So the blue wings and the blue scarf thing that was around Hyunjin and Lee Know's eyes in the Stray Kids mv references their song Blueprint which they say the name of that song in the mv along with others... Blueprint is a song I don't think you've gotten to yet but when you do omg its one of my all time favorite Skz songs and definitely one of their most underrated ones.
Mountains has so many references to gods & fate in it. -Changbin coming down from lightning like Zeus (The thunderous one) -Felix writing laws of the universe, like fates. And also manipulating the surface world. (Storms & the flaming big wheeler) -Lee Know & Seungmin playing chess with skyscrapers, over seen by I.N -What looks like a Mayan pyramid to the gods behind them, but it's damaged & the part that was ripped out is in the circular cage that looks like something for Atlas to hold. -The titans they were referring to are the ones in mythology that came before the gods. Atlas was one. He was sentenced to hold the world on his shoulders as a punishment. Atlas was referenced in Megaverse. And here they have a globe that is supposed to be a punishment, that holds a part of the pyramid to the gods that has been torn off. And instead of seeing it as a punishment, SKZ are playing with it. They are climbing it & spinning around. The faceless masses are trying to move it, and Chan just holds it in place by leaning on it. (supporting the industry on his shoulders) -Olympus Mons was on the sign behind Changbin. That is the highest mountain on record. And it's on Mars. And Mars is a god of war & agriculture. -I knew about golden apples, but silver were new to me. I had to do a bit of research. Golden apples are associated with the sun. And have properties ranging from instilling greed, chaos, and discord, eternal youth, to love. Golden apples appear in many different myths, from Celtic, to Greek & Roman. The most interesting thing I found about golden apples, is that they grow from silver trees. Silver wood, leaves, and flowers. It isn't said if the apples are gold from the beginning, or turn gold when ripe. On the other hand, silver apples are less well known. Silver apples represent the moon, and soft femininity. All instances of silver apples I have found are calm. They gather moonlight in streams. They thrive in the soft light of the moon, rather than the harsh light of the sun.So. SKZ could be saying that they thrive in the lack of light. (Out of the popular spotlight) Or...It might be a rarer golden apple. Because golden apples range in colour, including red gold. So they might be saying this is a white gold apple, instead of silver. But it still pertains to mythology & gods. Especially since Felix is inspecting it as Han sits on the Atals globe and they say to call them "Pantheon". -The last scene with them standing around the mini city really brings back to my mind Victory Song & Miroh. In victory song & Miroh, they were planning out & declaring their intent to take control of a city. In Mountains, we have them as gods playing with reality and seeming to take interest in a city...Which if we skip to CHK CHK BOOM, they are taking it over. Because in track order, it goes Mountains & then CCB. (Which....If you wanna pull the gods angle into CCB, they are already doing godly things. They are wandering through art, making furniture fall from the sky, painting the town with graffiti that glows at certain times, and a lot more.) -I also had the feeling of Social Path with I.N avoiding the faceless people in narrow confines. -And I had to pause when Seungmin was looking into the buildings that they were wandering in. (Changbin, Seungmin, and I.N most notably.) Because they did a close up shot of his eye....It had to be a reason...And it's a reflection of the computer room that Felix & Hyunjin were typing on the computer in & had the model. When we next see Seungmin, he's in the room & then reaches his hands into the sky of the model. They played with so much mythology in this. So many references to gods & titans. If you remember your mythology, titans were what came before the gods. They were punished & locked away for being to "dangerous & powerful". Atlas was a titan. Give these things a think.
When I watch the Mountains MV I get the impression that they are at the top right now and they are leading the industry so for me the people in the video that are going after them is the rest of the industry trying to catch up to them, or it could be the haters chasing them.

(Also him filming in Mixtape: OH) -Changbin standing in smoke & light (alone) like Han in Lonely St. -flashbacks of Lonely St. Hyunjin in the glass box, & Seungmin's bandaged hand gripping a wall for support. -The top of the elevator from Hellevator, but instead of the lavender fields they run through the bare concrete of District 9. -Picking up the key from Double Knot, but turning it in the elevator panel like in the Yellow Wood trailer in the Hellevator instead. -Them in a theater like in SKZFLIX, but watching their old concerts and performances. -The blue blindfold & blue wings from Blueprint. And the clip of the members forming Chans wings in Spread My Wings/Young Wings as well. -The grey bus is from District 9, but the seats inside are from Grow Up. -Standing on top of the bus to sing, like in Grow Up. -and at one point the bus inside looks like the subway from Maniac (to me at least) -Running through a tunnel like in My Pace -Felix & Hyunjin's hair close to what it was in Thunderous & Seungmin having the short hair of Hellevator & My Pace. -Seungmin singing with smoke and a blur added that feels like speed, brings to mind TOP and when the elevator goes out of control in the Levanter trailer. -Them grouped in the elevator, singing to the roof reminds me of them in Get Lit. -Lee Know singing "There is no last step out" is directly from Chan talking in fanmeets/concerts. -Lee Know being the only one with his eyes open, like in Venom & Lonely St. -The negative flickering transition seems to be from Easy. And also the flickering transition of one to all in the elevator like in Megaverse. So many of us teared up & cried for this. And the Hellevator letting them off at Haven....What could have been our name. Before they decided on Stay, they tossed around the idea of calling us Haven. Because we are their safe place, their solace.
Yeahhhh, Leavanter era was 5 yrs ago now ;0; They have soooo much stuff from 2020-2023 u haven't seen yet :v Tho I've seen it all, but there are a bunch of refs I didn't catch!

Yay Stray Kids I'm excited!!! I love Mountains it's probably my favorite b side on the album and the mv made it so much better.. Stray Kids mv ngl it made me cry especially hearing Felix sing and going back through their journey... And Jjam is well im still not completely sold on that song but I do love the music video for it tho.
