very cool. hung out with tommy and his band perfect for a couple days while on thier tour in columbus ohio - they played the Newport and Stache's! those fellas were so polite
Ryan Smith is a great addition to Soul Asylum, looking forward to their next record. Tommy was great in Soul Asylum too, caught him with them once back in 2011. Get The Streets back in the set list
"Don't Tell a Soul" was The Replacements doing their best to sound like U2 and "All Shook Down" was The Replacements doing their best to sound like REM. (IMO) And also IIMO every Replacements record is just a bit better than the previous. The only exception is "Sorry Ma" which is just out of this world.
As silly as this may sound, I've actually stayed awake at night a couple of times, debating with myself and ranking every Mats album from start to finish. I've come to the conclusion "Sorry Ma" is absolutely untouchable and is my go to Replacements album all the live long day.
Wow, Tommy actually looks way healthier than when I was seeing thenMats and him in is early twenties in the eighties , love that human. I wonder if his secret is that urine colored substance he is drinking?
Nice job !!! Does Tommy keep in touch with Paul anymore. And even though it's a Tommy interview does Paul have any idea if he's ever gonna make music again?

That’s so cool- he is a 100% class act!
Teaching Tommy those songs when Tommy was 11, and Bob was only 18. That tells you how freaking GOOD Bob was. RIP man.
they are/were both brilliant. What they accomplished was incredible at any age!
Thank you for the awesome interview with Tommy! Keep up the good work Ryan!!!
I appreciate the kind words!
This was great. 👍🏻
thank you so much! glad you dug it🙂
You’re the man, sick interview
thank you kindly!
Excellent interview, thanks! We met Tommy a few months ago at a small gig he did in our city and he was just awesome. Cheers from Canada!

Such a great conversation, well done and thank you.

Right on. “Sorry”7 is truly uncanny. Fully realized and perfect
i didn't realize it but Bob was an amazing guitar player and Billie Joe pointed it out, That after Bob left, the guitar playing was weakened.
i'm gonna get me some gloves tomorrow! apparently, a really hip look now.
😂 absolutely 👍🏼
What's the tune at 15:13?
That is the song “Manipulation”
just a little constructive criticism: the live clips are way louder than the interview
Thank you I appreciate the feedback and will keep that in mind for future videos!
He is Paul W brother from another mother
absolutely!

That is an excellent question- as far as I know they keep in touch but I didn’t ask that. I’ll ask him next time around…
better not. @@SecretChordOfficial
Great questions horrible set location.
