just got my first ever bike today, ninja 300!!!! im pumped i drove it home and my buddy followed me who knows what he's doing told me i did a great job and I didn't stall. ( have 0 experience) XD
Love the mt07 and r7 motors. Sat on a r7 and thought it was alright. But once I sat on the gsx8r I realized it’s really comfortable and still has a somewhat forward leaning position but not as lean forwards than the r7 but somewhat similar. Also you get a lot more tech on the gsx8r than the mt/r7. That’s why I’m getting the gsx8r as my first bike in a couple months :) just my opinion.

I know 3 people with ducatis and they don't think it's been significantly more unreliable than the next bike but if something does need to be done it's more expensive and labor intensive to fix. Even the 30k fireblade rrr sp only got 165 to the wheel on cycle world's dyno. R1 got 162. A ninja h2 got 190 to the wheel. The v4r got 204 to the wheel, While weighing 100 pounds less than an h2. V4s got 186. People don't have to get mad that he ditched a japanese bike for a ducati like marquez. I don't think he thinks he's better than them now. That's just how they take it because they get all in their feelings because deep down inside they want a panigale too. If they weren't jealous there wouldn't be anything to get upset about and feel the need to talk a bunch of 💩. Japanese bike owners talk more crap about other bikes than anyone, than say that everyone else is the douche.. 😥

Surprised you didn't mention the Speed Triple 1200RR you used to own. I'm looking at the Rocket 3 or the Diavel V4 as my next bike. What's your take on this?
I will tell you and this is completely serious: Act like a respectful and responsible adult, no matter how young you are. (Good grades, do your chores, etc.) Second, do your homework on proper safety gear. (Good quality helmet, riding boots, riding jacket and gloves.) Show your findings to mum. It will show you are trying to be safe. If you are working or can do something to earn money, offer to help pay for the bike and gear. Third, take a motorbike safety course. And finally, and most important, DO NOT ask to get a 600cc or up bike as your first bike. Get a Ninja 400 or other small displacement bike as your first bike. Ride it carefully and maintain it well, so when you are skilled enough to go bigger, you can sell the beginner bike at a good price. I got my first bike (motocross bike) at age 26 and even as an adult those tips helped to win my mom over on the idea. 😊
Did the bike come with that black design on the tank and the back? I'm a beginner looking to get a bike soon. Taking the msf course in a little over a month. But that custom color looks really good. What are the parts and color of those custom color parts called? Thanks in advance.
I'm also not getting this bike I'm looking into getting Suzuki sv650, or Kawasaki z650, MT07 nothing crazy expensive. If anyone knows if that custom color piece is available for those bikes or any other bikes that are on the cheaper side please comment. Thanks

Ducati V4 > Aprilia RSV4? You're fucking kidding aren't you? Let's talk about the drawbacks of the V4, having owned V4 for over a year, and a current and former owner of an Aprilia RSV4. The V4 is dog cruising around, the mirrors rattle, vibrate, you can't see anything out of them, you try and move them and they'll break. The heat, the heat, is simply, unbearable, if you're not riding the living fuck out of it, it's absolute torture, here in Australia, riding around in the middle of winter at 2-3am, in 4 degree weather, and I'd be dripping in sweat after the first set of red lights. The heat is simply unbearable. The steering on the bike, simply isn't for slow speed turning (or u-turn's), the number of times I'd turn the handle bars and clip my fingers into the tank, is just ridiculous. Not to mention it sounds like shit, even with a $4500 slip-on exhaust... like for like, there's simply no contest, the Aprilia RSV4 is a better bike.
I can agree with the heat being quite ridiculous, but the RSV4 certainly isn’t a cool running bike. You make sacrifices with large displacement liter bikes, they all rattle to their own extent, they’re not designed for slow speed maneuvering so you’ll deal with that on all of them. This is coming from a RSV4 > V4 perspective as well, I just can’t agree with these points aside from clipping fingers on the tank which is beyond annoying for a 20k+ bike. Being an enthusiast of sport bikes over any other style, I don’t have many complaints about the bikes that I’m not willing to sacrifice and deal with to continue riding sport bikes, there are plenty of other styles that solve all of your problems and gripes about them.
@@Morvyck You're not wrong, if you "love" the bike, you'll deal with all of it's bullshit. I took the plunge to buy my "dream bike" and realized that all of the above thing's I mentioned, I'm just not willing to deal with, especially for the "most premium" motorcycle on the market, it's a damn shame. I've ridden every litre, and none of them have the heat problem like the Ducati.. Even the RSV4 has a "hot spot" around the ankles, but it's not blowing a blowtorch on your legs just cruising around.
My second v4 had 19 now 24 v4 over year nothing but oil change no problem. 20 K on 19 then trade it for 24 .had 3 Japanese low mileage bikes bunch of problem including gearbox replacement on zx 10 r. Rode new s 1000rr 23 did like it to me before i buy bmw i would purchase Japanese bike. Ducati panigale v4 on deferent level i purchase akro up map marchesini wheels. Went on two deferent dino 1 dino 208 hotday 211 on second completely deferent dino .this was just basic up map akro filter. Now show me any bike that can compare with minimum mods 210 hp to rear wheel on pump gas. The person that dino my bike said with more ext rev limited i could of easily made 215 on pump. Race map mr12 and we taking crazy numbers. Love everything about this bike and i feel a lot of jealousy and hate too. Not for everyone for sure. From my experience by flashing s 1000rr and pushing that engine to limit u risky damage motor cuz what program by factory is save anything else u killing engine that why i went with v4 .😅😅😅
Agree with the Diavel V4 being a great alternative. My Streetfighter V4 is comfy but I still have to deal with the short service intervals. 😂

i would advise against the triple, the diavel is a much more dramatic and sportier bike i’d go with that

I suggest you try out the S1000xr, similar idea to the diavel but i think its cooler and more versatile. Then again, i think diavels are ugly af XD

My first bike was a 2016 S1000XR and I love it. It’s heavy but I love how it handles. It tips in to turns very easily.
