Excellent video of an awesome motor car. Thank you so much for making and sharing this content. It is so refreshing to hear only the "music" of that lusty V8 without the distraction of a (usually poorly informed) commentary or other twaddle. My father owned one in the 70's when I was a car mad teenager. My partner does not quite understand why I'm so in love with the P6B, and why I still desperately want to buy one of my own, all these years later. Showing her this (with the volume turned up) might just help her to "get it". ;)
I owned a Rover 3.5L V8 P6 in Bahama Gold for about 2 years back in the ‘70s. Beautiful, comfortable, safe luxurious car, drank petrol, hence the reserve lever. I also owned 2 Rover 2.000L P6 in Zircon Blue. Commanding Road presence. Lovely cars.
Good point but you have to remember that the Rover engineers, fully capable of the finest luxury (just look at a P5) were trying to move away from traditional "old world" style luxury to something more modern and contemporary, hence the use of light modern plastic instead. They kept with the leather initially as in their opinion it was still the best seat facing. Ambla and cloth appeared for the later models though
I used to think so too. But now I think the interiors are pure class. Rather than having a slab of wood in there. They're not wolseley or jags for that matter, in the 60s they were the future!

Gorgeous car. I have a P6B that is in very good condition but nothing like as good as this one. 👍
That is a very beautiful car. Must be the closest thing to a new one!

I had one, she was a beauty light green with 160 BHP
Quelle beauté :)
Always felt these cars deserved a full wood more luxurious dashboard like the Jags.

@@simonblake5563 Yes I suppose other producers were moving that way too, the seats look so luxurious I felt something was missing.
Looks a lot more attractive than the soulless rubbish produced now.
To videographer - try a tripod - works way good
