I've been lucky enough to pack Lúcio and he's unreal together with VVD. He feels very agile for a centre back so I like how they complement each other. Maybe you could use him instead of Koundé and get another striker since you wasn't the biggest fan of Ginola. Also TB Cancelo is amazing as the fullback on balanced instructions imo so maybe him instead of Mendy?
