Kris's music is the soundtrack to my childhood
you win
You said it brotha' 🤙
Always enjoy a left handed guitarist playing an upside down right handed guitar. Without restringing the guitar.
I absolutely adore this version.
Just discovered this version, can't stop listening! such a pure and emotional performance.
He really has an authentic voice
I fell in love with the mother of my children to this song/album over the summer of 2003, driving around in my 2000 Chevy Malibu. Our son in the backseat in his car seat singing every word. Her hand in mine, moon roof open, thinking this is as good as it’s ever gonna get. Seven years later it was over, but once in a blue moon my brain drags me back to this song, and forces me to relive those beautiful memories. Thanks to The Ataris for making one summer of my life perfect.
You weren't in love with her before the baby???
@@cwrichardson3the baby in question wasn’t mine. He was 1.5 years old when I met her. I later adopted him as my own son.
Wow, incredible vocals in this. So different from the original.
With age comes perfection. Beautiful acoustic version !
This stuff brings me so back its crazy.. Love the Ataris. Kris is still amazing.
I met him at a gig a few years back. He was sitting there at the merchandise stand. Holy shit that's kris roe I though. Hung out with the guy for 15 minutes and bought a few shirts. Cool guy.
Rick Scheidt you luck bro.
I was surprised that he was the one manning his merch stand. I got to hang out with him too! Such a cool guy!
Same dude. Hes always at the merch stand before and after the gigs.
Same 20 years ago in Barcelona. Haven't had money to buy merch so he gave me some stickers. Nice dude!
High school love songs memories
So many good memories! :,)
i like how he changes the girls name each time instead of writing a song for each one.
Damn...dude, this is fantastic. Geez.
Respect for this guy ..
Really enjoyed this
Did you notice how he said Rachel instead of Whitney? Like in the original. Whatever girl he has currently I guess
I noticed it too! Was like wait...
i thought he said Richard lol. Had no idea what his girls name was, now i do
His wife, actually
It was Denise at some point too
@@ryanbreeze2312 his wife is Denise though
Gawd I love this song.
I wonder if they have played this song with distortion?
Did he say "Rachel" instead of "Whitney"?
I know kris is playing a flipped right handed but on this song is his open tuning eadggc? Those down strokes lol
Idk but I’d love to find the tab for this
@@Noodle.in.oodles I usually tune to eadggc. Playing mostly power chords within the 4 lower strings while keeping the 2 higher (tuned to g &c) open. I think it's something like C E Am G for the intro/verse. Throwing an F chord in for the chorus. I try to start the chords with up strums which seems to sound better. Hope this helps
@@Tonberryscactuars any advance in the chords?
A broken chords tune
Amazing..D-f# m- G -A
This and Blink 182 Rock Show always remind me of my ex girlfriend Sarah and great times at Chico’s.
nice
He plays the guitar upside down?
Yep. Always loved that about him.
Yeah, is left handed. Left handed guitars usually cost more because they are specialized so he learned to play upside down instead.
Amazing performance Kris. Keep it up man.
@@garrettcordova2001 Left handed guitars don't cost more. Very few manufacturers make left handed guitars.
@@garrettcordova2001 You could just switch the strings, like most of left handed people do. Also, playing simple music upside down is not that hard, I've done it myself and I'm not even a good player!
Can anyone tab this out?
Whats with the skinhead look?
Male pattern baldness and the video editor overdoing the saturation/contrast adjustments
starting to look like an advanced stage alcoholic
Chris Love definitely needs advanced dental care
