get seats on time. As they only have one theater.
I live down the road from a cinema it used do be a theatre back in the day , we almost lost it during lockdown , someone donated the money they need , last movie I saw was Mufasa and it’s amazing
The movies are really expensive here. Happy Belated Birthday, Hunter. You did a beautiful job on Hunters cake. Still have Willow to watch. You do a great job on all of the vlogs, Lauren. Hugs and Love from Manitoba
We were stationed (Navy) in La Maddalena, Sardinia. They would have movies on the ship but nothing for dependents. Our friend’s mom bought a projector and brought it with her when she came to visit. Each sailor was allowed to rent 2 movies. Every Saturday and Sunday we would meet at our friend’s house (they had the biggest one) and watch movies. Everyone brought food and we would eat and watch movies nonstop. The guy running the projector liked his beer so after each reel was finished we would have to wake him up to put on the next reel. Sometimes they wouldn’t get anything new for awhile so we would watch “Smoky and the Bandit”. I saw that film more times than I can count. Fun times tho it was an isolated duty station and hard on a lot of marriages. Limited groceries, etc. and the lack of community. There was no base housing and the Italians wouldn’t allow any type of club, etc. But in the summer, oh my, the beaches are spectacular.
With the price of everything else in the world I am amazed at how “cheap” going to the movies is. Of course you can bring that up depending on how much snacks you get but we usually split a popcorn and a drink and sneak in anything else lol
Ours is a little cheaper here in western MA- matinee is $7 for all and evening is $10 for adult $7 for kids. For special movies like imax, etc you would have to go about an hour away. All of our theater seats are recliners with heat features. You pick your seat when purchasing.
We go movies maybe twice a year depending on what's showing or if its worth it We save up for the movies take our own water lollies but get popcorn drink deals while there Sending our hot steamy weather to you from Australia its been 29 to 35 C degrees for last few days a bit of heatwave its still 25C degrees 12 14am I'm in Queensland state in Australia
Whoa, I am so glad my kids and grandchildren are grown when it comes to seeing what things currently cost. I have 9 grandkids so we use to take them and have them pick out treats from the grocery store and they each had a bottle of water. Then at home we would have pizza and play games. It is so sad to me that the expense of activities we all grew up experiencing is out of reach for so many families. Remember : Drive In movie theatre when a car load was five dollars? I understand that it cost so much to operate the theatre so I’m not placing blame there.
That was very interesting but very expensive! Welcome to 2025! Supper looked great! Is there anything that Violet doesn’t like? Blessings, Miss Linda 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I saw our town in Indiana is getting a Sketchers store as well. I haven’t been to the movies in probably 10 years. My now teen son stopped liking to go (he’s on the autism spectrum) so we stopped taking him. I know it is also very expensive. My husband and I practically lived at the movies in high school when we were dating. We used to run out of movies to see because we had seen them all. 😂😊
I don’t go to the movies very often. Went to a weekday matinee with my bible study ladies, it was only $7.00, not bad !! Lg. popcorn was $12.00 with refills. One lady got the popcorn and we all shared. One lady brought her own soda !! Saw a great movie , The best Christmas. Padgett ever !! Wonderful movie !! 💙🩷💙💙💙💙🩷 yummy clam chowder !!
Our theatre prices are very close , maybe $2 cheaper. But popcorn & drinks are crazy high like those were. We maybe go twice a year… mainly around the holidays!
GOOD MORNING LAUREN AND FAMILY I LIVE IN. NORTH HOLLYWOOD CALIFORNIA WE HAVE TO MANY THEATERS NEAR ME OMG I AM SICK AT HOME BEEN HOME FOR MANY YEARS JUST GO TO DR. APT. TO DINNER ONCE IN A WHILE I LOVE YOU. SO MUCH AND YOUR FAMILY WHAT OMG
Loved Paddington in Peru. Theatre tickets in most theatres in Australia are very expensive. We go to a small chain of theatres not the main stream ones. My Brother and SIL took 2 of their grandchildren to see Sonic the Hedgehog.
They closed down local movie theater. Now we have to drive 45minutes to an hour to theater. They always have to come over and help us with the the computer we freeze it up all the time. I would pass on the alcohol at a movie theater especially with the kids.
Wow! The matinee prices are comparable to regular priced tickets here in NC. Your regular prices are WOW The concession prices are a little higher but not too much. And where were Bennett’s pants??? lol I guess 5 degrees out is a heat wave to him!! lol thank you for sharing with us ❤
My mother would fix hot dogs to "sneak" into the movie theater, that was in the 90's when prices was going up. Now days, no one to go to the movies and now what are coming out not really interested in.
Wow that’s a lot I usually buy my popcorn and candy outside before I go into the movie theater because it’s a lot cheaper the candies in there six dollars wow over here $1.25 in Brooklyn for the candy
Here in Canada we are not allowed to take popcorn or candy or drinks into the theatres. Lots of people sneak it in, but the ushers are watching. I have no idea what happens if they are caught, probably given a stern frown because after all, we’re Canadian eh? 🇨🇦😂
Bennett where's your pants 😂😂😂😂 to be young again LOL ok here in Kankakee IL (it's 60 miles south of Chicago) a matinee is $6 and after 6pm $12 our drinks and popcorn 🍿 is pretty close to your prices . We don't go often I work night shift so in the summer we occasionally will go at 10 am rofl no crowds 😂 and I'm still not use to picking out our seats on the screen. Also all of our theaters have reclining seats that have heating or cooling seats
Winter coats and shorts in 5° weather, love it 😂❤
I was thinking the same lol
Glad the boys enjoyed going to the movies with their mom. Nice to get out and enjoy the movies.
The scenery was beautiful going and coming back.
Dinner looked amazing.
I love spending time with you and your family…especially now, when the US is in such turmoil ❤

