It is lack of high quality songs that makes this sort of song to even enter any chart at all in the first place. In the 70s and 80s when the standard of music was high, no one will get to know this song.
This is actually quality music compared to a lot of what’s mainstream these days. It has a good message about not running back towards your ex, it isn’t about sex or drugs, and Dua Lipa is a decent singer/performer
@@rand0mdude779 Music is made up of principally beat (Rythm), harmony, lyrics and vocals. But I can tell you that this music failed in all of this. Vocal is at best average and it is auto enhanced even at that. The lyrics muddled mess since most people may not even understand what he is saying at all. The beat is obviously auto tune which makes it so pedestrian that it is not different from numerous other songs. I can bet you that in the next one year no body would even be talking about this song. The test of a good song is one that stands the test of time ( evergreen). This song definitely does not belong to that category.
@Ivan Silva Any good art is like an old wine that gets better with time. Music is an art. Any way, you will grow up to appreciate the point I am making. Have you ever asked yourself why many people of your age still appreciate and enjoy classical musics like Beethoven, Bach, Handel and so on?
1) Comparing this to '70 music is like comparing Star Wars with Little Chicken just because both have aliens. 2) Don't like it? Don't listen. Go and grab your Beetles disc and let people enjoy what they want to listen.
