Hey quick looting tip, for the 2nd centipede you killed if you check the corner of the room it spawned in theres some generally good loose loot there, its where i usually get blue meds or jewellry from when running goblin caves and makes up for any bad luck on the centipiede loot.
I'm 99% sure ur right about rangers being best class with gear. That's how I feel at least, so easy to get smoked fast by one and they tank a lot more than you'd think.
I was playing with a ranger last night using a purple crossbow and he 1 shot 90% of the mobs and players from across the map we came across it's actually stupid.

@@Verienn you definitely can. wizard got harsh nerfs on damage. fighter got really harsh nerfs on his tankiness, both on his end and on all ranged weapons getting huuuge pen buffs. fire bottles are now magic dmg, which fighters will most often have to take the brunt of, and have no prots against. their main weapon falchion caught a damage nerf. i played a game with fighter, full blue and purple plate. and i got 3 shot by a not good rolled green set ranger.

Mage didn't need a nerf at all , it's one of the least played classes for good reason. It takes a brain to play it. Zap was the only thing that might have needed it

Most importantly you can loot library or kill centipede, that's consistent and profitable. Inspect people at the start to possibly find a well geared target, best matchups for wizard are barbarians and fighters, rare but can fluke lots of money

You are really good. Great vid! I decided from the start that I'm going to main wizard, regardless of the need. The gameplay is just too much fun and dynamic. How much damage does Zap do after nerf?
Zap didnt get nerfed much by default, maybe by 1 or 2 points of damage less. The nerf was to scaling, so all +magic dmg on gear is worth less. (Practically every base spell got nerfed since the default magic power bonus, which is around 25%?, is only applied 50%)

The problem is the leader board. They usr the high rollers game to balance the game, and the top Wizards are gods, the think is that a normal wizard is always overwelmed.
It should be like that though, you can die in 2hits to ANY class in the game as wizard, but apparently im not suppose to feel strong when i grind out good as gear and then havto play like a mechanical god, since NO class except wizard takes skill to play.

DUDE dagger wizard 2 shots me as a fully geared ranger. I used to get 2 hit by zap in full gear. It needed the nerf. Rogues also need a nerf too. They literally 2 hit me with a blue dagger.
You can 1-shot a wizard with a green longbow. Rogues are supposed to kill you fast if they can surprise you, if they just run at you and you cant kill them its a skill issue tbh.

I'm fine with wizards that have a 5k set doing massive damage, my problem with wizard is when a naked wizard can spam haste + invis + fireball and win fights against the less mobile melee classes when they're rocking green+ gear, a naked shouldn't be able to easy diff a figter in a 1k set, but range and mobility are too strong in this game rn. Its really a ranged meta, if you're straight melee you're just boned as soon as you meet a ranger or wizard. Edit: I think to nerf ranger, arrows shouldn't slow you on hit, at least then melee classes could close the distance. Also wizard shouldn't be able to cast haste and invis together, or lower the uses to 2 so you can only do it twice in a fight before you would need to sit down and meditate.

Heal potions now just do theyre base healing without a way to increase the actual healed amount of the spell its weaker now of course but, that changes little to nothing regarding wiz is still insanely strong bc of the Magical dmg and the easy dips or pushes with haste invis great vid whatsoever, mooooore
It did affect stuff in the video. Attribute bonus scaling at 50% for spells affects everything. Magical damage from books, orbs, staves, bonus magical damage on gear, magical power bonus from will, from perks. It's a massive nerf to wizard at every level of gear.
I think base wizard is still as good as before,it just doesn’t improve with the gear as well as other classes so the best wizards aren’t as good which I’d say they’ve over corrected on it but if it was like 60% or 55% instead of 50% I think it’d make sense,either way wizard still isn’t bad

Wizards have invis, haste, and a hit scan spell. And they do stupid damage with no gear because there is barely any magic resistance. Fuck em, nerf the class even more.
They're trying to curb the decked out characters from steamrolling new players in dungeons. For a new game that's already hard on newcomers, coming across several veterans each and every run isn't fun. The devs have to balance not only skills and gear but also entice new players to join the game.

Likely the Elf race. Trading 1 hp for 1 agility is really good and should be used by spellbook wizards.

Wizards have invis, haste, and a hit scan spell. And they do stupid damage with no gear because there is barely any magic resistance. Fuck em, nerf the class even more.

They're trying to curb the decked out characters from steamrolling new players in dungeons. For a new game that's already hard on newcomers, coming across several veterans each and every run isn't fun. The devs have to balance not only skills and gear but also entice new players to join the game.
This is an underrated take

@@xenird Agreed, if we aren't yelling at the monitor it would lose that thing that separates it from every other handholding grade six snowflake game. It's a tough job to find the right balance and not mess up that core tenet.
So veterans should be punished for having played the game more? How does that make sense in an extraction dungeon crawler lootfest? Look at tarkov. If you start in 2-3 weeks late into a wipe you have no chance at pvp and the game has been doing fine even with all the cheaters

Everyone seems to agree the nerf was too rough, im expecting them to revert it or make it like 75% scaling.
He just showcasing this video with a naked wizard is capable of. Extreme movement speed plus invisibility. Awesome damage. So yeah I think wizards are in a good spot.
