Great video. But random request: Can you please do a video on that BLA AGB behind you? How are you using it, how’s it working for you, how’s it sound compared with anything else you might be using? I had heard it a decade plus ago, and loved it compared with an actual SSL bus comp. I found and bought one about a year ago, but haven’t had time to get the studio back up. There’s very little information out there about it, so you’d be the only real video. I recall reading that it was tricky to set, and that you needed to use the comp & limiter together to get it to move right, but once you do, it’s basically a 33609 clone. Which until very recently, there were none. Thanks in advance.
Thank you, and yes that’s a great idea. My friend let me borrow it a few years back to try out and then moved away. I have tried it a few times on bass but didn’t get any sounds out of it that could compare to the plug in compressors I typically go for. (Most definitely user error on my part i’m sure). You mentioning it being used with the limiter/comp simultaneously is very interesting. I’ll have to try it out again and see what happens! I too have looked for videos about it with not much luck.
