Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo Bear have been living on the streets for a while, and a whole neighborhood tried to save them, but had no luck... these two little dogs were so scared of people and they would just run away.
When we got the call on the Hope For Paws line, we rushed to the location, but on that first day we couldn't even find them. It was over 100 degrees outside, so we just created a secure enclosure. The janitor was so kind and offered to keep an eye on them, and he promised that as soon as they go into the enclosure, he will seal the dogs in.
It took 28 hours for the dogs to follow our trail of food, and the Janitor got them for us. Loreta and I rushed back to the location, but discovered that the gates were already closed, and so we had to improvise :-)
After skipping that tall fence, we got to work. Like gladiators, we entered the ring, and Loreta threw the net on Yogi who was the leader of this little pack. Boo-Boo got really nervous, he came to check on his best friend, he barked at us, but there was nothing he could have done.
Loreta and I quickly secured Yogi, and then it was time to get Boo-Boo. He tried to escape, but Loreta was faster. The threw the net, but tripped and fell hard on her knee...
Working together we secured this little guy and he joined his friend. My car was full with so much equipment and fencing that we had to use a small cage for them, but we knew it was a small price to pay for 20 minutes - especially considering the amazing lives they will have ahead.

When I am low, depressed and gone, I watch Loreta and Eldad rescue an animal... and I am back to living. You two and your team have no idea what you do to my life. Keep going for their sake. And mine too.
The best moment in all of these rescues, apart from the obvious one where we see the pups happy and cared for, is the one where they finally realise that no harm is being done to them and they stop fighting, squirming or trying to bite - and you see that they are good dogs and the initial aggressiveness is mainly caused by fear or pain. It always makes me so happy.
Love the way Loreta giggles like a little girl when the pups settle down on her lap. So encouraging.
Loreta always takes one for the team! She’s always being hurt. We need to be sure she has good health coverage. We should donate.

Loreta is so gentle with the dogs and dedicated to her job. Thank you Loreta and Eldad for being so kind to the animals no matter what situation they are in. I understand you have to be a bit harsh sometimes for their own safety, but we know you both don’t do it on purpose 😉

@@THERESA1329 I totally agree with you Theresa. I have two beautiful dogs and I couldn't abandon them or just throw them off anywhere alone. I freak out when they are outside in the patio too long. I start calling them to come inside. These people's that abandon their pets in streets or surrender their pets at shelter, I am sorry but I still can't do something like that. My fur babies are my babies. We sleep with them and bathe them before we shower in the evenings. They know us as family and when a get abandon, I bet they blame themselves and not us. I wish I was a millionaire.. I would donate so much millions to all pet shelters everywhere. Poor sweet babies, they just want to be love.. That's all. 💔💔

It's not necessarily the best option to adopt them together. They are bonded together and wary of humans, which means they may not bond with their owner so well and are more prone to running away, being aggressive etc. Dogs are very good at adapting, and separating them won't cause long-term negative effects if they have good people to take care of them properly. I know it's tempting to humanize pets and a pair like that seems so cute and "meant to be", but taking them as dogs is the best for them.
that is one opinion, but dogs do get attached to ther dogs and yes they may finally adapt but they have had it hard already they need to stay together it is best thing for these little guys
Yes, there are too many dogs in many pounds and if they get two adopted instead of one, that can save a dog from being euthanized.

I live in a place where there is a huge lake with a fence around it, I found her under a tree in the water, and she was very friendly. I trained her with my parents and now she’s as healthy as she can be.
She’s 5 now and has a great home. :)

I have 4 cats, 3 of them are siblings, kittens actually. Found them on the street mourning their dead sibling and I just knew I could leave them there, so I brought them to my vet, had them checked out, medicated, got 'em shots, and brought them home. They are mine now and are well provided and loved.

I hope Loreta was okay after the fall. I doubt that this rescue would've been completed without her. Loreta, you always give 100% for the rescues and I appreciate that as I'm sure others do too but please take care of yourself too. Animals really love you!

Anybody involved in rescue understands that fear behavior is very common, and almost expected. My cat, the Late Great Jake..bit the bejesus out of me the third day we had him. Owww... And we bonded over it!! I loved him, and had that goofy little gangsta-cat for close to nine years!! You guys are rescue experts, and your 'Compassion Batallion" does everything right - for the main goal - securing and helping animals in need. We are proud to be donors. Way to go, "El Dude"....

Even feeding or walking dogs you're still impacting and improving lives ❤ And don't ever let anyone keep you from achieving your goals and dreams! This 2 poor and scary doggies only needed love, someone that take care of both. You had done it !!! Hope they find a definite home full of patience to recover the trust in humans, with cuddles, comfy beds, plays and walks outside with lot of the love and care they need to be happy dogs.
