Surrogates _shouldnt_ be compensated (well surrogates shouldn't even be a thing but that's a whole other conversation!) Surrogates are not compensated in the UK and for good reason. Its bad enough that people are artificially creating human beings and implanting them in non biologically related rented wombs but the selling and buying of children is even worse!

Girl, you ain't getting one bit for them to do what they did for that family is God's gift. She is an angel. That's what she is, and I would really love for her to carry my baby that girl has given me such inspiration.

I have just discovered your channel and I am so in awe of you both! I was never lucky enough to have a child myself due to health issues, and never met the right partner to feel the need to plan having a baby. I am going through the menopause now and my emotions attacked me so badly at the beginning as this was the finalisation I was never gonna be a mother. But I'm getting through it, my cats are my furbabies 😻😻😻 but what you are doing is truly amazing 👏 ❤️ you are so selfless Sam and Dan, you are so supportive! I actually started tearing up watching this but not in an upset sense, but happiness which surprised me. Oh man, I love you guys xxxx
Ugh 🥺♥️ that’s my worst fear.. I just turned 30 and I’ve been single (by choice) for 8 years now. I took a year off dating after my last very toxic and abusive relationship. One year turned to five and I just started dating again right before covid.
Even tho I worked on myself and healed *so much,* I almost regret waiting so long 😔 dating is so difficult at this age and after terrible date after terrible date, I’m worried I’ll never find “the one.” It’s my dream to have kids and now I feel rushed and nervous it’ll never happen.
It seems like you’re getting to a place of peace with your situation and I hope no matter how my life goes, I’ll be able to do the same.
Can I ask, have you ever considered adopting?? That’s absolutely been a thought in the back of my mind for a long, long time. Thanks for sharing your experience either way, super grateful for open and honest people like you!! ♥️

I struggled for 6 years with infertility and had secondary infertility with our 3rd child. I know the parents are so thankful. Glad this went well!!

@asphaltcowboymafia1011 right :( it breaks my heart that she went through all this to give them a baby & then they just act like she's nothing but a baby factory. I know some ppl are like that but knowing they didn't intend for that to happen in the beginning to them changing & acting the way they did is just awful..I'm so glad that the ppl for the 2nd journey seem like amazing humans ❤
Dan and Sam you both are so strong and so amazing to do this not once but two times and give someone a family they can not otherwise have. Dan we all praise Sam and believe me I do too but, for you Dan to support your wife, deal with all the emotions and her body changes, and all that goes along with this, you are an amazing man, a role model to all men. What a wonderful, heartwarming, caring video this was. I am happy your video popped up for me to watch. I cried like a baby while you went thru labor with a huge smile and a wonderful husband by your side. When I was younger I could not have my own children .we tried many ways to adopt and my sister wanted to do it for me. Too many change’s of heart at the last minute and then my sister had to many difficulties with her last pregnancy. I am an old lady now with no babies of my own but have many nieces, nephews, & now the great nieces and nephews. I have spoiled them rotten. I can’t thank you enough for making another family’s dreams come true. May God forever bless and watch over you and that lucky family. I just can’t tell you how much this meant to me. What a beautiful gift you and the family have given to the babies parents 💞 I struggled with infertility for 4.5 yrs. We now have our 13 yr old son. We are so thankful it finally worked for us to conceive. I looked into all our options because you know....4.5 yrs so we may need to try other options to have a baby but we were happy with out 1 sweet boy.
If I could do this for a person I totally would!!! Not every woman can do this so the ones who can are Queens...that's all I can say 😁👸 Such a special time...thank you for giving of yourself so much for another set of parents to finally have their sweet baby 💖
Can I ask how you managed to have your baby after 4.5 yrs. been ttc for the same amount of time too 😔
Of course! We eventually got pregnant with IUI and Clomid with a fertility specialist. My husband has low motility and I have a tilted uterus as well as past Chemo as a child. Dr told us it would never happen on its own.
Have you both been to a Dr yet about it? I remember feeling VERY helpless and considering adoption. Then it just happened...even with the IUI's I always expected a negative. I was floored when it was positive 😳 I also have PCOS. Have never been pregnant again..but never went back either to try again after I had a accident my body couldn't handle that again.
Ooookay, so I’m ~36 weeks pregnant and bawling. 😭 I remember hearing when you were trying to help the first family. You’re an amazing human. 💕

I love watching your surrogacy journey! I had to have an emergency hysterectomy and what I'd give to have a surrogate! Unfortunately, too expensive. But you are an amazing woman and so thankful for women like you!

I just want to thank you and bless you for giving couples a chance of being parents. You are the brightest star and the most compassionate woman I have ever met. You have such a heart of gold for "renting your womb out"...lol. I would have loved to do this, but I had to have a partial hysterectomy after my son, because of cancerous cells on cervix. My last baby came super quick like that. I was stuck at a 7 for hours and one of the nurses had me lay on my side with the opposite leg kinda propped up and the next think I knew she was here. I did get the epidural, but it didn't have time to work so I felt EVERYTHING lol but they were nice enough to wait until it kicked in to stitch me up at least...you did great! I've really enjoyed watching your journey... we always joked that I should be a surrogate, even my L&D nurses but now I'm actually considering it, such a beautiful gift that you were able to give a family.
Have you thought about being a surrogate?
@@devonlengacher3403 I have. I don't know what the general requirements would be, like to "qualify" or if they're different for everyone, but it's definitely something I would consider doing. I really had pretty easy, low risk, just textbook pregnancies and deliveries, no complications, and healthy babies so I feel like I would be able to

I am so proud of you! I will say this over and over! You did amazing and with a crazy delivery, I would expect you to look a little haggard and worn out but you were all smiles and looked beautiful! I have planning on using a surrogate or adopting children since I was 12 years old.

