You are SO lucky. I haven't even gotten one quad in almost 2 years, and that's taking at least 3 trips a month. The game deals them to you! I've probably held 3-of-a-kind thousands of times now and haven't gotten the 4th card. I'm on a seemingly unbreakable losing streak. I can't even remember what it's like to get 4 of a kind. Seriously, I have not been ahead for even one second in almost TWO YEARS.
I dont hold the kicker with the three of a kind? Ive always felt that I give myself an extra card to catch the four of a kind. Aces through fours are 25% of the deck wich gives you a good chance of hitting the fourth of a kind and kicker? Happy hunting☺
I'm not sure I agree with the holding the kicker philosophy especially when dealt 3 Aces. Sure you'd like to get the BIG aces and kicker win but $2000 for four aces isn't a bad win and you are lowering you chance at getting that holding the kicker. Same with holding a kicker with three 4's. $800 beats $15 and you lower your chances of that holding a kicker
According to a major video poker guru holding a kicker is NOT the right play as you block a potential ace being the 10th card and in addition there are 12 kicker cards so dropping on still leaves 11 to draw.
By using your 'proper' strategy of holding the kicker, 0 for 14!!! Still better odds of pulling at least the 4 of a kind holding only the trips. Your theory stinks so far
Why on earth, would you hold another card when you have 3 of a kind? Like you had 3 aces and you hold another card like a 2 or a 3? Your missing out on four of a kind by only getting one card? Please let me know why, maybe I'm not playing right???
comps in my local isnt the best, every point equals to 1 dollar cycled and every 2000 points is 10 bucks in fp. Being top tier memeber, i believed there is also additional 15% of monthly points earned added.. Bankroll for video poker really varies from 1000 to 2000 per session if i could hold the urge to play slots haha
no way in hell you should be holding a kicker when you're dealt 3 aces, you're only hurting your chances of getting the 4th ace..enjoyed the video though!