After seeing B in shorts in 5 degree weather, I will no longer fuss at my husband for wearing shorts in 35 degree weather!
It's a man thing I guess...
My husband does the same😂
I can't believe Bennett wore shorts 😂😂
My husband and oldest grandson wear shorts all year long, even in our short "cold" 32 degree weather here lol.
Lol too relatable

Ridiculous
$46!?! Wait on the blu-ray.
We are not allowed to bring in anything from the outside.
You have to sneak it in
I'm in Australia and I paid $80 for 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers), never again.

Such beauty you are surrounded by!
So pretty driving home …thanks for sharing…👏👏💜🇦🇺🦋
I live down the road from a cinema it used do be a theatre back in the day , we almost lost it during lockdown , someone donated the money they need , last movie I saw was Mufasa and it’s amazing
The movies are really expensive here. Happy Belated Birthday, Hunter. You did a beautiful job on Hunters cake. Still have Willow to watch. You do a great job on all of the vlogs, Lauren. Hugs and Love from Manitoba
Wild robot was a really cute😮movie saw it this morning with my daughter
Thanks for the pricing!!!!! So expensive!
I Love your positivity
We go movies maybe twice a year depending on what's showing or if its worth it We save up for the movies take our own water lollies but get popcorn drink deals while there Sending our hot steamy weather to you from Australia its been 29 to 35 C degrees for last few days a bit of heatwave its still 25C degrees 12 14am I'm in Queensland state in Australia
I am in West Virginia and we have snow and cold that is starting to warm up a tiny bit. Our hot dogs are about $1.50. (Not at the movies)
A balmy 5 degrees, so that’s why Bennet is wearing shorts? He must Be part Canadian. 😂 ❤
That’s -15 Celsius in Canada , shorts … I don’t think so
Whoa, I am so glad my kids and grandchildren are grown when it comes to seeing what things currently cost.
Same price for movie here in Reno, NV….that $21 for a month’s worth of movies would be a great deal.
We never go to the theater in Kansas just feel like too expensive we will wait till comes out on prime latter! Love your videos!!!!
That’s a lot cheaper than the cinema in the UK.
Why is Bennett still wearing shorts? Isn’t it little cold?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Males… 😂😂
For Sonic 3 at 11am is kids $15 and adults $17 aus.and a Large Popcorn no refills is $12.
Boot barn is like a western store with customization stuff for cowboy hats & boots with clothes
I haven't been to a movie in about 8 years so I don't know the prices .
Prayers 🙏 and Love 🤟 From Ginger
They closed down local movie theater. Now we have to drive 45minutes to an hour to theater. They always have to come over and help us with the the computer we freeze it up all the time. I would pass on the alcohol at a movie theater especially with the kids.
I believe movie theaters are very expensive all over❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You should’ve been in Pensacola Florida, we had 7” of snow on the beach 😳❄️🥶
In Alabama eggs were 8.50 for a flat of 30 and now they are $21. It’s insane
Thank you
It’s cold here in Ohio we have been in the negative numbers
Wow that’s a lot I usually buy my popcorn and candy outside before I go into the movie theater because it’s a lot cheaper the candies in there six dollars wow over here $1.25 in Brooklyn for the candy
Here in Canada we are not allowed to take popcorn or candy or drinks into the theatres. Lots of people sneak it in, but the ushers are watching. I have no idea what happens if they are caught, probably given a stern frown because after all, we’re Canadian eh? 🇨🇦😂
We just wait these movies will be on Netflix or Disney + soon it's crazy how much stuff cost now days 😮
Same exact cost in Portland Oregon. No difference.
Our Boot Barn in Northern Indiana has mainly Western apparel and boots.
Our Cinemark in northern Ohio is $7.50 for seniors. $8.50 for matinees.
Thanks for taking us along!! Do you have a roller skating rink or other indoor kids activities in your area?Middle Tennessean here.
Pretty awesome, let time I went to the movies it cost for 2 adults and 2 children 87.$.