You are such a trooper! Amayzing…😮. How are you feeling now? Are you doing well? Did you have some postpartum sadness etc? Did you quickly get back to normal? How are you doing?
The hee hee hoo is for breathing through contractions. It's just a pattern to help remind you to breathe. When I am in labor I tend to hold my breath during contractions so I have to be reminded to breathe.
There is no financial compensation large enough for pregnancy and birth. Anyone who says you shouldn’t be compensated should put themselves on that budging bed for free for someone else.
Birthing
Can I ask where the birth parents were at this point like why were they not in the labor and delivery room with you? I would figure being the surrogate you would want the birth parents in there. Did they just choose not to because you know they wanted you to have that few moments with the babies since you carried it for them or are they running behind, I'm trying to figure out how you guys do things because I really want to be there with my babies born. I wanna be the one to cut the umbilical cord like I did with him like I wanna be in the room like I wanna help you deliver my baby so that's why I'm trying to figure this out.

It's so weird that you can't eat any solids while in labour in the US. I live in Norway, and I ate all up until I was pushing. Even while pushing I had some pear. And I also worked at a maternity ward and know that we don't stop anyone from eating.
I am from Poland living in the US. This is crazy for me too. With my first, I was trying to eat healthy the whole pregnancy and during labor for 42h they didn’t let me to eat anything else than jelly
@@katarzynagasior2548 they even tell moms in labour to try and eat something because she is gonna need the energy!
Yeah, many things for moms during pregnancy, during labor and pospartum in us are just not right. People say it all of the time. You can go to labor and set your line but tge doctor would make you feel crazy for even asking. I really don’t know why the us is the only developed country where they do it.
I told my nurse that I am really hungry and if I am not going to eat I am going to be so upset.
We also have 6 weeks! of maternity leave. Then we have to go back to work!
We also don’t have ANYBODY to check on us postpartum. Once you leave the hospital, you are on your own with a new baby.
When I think about it it makes me so angry!!!
Especially, women here don’t do anything about it and they are ok with it.
@katarzynagasior2548 yes, it seemes as if they don't want to be home with their baby. In Norway, we are fighting for the mother to be home at least for the whole first year. Right now, we are at about 8 months, and then the father takes over for about 3 months. After that the child will usually start kindergarten.

They were next to them doing skin to skin before they moved to their room I believe. They have just agreed not to show the baby or the intended parents on their social media but can share the rest of their journey.

@@lilshortyy04right! And to do something like this part of the reason has to be giving the gift of life. It is the ultimate sacrifice of your life… for money or not! And I’m my opinion it deserves a lot of money. The strength she has to be able to do this is immeasurable. The physical and mental shock to the body to have a baby and go home without one can be very overwhelming and in my opinion is also amazing and her husband is the best. He is by her side for it all and I think that is equally as amazing.

She probably was, she may not have wanted to be filmed
They clearly state that the IM (intended mother) was rubbing Sams back during labour and that they went to their own room with baby after the delivery

These women shouldn't be compensated for caring another person's child. What if it wasn't for a so again I wouldn't have half of my kids and every one of my surrogate I paid 50 grand or more to plus I went out and bought all their clothes I went out and got them like this every month of the birth you know every single month of the pregnancy I got the surrogate mom something cute and then you know thanking her throughout the entire process now there was a couple times where I was very edgy with my surgeon because I didn't trust her, and because I thought I could when I signed the papers and threw the pregnancy I seen the things were not the way they should be my last one. My son was born January 23 of this year. My babies entire pregnancy and none of us knew it because every time she had a doctors appointment she was clean for the appointment With this signing contract ended up not even biologically mine because she screwed everything up adopt this baby because she screwed up my last six eggs. I have eight eggs left because I had cancer 20 years old and I want more baby. I want a healthy baby surrogate is gonna take consideration to heart me tell me the truth that's why when I saw Sam and dad like I want it. I wanna get to know that I'm here in Orlando, Florida and it's gonna be about another year before another surrogacy but I have read your guises profile. I have seen everything you guys have been up against with other surrogate situations and I would really really like to talk to you too about caring my baby for me, it would be a blessing for you. So your last surrogate was pregnant with someone else's baby, and then you adopted it? And you said at the appointments she was clean, do you mean she was using drugs but was off them for the appointments? It's a little hard for me to follow along in your story.
Seems to me you tried to cut corners and find some random person off the internet. A legitimate surrogate would be protected against this. If you cant afford it, than adopt. There are so many homeless and orphaned babies that need homes. If you had a legitimate case you could sue but they would check every step of the way. You got scammed because you tried to cheat the system. If you cant afford a surrogate you can't afford a child
