Reiner's casual confession was honestly hilarious thinking back on it now. It was so casual and unexpected that it got so many people questioning whether or not they read or heard wrong. It was such a "What the hell?" moment lol. I remember thinking it was a mistranslation or something, but nope! Reiner just kept on talking like it was just a normal everyday thing.
I love how the flag snapping perfectly highlighted the tension finally breaking as well as Reiner snapping in that moment. This didn't happen in the manga but it was a perfect addiction for the anime.
Overall, now you know the difference between a soldier and a warrior :)
Also, here's a little fun thing to think back on. Back in S1E3 when the other cadets were asking Eren what the Armored Titan looked like, Eren said he thought it looked like a normal titan, and then it literally cuts to Reiner listening in on the conversation. I love how this show literally slaps you with who the Armored Titan is that early on without you really knowing about it xD
I believe that they also showed Bertholdt looking at the group while they were asking about the colossal titan.
@@thatoneradicalizedprussian225 I don't particularly remember for Bert, but I honestly would not be surprised lol. There were so many of these kinds of moments all throughout S1 and S2 (before E6 that is), so rewatches are always fun!

Bert, Reiner and Annie were always together. They were the first ones to go and see what's up as soon as Eren transformed into titan to stop the canon ball because spoilery reasons. Reiner and Bertoldt were shocked more than the others, when they saw The Beast Titan, hinting at the fact that they know who it is and what he's appearence means. Reiner knew the truth about Ragako village, and wanted to lead Connie away from figuring it out. Bertoldt ready to bite his hand when the tower was falling. Even Annie was hinting about "warrior" stuff in S1.
just so many hints at stuff.

Yeah I was shocked when I read the manga and it shows how Reiner's mental health was degrading from pretending to be one of them for so long.
Literally had to read it like 4 or 5 times, lmao. The anime conveyed this really well. It was like it was some useless conversation occurring in the background.
And if I remember well in the manga Bertholdt said "What are you saying Reiner ?" and crunchroll used "Why are you telling him ? The real intention of this episode was to make Reiner look like a real crazy guy, look at Bertholdt face...

Berthold doesn't look like the Colossal titan because the colossal titan doesn't have a skin. I think it's simply because he's too big.
Without skin we kinda all look the same, while the other titan have a face and hair.

If you look at past videos, at several points Imon is smirking so much trying not to spoil the Reiner reveal for Abi while they were theorizing. But you guys kept it fun and real, regardless! Also, if you go back when Erin transforms inside the wall, in front of the firing squad, Annie, Reiner and Berdholdt are the first ones to rush off to check it out.
But yea, even a huge reveal like Reiner and Bertholdt is presented so nonchalantly and thrown at us in a way that makes us feel like we missed half the info. I love the theories being thrown around though, it's so fun!
Haha that is true! There were a couple times I wanted to at least guide her in that direction especially in the episode 5 discussion! Because all of the clues were there!

I know you have a busy watching schedule but if you ever decide to go back and watch ssn 1 it's amazing how many times those 3 are together. And how often they're the first to react to some titan event. My favorite is when they all look at each other and then take off and the rest of the cadets with them are looking at each other like, "should we follow them?"
@@thestairguy Also, when Armin, Mikasa, and Conny lead Eren to the supply depot (when he first became a titan), Reiner asks Armin how much he knows about the titan. Reiner is also the one who suggests (when Eren is getting eaten by the titans) that they save the titan because it could be a good ally.
So that ended up being a great reaction to the reveal despite Imon getting spoiled. I already guessed who the Armored Titan was before this while therr are many who didn't. So we ended up getting the best of both reactions, Abi reps the people who didn't know 😲 and Imon repped those who did 🤔. Like what the actual heck dude. You're just going to tell Eren the obsessed that you're the reason his mom is dead like it's nothing? Bertolt's face is animated perfectly right there 😅
All in all that's gotta be the best reveal ever. Well done sir.

Holy shit, after listening to their theories and I'm only gonna say this since these are old and they are on the recent season now and they already learned the answers to the questions they asked, but yeah. It's crazy how right they were (I'm caught up) in their theories at the start of the video. Props to them, specially when there was no evidence really or hints at some of the stuff they guessed right like how old is Ymir really and about the teeth and her being a normal titan before and technically even the evolution of her.

One of the most genius things about how this scene was written was that foreboding feeling you get when the flag breaks. That was totally unnecessary for how the scene plays out but it also adds so much to it.
