Is this Rammstein's biggest hidden gem?

in my opinion there are more hidden gems than really popular songs. By the way - you could easily make 30-40 more reactions to impressive Rammstein songs. Next hidden gems? Try "Spring" oder "Dalai Lama" (both have great fanmade videos - no official or live ones). You won't regret it!
By the way - love your Rammstein reactions from the start!!
      Greetings from good old germany!

      No, there are more gems.😉
I like Stein um Stein, Morgenstern and some others. Check out the live in Nimes performance.

In my opinion, the song deals with the subject of child abuse. The nursery rhyme "Hoppe Hoppe Reiter" could have a sexual undertone in a sinister context when the child sits on the parent's knee and is "shaken" in an up and down movement. The fact that the child is buried alive metaphorically expresses that he is mentally dead.
Actually, the child was supposed to die in the song, but the band was able to persuade Till to include another verse in which the child (Jacob) was saved.

This entire album is so good that I have bought one for the house, one for the car, and yes ein fur mein Mutter. Name another record you don't want to be 3 steps away from. Seriously, I will check it out!

First of all I love your reactions and comments! The beginning of this song is btw not a small child dying for appearance sake, but a small child pretending to die cause he wanted to be alone, so he slowed his breathing and heartbeat to seem dead....with the controversy of the song in general and the lyrics it is possible that the child did it as a means of *escape*

I agree with tosa. As i have mentioned on the premiere almost all of Rammsteins lyrics have some story to tell you (except for the song Dicke Titten 😅). The best song from a lyrical perspective is the song Deutschland for me, which I have commented on right before I made my comment on this reaction. Deutschland is the most important song for me from Rammstein.

Even dicke titten has some story, especially the video fills a lot of missing links when it comes to the blindness/ grey life

Here's something else interesting to know. The child's voice in the chorus is Richard's daughter Khira Li Lindemann. Lindemann? Yes, that's right. Richard has the daughter with Till's ex-wife. The wife may keep the surname after the divorce. Since they were never married, Khira got her mother's last name and thus Till's last name. 🤯

My favourit Rammstein song is Laichzeit. But do not attempt to make a reaction video to this, YT would kill your channel immediately.

Normally Rammstein songs are performed way better live than record but they underperformed this song. Probably that’s why they don’t play this live.
