Mike sitting there watching you drive that tractor reminds me of the time I drove my neighbors tractor it was brand new at the time 90s model case 5120 that was the first tractor I ever learn to drive that tractor is what got me in into tractors and farming to begin with love your videos keep up the good work.....hash tag super clean giveaway...... thanks for the videos Mike.... Brother
This reminds me of when I used to help some family friends cut, rake and bale hay. Their dad was like a second dad to me and I learned a lot from him. Thank you for the great videos and Happy Fathers Day! #supercleangiveaway
When I was a teenager, the discbines did not exist yet. We first used a 7' (wimper/cry) Hesston Mo/Co and then upgraded to a 9' NH Haybine. I did not wear ear protection (such a new concept). The equipment noise was drowned out by the head banging hard rock playing on the tractor fender radio! My family said they new where I was cuz they could hear me 1/2 mile away! Man I wish this was smell-a-vision!!
Great job! Thanks for making videos that I can relate to. Shows that you can be a quality operation without millions of dollars in equipment. Hope your hay goes up without a hitch.
Your buddy has an absolutely gorgeous setup. That is what I call having fun mowing alfalfa. I could do that all day long I never get tired. Hope you're having a great day so far
at 11:28 you get a good view of what John Deere calls the "Rockshaft Swivel Hitch". It is a very well engineered setup, the tractor pto shaft goes straight into the bottom of a 90 degree vertical gearbox, which is also the drawbar pivot point on the headstock. The power goes upward into another 90 degree gearbox which sends the power back thru a shaft inside the tongue, where at the end, there is a pair of universal joints to handle the frame moving to the left or right controlled by a hydraulic cylinder. We have a pair of these JD 835 MoCos with urethane roller conditioners and the Rockshaft Swivel Hitch, they are pretty reliable and produce a nice consistent cut.
Sorry for my late reaction was doing replanting some cornground anyways great video and realy Nice tractor have a good day greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
It might say 4320 on the side panels but that thing has a 4520 or 4620 engine. 4320's did not have the intercoolers on them just a turbo. She is nice either way.
@@LisleviewFarm Yea, the 4320 didn't come with that turbo bulge in the hood from the factory. They did a good job on the sheet metal work. The engines for all three models 4320, 4520, and 4620 were the same size just different compression ratios on the 4520 and 4620. The 4620 also came with the intercooler. Spent some time on a 4620 back in the 1980's planting. My neighbor has a super clean all original 1972 4620. She is a beauty. He uses it twice a year to pull a five yard scraper to maintain his driveway. Maybe gets 10 hours of use a year.
Yeah it was a long day but we got that field chopped and put in the silo the next day. I gotta put that video together. The moco was nice but I still would rather have the self propelled discbine and we definitely aren't getting a new one of those! lol
Good video mike. That 4320 looks to be in great shape. Wish our 835 had the 2pt swivel hitch instead of a drawbar hitch. I will agree mowing on your left is a bit awkward.
That other guy stole my comment, sun’s out guns out 💪💪😂😂 Did you find it dryied slower not having the rubber conditioning rollers? That’s some beautiful alfalfa
That tractor looks like it's been modified. Whoever did it had to make room for a larger turbo charger and an intercooler. The 4320 didn't come with an intercooler on it. What type of conditioner do you like the best? The poly rollers or those v tines? Good video thank you for sharing.
Its a nice tractor. They've done a nice job with it. I've really only run the poly rollers. This was the first time ever using the V tines. They didn't seem to do a bad job.
After we combined the corn I disked the corn stalks in the fall and we spread manure on it throughout the winter. That was a couple years ago. Its about due to be turned over and made corn again
Suns out guns out lol. That 4320 is a beautiful tractor
It sure is a beautiful tractor. Lol thanks, trying to even out the farmers tan a little

Those are good memories. It did smell good. Chopping corn silage is another time smell-a-vision would be great
U weren't kidding that tractor looked really nice
Yes it was!
Great job! Thanks for making videos that I can relate to. Shows that you can be a quality operation without millions of dollars in equipment. Hope your hay goes up without a hitch.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy them
Really like the wideos, my 4320 was my favorite tractor when I was farming in NJ
Thank you I'm glad you like them. I have to get down to NJ again sometime for a visit
4320 was introduced in 1970 50 years ago along with the 4620 & 7020
And still getting used today
Your buddy has an absolutely gorgeous setup. That is what I call having fun mowing alfalfa. I could do that all day long I never get tired. Hope you're having a great day so far
Thanks Eric. He has a great line up of older tractos. It was a fun time but I did miss the self propelled! It's good to change it up some times
That is a sharp 4320! Well taken care of looks like!!
It was a very sweet tractor. My buddy has a nice line up of tractos that are well taken care of
mikep7810 10-4 ya that’s neat!!!
Nice looking alfalfa. I'm going to do our second cut this weekend.
Nice! We are getting rain here this weekend. Hope yours goes well

