Damn these three had some good chemistry. Tough girl, she looks great. Want to say I’m glad she could bounce back from that but it sounds like she was never out. Legend indeed.
Damn, best hour I spent on anything entertainment related in a long ass time. Laughed a ton, which was totally unexpected. You guys could have Brooklinn on once a month to just shoot the shit and talk about whatever. All three of you have great chemistry together. Good times.
@Bussin Nuts 8=D And yet here you are on the same video spreading negativity on people you know nothing about. Why? Did it make you feel good about yourself? You should probably take your own advice my guy. I get out plenty, which is why I'm happy, leaving positive comments. And yes, I found the hour flew by. I laughed, I found Brooklinn very engaging and I always enjoy Jason and Tony being themselves. Again, why would this have any affect on your life? When you have a negative thought about something online that doesn't ACTUALLY affect your life, let it go. It does nothing to make the world a better place and it keeps you swimming in it. Just let it go.
Reason number 257 why Hawk vs. Wolf is THE podcast to listen to and watch: two hosts seamlessly combine the heavy with some levity. Easily said. Not easily done. In the span of an hour we traverse topics about challenging the very root of human survival--emotionally and physically--while bumming on Souplantation going down with the pandemic while still bringing it on back to the touchstone, the healer of skateboarding. The guests shine, Hawk and Ellis balance, and somehow there's always a ribbon of inspiration that runs throughout.
Very inspiring young lady. Her attitude is outstanding and not just because of her recovery from the attack but overall. I really like seeing people that are genuinely happy people.
i'am 30 yrs old and Tony was my insperation growing up he's the reason i started Boarding he's the reason i got through all 12 yrs of school. THANKYOU MR HAWK!!
Great episode, I admittedly had no idea who she was - I didn't even realise she'd had an injury to her face. Looked up some of those earlier / in progress pics and wow - what a journey, good for her and kudos for sharing it for others who might need to see it.
I was attacked by two Pit bulls when I was 6. They took a chunk of my scalp down to the skull, split my right eye lid and ripped most of my right ear off along with multiple puncture wounds on my arms and legs. I was also blessed with great doctors. I’m now 42 and have a beautiful family. I love this young lady’s attitude and the way she handles it. Much respect stay strong.
I love that this conversation seemed both so respectful, open and effortless. "Yeah, I got my face ripped off, I don't take pain meds... you like cheeseburgers?" 🧡🧡 42:00
i love all 3 of these people. so surprised and glad to see her on here. if you haven't been following Brooklinn, you need to start! a beautiful human through and through.
Rad guest you guys. Well done. Brooklinn, you rule. I'm an olderish (Jason's age) grumpy guy and it takes a lot to move me. Your story is incredibly inspiring. I'll definitely think of you the next time I feel like I'm going through some shit. (Edit: And I'm only twenty minutes in. smh Damn.)
I went into this episode not knowing anything about her story, but wow she’s an inspiration. The bravery and character she has should be implemented into everyone’s lives. 🙌🏾
I really appreciate that you guys specifically put "pit bull" in the video, and that Brooklinn doesn't shy away from stating the facts with that. Honestly her cousin sounds cringy as fuck being the type to make those types of blindly over-aggressive Facebook posts, almost seemingly proud that her pit bull was more of an aggressive dog. I think Brooklinn is handling it all perfectly, not backing down from naming the breed, also not being overly against pit bulls per say, but just stating facts also like with how she was saying that the other dog attack victims she's met have ALL been from pit bulls.
Talk about confirmation bias 😬. That dog’s owner had conditioned it to be violent. Pits are not inherently bad, they just sadly attract a lot of bad irresponsible owners who think it makes them a badass to have a dog they teach to be aggressive. They were bred back in the day to be fighters, specifically against bulls. So we made them with a broad large bite so they could latch onto the broad flat surface of a bull. That’s why their bites are so damaging compared to narrow snout dogs who don’t do much severe damage unless they get around a limb. Statistically chihuahuas, GSDs and even labs bite ppl more often than pits, but again they don’t do as much damage as easily so you rarely hear them named in reports of dog attacks. That dog did need to be put down, but she isn’t anti pit. She’s anti bad owners teaching their dogs to be aggressive. The cousin should’ve faced a charge like criminal negligence or something. If we held owners responsible I guarantee you there’d be far less dog attacks.
@@mrs.h2725 No, pit bulls are inherently violent and dangerous animals. They are not domesticated dogs. There are good owners, and bad owners. There are no good pitbulls.
Been following Brooklinn since the beginning when she first started posting, and was so stoked to see her on your podcast, which I also am a subscriber. She is incredible and such an inspiration I inspire to be more positive because of her.
Brooklinn sounds like an amazing human. I knew nothing about her before this interview and I wasn't sure what to expect but the flow and chemistry of these three is perfect. This is one of the best youtube episodes I've watched, by far. Brooklinn's energy, positivity and personality are gold.
I listened to this today on Spotify while I commuted to NYC and I had to watch it on UA-cam as soon as I got home. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She's a Boss!

She reminds me a lot of my myself when I fractured my back at age 18, 12 years ago. I bailed off a horse and Rolland away to avoid being trampled and refused to have an ambulance called. I had a classmate drop me off at the hospital and ended up in a back brace for a few months. my brother was also paralyzed 5 years ago in 2018 with cancer in his spine at the age of 21.
