So yeah, I decided to do this before Rock Band 1. I went for an FC of One one night, and I got it within like 30 minutes, so that motivated to start going through this whole game instead. RB1 will be after GHM is all uploaded and done. My apologies
So this score ain't that great, there's a really tough extra 400 on the first activation, and a ton of ticks. I'm not really that good at holding out ticks on this generation of Guitar Hero game. That along with extended sustain glitches make going for good scores in the "band oriented" Guitar Hero games a real pain. Had lots of fun regardless

The best part of this whole video hands down is at the very end when Lars actually stands up and just beats those drums with James, Kirk and Rob playing around him. It really goes above and beyond the call of duty!
They had the members of Metallica do MoCap for each of their songs. Really cool.
The Ecstasy of Gold at the beginning was an awesome touch

I own this game since June of this year and it's the second out of the band focussed ones that I own (after Aerosmith, still have to get the Van Halen one), but damn... the fact that this game starts with one of my favorite songs is literally the best shit ever
You'll love VH one as well. I beat that too in one sitting in one day. I was a junkie for some RB and GH. I then decided to get a real Shredder and Bass and do it forreal. Seems I'm a natural on the bass. 🤷🏿♀️ who knew 😂

I watched the behind the scenes videos and they really had a lot of fun doing the mocap for the game. Especially James and Kirk. Lars got into it too.

This really captures how much fun they have playing this song
My favorite guitar hero game. Then Van Halen 2nd. Thank you for the intro. Great thing about the intro is that Metallica's entrance in this game is exactly their entrance in real life.
This is the game that made me a Metallica fan, one thing that I noticed that when hearing “Bells” on the album, it sounded odd, it wasn’t until I downloaded the app DJay or something, I was messing with the pitches and I made it that I slowed the song to sound like how it’s presented in the game

You know what's strange? Despite James Hetfield citing Iron Maiden as a huge influence for Metallica, there are currently no Iron Maiden songs in the game. Why is that?
They wanted a song but couldn't get one on the game for whatever reason, perhaps the one on GH5 was the intended one.

This was the coolest opening out of any Guitar Hero game I played. Loved Guitar Hero: Metallica. Was one of my top favorite bands (few years before Guitar Hero III) and I was so happy Metallica got their own game (well, two games with Tap Tap Revenge: Metallica too).

I won't be doing Death Magnetic, at least not on this game. If I ever decide to make videos on all the GH3 DLC, then I would include Death Magnetic.

I have the AC/DC version of guitar hero or rock band (I think it’s rock band) but the bell ringing at the beginning reminds me of hells bells! And is this game available for Xbox one? I have a one and a 360 (that’s how I play the AC/DC game). Big fan of older rock and metal! Wearing a Metallica shirt as we speak!
Unfortunately all GB/RB games are on X360/PS3 exclusively. The only way to play these songs are through original copies or getting Clone Hero and the individual setlists.
The ladder option is free, but might take time getting used to it

I will go for a TTFAF FC sometime, not sure when. I really want to get it on Xbox 360 instead of PC, it feels more genuine getting it on original hardware instead of PC with 1000's of frames.

@@hasahchan4775 Yeah. The song is tuned quarter step up (so you go out of tune by a quarter) having learned this song on guitar, it still sounds weird in standard tuning on a real guitar.
For older songs they should have used Cliff.

This is harder than the actual instrument . Trust me . This song is one of the easiest to master rythm .