I thought that mower did a great job. That hitch was great
Love those swing frames. When I ran a 956 mower on a 7800 I always would go up and down.. happy haying Mike...
Have you ever been in a self propelled?
Yes sir I have... a John Deere 4995 and an R450. Both I have put a few years on then I got to use a butterfly mower set up
@@rickperry9546 How did you like the butterfly mower set up?
This way of mowing just like when my great grandfather mowing with are 835 moco # super clean give away

Thank you. Sorry to hear you had to replant
Nice old iron. That looks to be a good size field. Good video. 👍
Thank you. Its a beautiful tractor. It was too bad I had to take it back.

She sure is. I would have liked to have kept it longer!
The previous owner tuned up the tractor. I think it's the original motor but has an intercooler and an oversized turbo .
They did a nice job. Really nice tractor

Good looking alfalfa Mike. Good video as well.
Thank you Scott. Hopefully things are going well down your way
It's wet again. Hope your getting that alfalfa in the silo. Any chance of a new deer e mock in the future?

That swivel hitch was great. So easy to turn
Really love the sound of those 20 series! and all that smoke and the end!😍
They are great tractors
I assume you did the 6 to 8th gear combo out of the driveway. I love how they geared them together
Yes you are right. I always pull out on the road in 6th then go to 8 with that transmission
I used to use 2nd and 5th when i first started driving for spreading manure. Easy shifting when I first started. And it was on a 4320.
First 4320 I ever saw with intercooler
My buddy said the engine is from a 4620
@@mikep7810 makes sense then
That other guy stole my comment, sun’s out guns out 💪💪😂😂
Did you find it dryied slower not having the rubber conditioning rollers?
That’s some beautiful alfalfa
No it actually dried down really well. There was a nice breeze to go along with a lot of sun

It could be an engine out of a combine or the intercooler was added. I have seen many 4250,4430,4440 4450s and others with an intercooler added.
Surprised to see this 4320 has a intercooler when it was offered with one when introduced in 1970.The 4620 was tho
My buddy said it has an engine from a 4620
Is the 4840 urges guy’s tractor
No the 4840 is my buddy's tractor
Nice mower, beautiful tractor. We run a 4020 on our new holland 499 want to get a 835 moco with roll conditioner if milk prices allow
You won't be disappointed. I was impressed with the 835
Nice to see all green in field lol nice looking hay what year of a stand is that field?
Thank you, this is the 4th year. Might get 1 more year out ofnit before we turn it over
Is the 4840 ure guy’s tractor
no the 4840 is my buddy's tractor
Great video mike. Are you guys going to chop all that alfalfa and put it in the silo or are you going to bag it? Have a great day!
Thank you. We are going to chop it all and put it in the silo
Great video and glad I stumbled across your channel. How many acres was that field? Subscribed >>>
Thank you Gary. I appreciate you subscribing. That field is about 16 acres
How many acres is that field? Long day!
Yes it was definitely a long day. That field is about 16 acres
Are you guys located in cincinnatus my dad thinks he knows your dad we owned a farm in marathon

4th gear
Well hello
Mike p 7810good video as usual thank you
Thank you!
Self propelled mowers have a different mowing style back and fourth versus around and around.
I was going back and forth with this mower. With dry hay my dad likes taking the self propelled around
Nice looking hay...you guys lime or just poor the cow cr@p to the ground before ya planted that?
After we combined the corn I disked the corn stalks in the fall and we spread manure on it throughout the winter. That was a couple years ago. Its about due to be turned over and made corn again
Great video. I should wear ear protection on our tractors to but I don’t bc I like the sound of the tractor and equipment. Keep up the great work
Yeah I can still hear the tractor and equipment pretty good even with the ear muffs
How big it the field of Alfalfa were you cutting going to be silage or bales nice video.
Thank you. I think its around 16 acres. We are chopping it and putting it in the silo
Nice looking crop!!
Thank you, it made some real nice haylage
Thats got to suck no cab
It wasn't too bad for just the one time. At least it wasn't in the 90s
Love your videos!!!
