I have this model in the UK, mine says EK instead of EU though. I bought it about 10 years ago, maybe more, for around £200. My 2nd VCR, from Toshiba, in the 90's, had a beautiful drop down door with controls like this one, that's why I was attracted to it, I'm not sure I knew how prized it was as a model though! On the rare occasions I use it, I always just cross fingers that it's OK & doesn't need a service, I'm in Ireland at the moment, and people like that are even rarer here than in the UK ;-).

That e200 cassette case sounded like it was warped by heat I would throw that blank away
