difference is :
In 420 there is no mute, no mic gain knob, no headphone port.
In 421 there is mute button and mic gain but NO Headphone port
in 422 mute button, mic gain, and headphone port all are given.

Yes this is best mic in 5k for ASMR videos because of its high sampling rate and frequency and larger mic capsule of 16mm which records every little sound detail around your sound of passing saliva down the throat (Sorry for weird example but you got my point)

but in this mic you will not get controls on mic incase you want to use it with mobile phone you cant control mic gain like in PM422. So if you are using AU04 with mobile then mic gain automatically set to 100% that records the enviromental sound as well I mean the noise in room. Your room should be soundproof then.. or you can use this mic on laptop with Audacity software and set the mic gain through that.

Condensor mic are good for singing aur koi bhi Aisa kaam jismein clarity chahiye iski sensitivity jada hoti hai so you can record ASMR with this. Dynamic mics aapko mouth ke paas rakh ke bolna hota range and senstivity kum hoti.. but iska benefit bhi hai they have good noise cancellation by default. Maono PM422 is better in recording ASMR videos. Boya BY M1 is also good if budget is below ₹1000. But if you listen both audio side by side then there will be clear difference. In Boya M1 mein mic capsule chota hai toh vo audio mein depth and clarity missing hogi.. Aur Maono PM422 mein natural sound effects feel hote hai with balanced Treble and Bass.
